Went to Coffeeholic with a friend on a Saturday morning. We ordered the Matcha Purple Haze and egg coffee, and both drinks were really good and definitely the highlight of the visit. The cashier was new so she probably made a mistake but I originally ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, but after I paid, the cashier came over to let me know they were out. I switched to a bacon, egg, and cheese instead and didn't ask for a refund even though it was cheaper. Unfortunately, when my order came out, there was no bacon, just egg and cheese but I had already left for work. The sandwich itself was pretty bland. You can add 4 extra shots and your drink still won't be strong or taste anything like coffee. This is not a coffee place. PROS: Nice Location & space to hang out. Good menu with rotating seasonals. Pastries & snacks sold. CONS: Shockingly overpriced for what it is! Makes no sense. They've turned a $3.50 drink into a $10 extravaganza. Nothing you get in this store is unique, all of the add ons are very common all over Seattle. You'll get cheaper & proper Viet coffee in International District. Everything tastes like a milkshake. If you want a thick fancy shake with overpriced toppings go for it. Servers are not always friendly. Pastries look tired and stale. I'm sure they are good I haven't eaten one from the looks of it. Bad parking - you have to pay some random person to park now for what used to be a nice community pedestrian area with free parking. If you're local and can walk down, no problem. If you're driving, look for street parking behind the shop. Overall I bring tourists and out of town folks for a milkshake experience. If I'm pressed for time I go for a drink here and then curse myself every time for doing so. I never get caffeinated no matter what I order and it's always $10 gone. The shop's decor was typical modern, simple, with plants, lots of light and a variety of seating options. The coffees were OK. The black sesame foam didn't taste strongly enough of sesame to me (Less and More in PDX has spoiled me) and the coffee tasted watered down. Perhaps I need to ask for very minimal ice next time. We want to try another location in case this was an off day, but we're not in a rush to do so since we have more preferable spots as our go-to. read more

I've been to the other locations but with this being their first store it feels nostalgic coming back to this one. It's nice that you can order ahead and pick up which saves me time in the morning. I stopped in here to grab a coffee as I had been to the Columbia City location before and enjoyed their coffee. I believe I ordered the coffeeholic coffee substituted with ube cream, iced in the medium size cup. At first I wasn't too big a fan of the taste, but once I mixed the ube cream in it tasted much better. I was a little surprised by the price though, after tax it was over $8. Parking is adequate, at least when I was there on a Sunday morning. Took off 2 stars due to the price you get for a medium coffee...and less so with it being iced. read more

First time drinking a matcha that's thick, the mango puree was probably what made it thick. For some reason when I drank it it didn't feel that cold, even though there was ice, also probably because of the puree? The mango flavor was evident but I couldn't really taste the matcha. Decided to do some work at a coffee shop today and so happy I came to coffeeholic. The service was really friendly and super quick! I got the tiramisu latte but wasn't able to try the blueberry danish as it was sold out. The latte was delicious and came with a ladyfinger on top which was a nice touch. Cute and yummy! There's a little side street with parking next to it if you don't want to park on the main road. The barista was really polite when we went -- and the interior was peaceful and not too crowded for a Saturday morning. Perfect for getting some reading done or having a chat with a friend. During my most recent visit I had an iced matcha latte with oat milk..one of my fav drinks to get bc sooo yummy. Bear claw pastry sadly wasn't my jam. It was good but just a little too sweet and hard for me. However the music playing, totally my jam! Lana and Kali Uchis playing while I finish my book and enjoy my matcha now that's the vibe :) I overheard a woman at the register asking to use her personal cup and they allowed it, so next time I'll bring my own cup! I've been to Coffeeholic twice now and both times, the drinks have been delicious! They run a bit sweet for my taste, so it's worth adjusting sweetness if you prefer less sweet options. They also have some great pastry options - my favorite is the spinach and feta roll or the ham and cheese roll. Drinks run anywhere from $6-8, which is pretty standard these days. They have a good amount of searing inside and it's a great place to do work. read more

It's a weird set up at this location. You walk through the front door and the cashier to place your order is on the opposite end of the counter. No one greeted us nor directed us where to go. The 3 behind the counter just kept talking to one another and watched us stand there at the wrong end awaiting service until I realized the P.O.S system was at the opposite end. I directed my friends to the P.O.S. System and we placed our order. A line began to form behind us and they were waiting at the opposite end as we did. Finally someone directed them to where we were standing to place an order. One of my biggest pet peeves is not greeting your customers upon arrival. Especially if it's not busy. That's how I gauge if my experience will be good or not. Sounds silly, but that one simple action almost always means a stellar dining/customer service experience. I would probably not visit this location again because of the interaction or lack thereof. Fortunately it's coffee, so we just waited for our orders. I got The Dark Night Latte (Espresso, milk, condensed milk, black sesame seed. *Foam contains dairy, cannot be made non-dairy*) It was good. Glad I tried it, but after trying my better half's Vietnamese Latte I was missing my usual traditional authentic Vietnamese Coffee. Love the variety of the menu and that they are Seattle's first Vietnamese coffee shop, established in March 2020. I would definitely like to try other items on the menu upon my next SEA visit. Such a cute cafe. Love the chic vibes. And it's clean. Parking is better than the main location but still don't have its own designated lot. They serve Asian flavored coffees/lattes, like Vietnamese Coffee or Ube Latte. On this trip, we tried the popular, "Purple Haze" (ube latte topped with ube foam & ube drizzle). Make sure you mix it well or else the coffee will sit in one area instead of blending with the ube flavor. We also tried their Ube Monster (ube smoothie with Oreo topping). Both drinks are sooo good, it actually tastes like Ube! I've had the Vietnamese coffee here before, and it's also really good. The coffee is good but hilariously overpriced. The inside looks cool and seems to function well. The cold drinks come in these very sturdy plastic cups which appear to be reusable or at least recyclable, but there is a sign by the garbage can that indicates they should be trashed. I come here way too often. I was first introduced to the wonders of Vietnamese coffee when I visited Coffeeholic House over 2 years ago. Ever since that first visit, I've been getting drinks from Coffeeholic nonstop, ranging from the Purple Haze, Dark Night Latte, Ube Latte, and many more! My current favorite is Tropical Vine with Ube Drizzle, though I did just try out their new Ube Egg Cream, and I enjoyed it! On top of the amazing drinks, the vibe of the cafe is also something to behold. The workers there are nice and don't shy away from having a conversation with you. I've also met the owner of Coffeeholic multiple times and I can see his passion and dedication to making his customers' experience better. Compared to the menu photo, there was no ube on top and just some floating on the sides, and tastes completely of matcha.
