A far as local coffee shops that allow you to have solid coffee, a fairly not-noisy atmosphere, cookies/baked things, and space to study/work/people watch, this has all the workings of a great local spot. Honestly, there isn't much that you expect from a place like this from the outside, it doesn't look like much... but when you walk inside, it's like you walked into a portal, because you have high ceilings, nice exposed wood, and the sounds of the coffee grinder, and steamer... make for the ambiance that you literally want in a coffee shop. Service... well, the place is called Diva, so expect a little sass, and that's okay. Generally speaking, its good service, and they are friendly. Love this coffee place! We stop in- probably- 1x/month. I usually order a coffee with a splash of cream and some orange peel. The kids love getting a hot chocolate or a peppermint hot chocolate. The baristas are always friendly- and ask them if they want whipped cream & sprinkles! They have a good selection of pastries- the kids usually opt to split a donut. Plus, there are some sandwiches, juices, etc. plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be a bit tight. read more

I had to work out if my house last week and this place was so cozy. I got a decaf blended vanilla drink and the barista was very friendly and helpful with my questions about what drink to get. Not much parking though. Just some side street parking and a few spots at the front but you need to turn out to the busy Greenwood ave. Will def come back! read more

This place sucks. I ordered cappuccino 16 ounce to be specific. I got maybe 8 ounce of cappuccino and the rest was foam absolutely ridiculous not worth the money. I thought I was doing a good thing by going to the local coffee shop instead of a big chain store, but I guess this proves because at least you get your money worth there. read more

Glad that all the Diva Espresso locations are doing well during the pandemic times. This Broadview location just opened before the initial pandemic shutdown in the former Bick's Broadview Grill location. I like the transformation, bright and spacious, and currently with festive decor for the holiday season. Folks are welcomed onsite as long as one had proof of C19 vaccination or negative C19 test within 72 hours. Remaining masked, unless eating or drinking. Yes, Seattle/King County you know the drill. Personable baristas, great coffee, other cafe beverages, pastries, and other usual cafe fare are available. I'm just going to hangout for a bit at the window counter, among the plants, facing towards Greenwood. Nice Christmas cactus in bloom too. read more

Hands down my favorite coffee shop to work from!! I am here at least once a week for a change of scenery while working. Nearly every table has access to an outlet for charging. I never feel out of place working here, because many patrons do so. There's plenty of seating and it's super cozy, since the building seems to be an old house. Service is great - everyone is super friendly. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious because they heat them in a panini press. Drinks are always on point but can be a bit pricey ($8 ish for a dirty chai latte). They do have their own app to scan for rewards, so you can occasionally get free drinks. 10/10 for this diva location!! I've been to three other locations (145th, 80th, and harborview) and none of them have quite the same cozy atmosphere. read more

First time visiting this location, it's very spacious inside! Got a 12oz caramel latte and a sausage breakfast sandwich. The crew there is helpful and friendly, the coffee is a bit more roasty than sweet/smooth but wow is it beautiful! I was just rushing through/ taking to go and they were able to put a full leaf design on the top! They have a lot of seasonal/specialty drink options I'd probably try one of those next time. The breakfast sandwich was super good and toasted to perfection. Most the seating indoors was taken but they also have a back patio. Pulling off and parking immediately in front of the store can be difficult to pull back out into the busy street- I'd recommend parking on the side of the cafe instead of right in front read more

This place was fairly busy coming in, the staff are friendly, fast, and efficient...take note to the mgr @HMC. This place is clean and inviting. Mediocre coffee. My partner and I have been grabbing coffee here because we can conveniently walk to it. I've been excited to try their specialty seasonal drinks that are featured on the chalk board. However, they have been lackluster and not very flavorful the past few times. My roommate even grabbed a specialty flavored latte for the first time and described it as bland. My partner usually adds flavor to her latte, and has to get extra pumps just to taste the added flavor. Today, I ordered the Generra mocha, which in the past tasted like a delicious chocolate covered orange. Today, I could barely taste the orange flavor. I went back and asked if more flavoring could be added to it. He said the orange wasn't a syrup, but orange zest, so he would need to remake it. Once it was made, he actually asked for the other cup back!! I wasn't expecting an entirely new drink, so the fact that he had the audacity to ask for the cup back just to throw it in the garbage is pretty insulting and wasteful. The remade drink didn't taste much different from the original. We're regular customers, and I finally decided to speak up after getting several "meh" tasting coffees. We'll be taking our business elsewhere to get more flavorful latte's with friendlier baristas. read more

My favorite local coffee chain in Seattle. This location specifically (although biased) is the best one. Iced latte with lavender and vanilla is a great go-to drink, however their seasonal drinks are always creative and tasty. They make awesome tea lattes as well if you aren't in the mood for coffee. The space here is huge with plenty of seating inside and outside on their adorable patio, although get there early some days as it can fill up quickly with people taking their laptops in to do work at. Staff are always friendly and sweet, and even put up their favorite drinks if you have trouble deciding what to order. Pastries aren't anything crazy special compared to other coffee shops HOWEVER, get the sausage breakfast sandwich and they panini it for you so it's crispy and the cheese is super melty. Don't forget the Cholula hot sauce they have to top it off. Seriously such a great spot to get a coffee and the rewards through the app actually pay off quite nicely. Doesn't feel like a chain at all, feels like a mom and pop coffee shop. I recommend this to anyone who will listen to me yap about coffee shops in Seattle. read more

I really like this Diva Espresso location. The interior is beautiful and there is a lot of space to sit down indoors or outside on the deck. Definitely somewhere you could bring your laptop to work. Drinks are solid and baristas are always super friendly! Only downside to this spot is the parking. There are very few spots and they're pretty difficult to get in and out of because it is a small lot right on a busy road. I recommend street parking. read more

I will not come back here. It seems like people really like this place, but when I came I waited in line for 15-20 minutes, which was just to long to wait. When we got our drinks, the Mocha didn't really taste like chocolate, and my wild berry smoothie just tasted like ice. read more

This location is doing a terrific job in the time of Covid-19. Their safety measures are top notch, both for customers and their staff. I very much appreciate that they have a large covered back deck so that I may meet friends while its raining in Seattle. There aren't many places to do this. It's a fine coffee shop and my unhappiness with this new iteration of the Diva brand will no doubt be in the minority. My complaints are two: 1) No pour overs. I was so looking forward to the opening of this latest in the growing family of Diva coffee shops, thinking that maybe this new one would be different. I started going to Diva in the late 90s back when I was still drinking lattes. And they were great for that. But by the turn of the millennium I had switched to pour overs (to avoid all the unhealthy milk) and Diva just doesn't do them. I understand they take more time (and they cost significantly more) but more and more premium coffee shops are offering them because, well, it's about the coffee! 2) No stuffed chairs. Adding just a couple of comfortable stuffed chairs, maybe in some corner, would add such warmth to what feels like a little overly cool atmosphere, that I think it would offset the larger footprint that such chairs would admittedly require. And in terms of turn over, a four--top table taken up by one computer jockey using free wi-fi for 3 hours is arguably less efficient than a couple of stuffed chairs. If you're after a good latte and a place to meet a business contract, this will be fine. But for someone like me (who lives one block away and who likes coffee better than milk) it will remain a missed opportunity. read more
