Alex breakfast sandwich: bacon/cheddar bagel, garlic aioli, white cheddar, egg, and sausage

First time thru this morning and I can't believe I haven't stopped by earlier. This drive thru coffee spot is tucked away on 99 and is such a gem. Their drinks are quirky but delicious and customer service is unreal. The girls working today were unbelievably friendly and gave great recommendations. They were busy so make sure to give yourself time- this isn't a quick Starbucks run. They're making creations in there. Also their breakfast bagel sandwiches are great!

We love Grounds! They're quite expensive so they're definitely not an everyday haunt, but their drinks are so fun and they're a great treat every once in a while. Baristas are so kind and always go above and beyond.

Super cute experience with really good coffee. I'd give the drink itself 4 stars, but aesthetics and service 5 stars. They have a ton of yummy flavor options, but their seasonal ghost option is what I really loved. I would definitely come again and I hope they do different things for each season!

    That's not light ice

Everything is great from here. The drinks are so fun and so good but my low stars are for how much ice they put in their drinks even when I said for light ice and they say ok. If they can't do light ice I'd rather them tell me they can't. I ask for light ice every single time and this is how the cup is filled every single time. I pay 13 dollars for this drink and I'd like more drink than ice. It's frustrating that I ask each time and every employee will say ok! But this is how my drink comes every time. Feels like a waste of money

Got the oatmeal creme pie and it was so good. Can't wait to try all the other drinks!

Grand opening in North Seattle, near Shoreline border back on 5/15/23.

Note: Opened 5/15/23 @ former drive through site that used to be Black Rock, Turtle Coffee, and Red Rock. Welcome Grounds Coffee Co. to North Seattle. The drive through is located at 143rd & Aurora/Hwy 99 next door to Kidd Valley, close to the Seattle - Shoreline border. This indie chain has other established sites located in Woodinville, Mukilteo, Snohomish, and Kenmore. I stopped by during their Grand Opening on 5/15/23. Very nice and upbeat barista that morning. Tasty, perfectly crafted iced mocha! Started a punch card too. Second visit was after a stop at the nearby Bitter Lake Post Office on 5/31/23. Thankful to see two baristas onsite, including the previous upbeat one. Again, good to report consistently crafted iced mochas. I got my usual 16oz and a 32oz (6 shots!) one for The Homie. Their beverage and light bites menu is vast. So many choices and reasonably priced. Definitely recommended!

Love this place. They go the extra mile with their food in their drinks. The baristas always brighten my day if I stop in morning or afternoon.

They have nailed the Halloween themed drinks. I love their each and every drink I have ever had. Their service is too good for a drive through coffee shop. Their menu is unique and taste is amazing. They also serve the best golden pumpkin latte which is too good. And you can request them to history for cute ghosts on your drink

OMG! Energy drinks never tasted this good. Obviously they needed to be put into one of these concoctions.

Left was a Halloween special energy drink with "the works". Right was Peach on a Beach with "the works".

The last few times I have been, have been so-so. I'm used to this neighborhood so didn't seem phased to mention that it's not a great neighborhood to be in but at-least you're safe in your car for the most part. The last time I went and ordered and everything was smooth but the employees just totally ignored me until it was time to pay or get my food and once I did they were nice but in the mean-time they were just talking to each-other like I wasnt a paying customer which is fine except that normally they are super outgoing and like to talk to the customers. Another recent time I went and got two drinks and two sandwiches.. the guy that was helping me was about to let us leave w/out paying or punching my card.. I made sure to remind him that I still had to pay and it was awkward after that and the next time I came he totally ignored me and had someone else help me. I understand it's embarrassing, we all make mistakes. Just had some weird interactions recently. It's also no parking, just drive-through. If you get the works they might drip down the cup on your way home so be prepared with napkins for that. They don't often tell you, but you can ask for a punch card and use it every-time you buy a drink-to get a free drink when it's maxed out.

Ice melting but lots of ice after asking for less ice and getting a large beverage at least if there was going to be ice in it.

Bad service.Over price for a drink that's made with a lot of ice and barely any liquid. $12 dollars. The price doesn't change if you want it with candy or without. I won't recommend this place. Go to Starbucks instead or Dutch bros or any other coffe shops. That I can name.

The Menu outside the drive thru

It's not your typical quick drive thru spot. SO WHAT?! Perfection takes a sec guys. These drinks are fun and made with love.

I swear I could eat those every single day if I could. The combo silog was awesome too because you get a little bit of everything, so it's perfect if you wanna try multiple Filipino breakfast staples in one plate. The whole place just felt super homey and comforting. Service was exactly what you'd expect visiting a Filipino household: warm, welcoming, and genuine. You really feel taken care of here.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged.
