Found this little gem on the way back home. Their menu is spiced with life, with all the wonderful flavor mixes and options. I ordered the blended lavender fields- as I am a lavender fan. It also has white mocha in this drink which is another favorite flavor of mines. It was blended smoothly and you were able to taste both of the flavors! Not too sweet and just right for my liking.

    Gotta try these viral drinks!

I saw this coffee shop go viral on tiktok. Thankfully, they have several locations in North seattle. I made the 45 minute track to get to these amazing looking beverages. Surprisingly, there was no line. And I went right before halloween! The baristas we're very courteous, patient, and I did not feel rushed throughout the whole experience. Unfortunately, they were sold out of most food items except cookies so that was a bummer. I ordered a Dracula's Bride latte, which was a coffee based drink with white coffee. I also ordered the Graveyard for my kiddo which is essentially a giant dirt cup. Even though I had to drive the drinks 45 minutes back down, the integrity of the coffee art stayed for the most part. Taste-wise it was yummy. The white coffee just tastes better in lighter drinks in my opinion. They added a really fun touch with a syringe that was filled with extra syrup. Although I won't be back regularly, it is definitely worth it to make the drive for special holidays!

First time thru this morning and I can't believe I haven't stopped by earlier. This drive thru coffee spot is tucked away on 99 and is such a gem. Their drinks are quirky but delicious and customer service is unreal. The girls working today were unbelievably friendly and gave great recommendations. They were busy so make sure to give yourself time- this isn't a quick Starbucks run. They're making creations in there. Also their breakfast bagel sandwiches are great!

We love Grounds! They're quite expensive so they're definitely not an everyday haunt, but their drinks are so fun and they're a great treat every once in a while. Baristas are so kind and always go above and beyond.

Super cute experience with really good coffee. I'd give the drink itself 4 stars, but aesthetics and service 5 stars. They have a ton of yummy flavor options, but their seasonal ghost option is what I really loved. I would definitely come again and I hope they do different things for each season!

Updated November drink menu Fun drinks, very nice staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That's not light ice

Everything is great from here. The drinks are so fun and so good but my low stars are for how much ice they put in their drinks even when I said for light ice and they say ok. If they can't do light ice I'd rather them tell me they can't. I ask for light ice every single time and this is how the cup is filled every single time. I pay 13 dollars for this drink and I'd like more drink than ice. It's frustrating that I ask each time and every employee will say ok! But this is how my drink comes every time. Feels like a waste of money

Grand opening in North Seattle, near Shoreline border back on 5/15/23.

Note: Opened 5/15/23 @ former drive through site that used to be Black Rock, Turtle Coffee, and Red Rock. Welcome Grounds Coffee Co. to North Seattle. The drive through is located at 143rd & Aurora/Hwy 99 next door to Kidd Valley, close to the Seattle - Shoreline border. This indie chain has other established sites located in Woodinville, Mukilteo, Snohomish, and Kenmore. I stopped by during their Grand Opening on 5/15/23. Very nice and upbeat barista that morning. Tasty, perfectly crafted iced mocha! Started a punch card too. Second visit was after a stop at the nearby Bitter Lake Post Office on 5/31/23. Thankful to see two baristas onsite, including the previous upbeat one. Again, good to report consistently crafted iced mochas. I got my usual 16oz and a 32oz (6 shots!) one for The Homie. Their beverage and light bites menu is vast. So many choices and reasonably priced. Definitely recommended!

    Fall menu is here!

Got the oatmeal creme pie and it was so good. Can't wait to try all the other drinks!

Love this place. They go the extra mile with their food in their drinks. The baristas always brighten my day if I stop in morning or afternoon.

They have nailed the Halloween themed drinks. I love their each and every drink I have ever had. Their service is too good for a drive through coffee shop. Their menu is unique and taste is amazing. They also serve the best golden pumpkin latte which is too good. And you can request them to history for cute ghosts on your drink

I'm so excited that there is a coffee stand that offers speciality coffee drinks and energy drinks (redbull & Lotus!) in Seattle.

I tried the gluten-free trailblazer cookie, and it was absolutely delicious. Loved all the additions to it to make it a more robust cookie. I also had the lavender latte which was tasty and not too strong a lavender taste.

First time here and ordered a green Thai tea with a grilled pork banh mi. Both very delicious. Love…read morethe bread on the sandwich as it was not too thick but good enough to hold the sandwich together. Great flavors. Will come back again.

Food and drinks are great however service, atmosphere, and consistency are lacking…read more My most recent visit was Saturday 06/06/26. I hadn't been back since a previous bad experience almost a year ago now and wanted to give this place another try. Same bad service. The bad service I received almost a year ago that made me stop coming to this place was I stopped by for lunch and got a grilled pork banh mi and asked for little to no/ very light mayo or whatever spread is on it as the visit before was too much for me and wanted to avoid that... Staff wasn't friendly that day. When I was eating the sandwich instead of little to no mayo it had globs like no exaggeration a lot/too much mayo spread for me so I did tear off a piece of the bread that I couldn't get the mayo off of and tried to take off the other globs and continued eating. I did not waste food. I just wasted the globs and a small piece of bread. I bussed my own table as that seems to be un clear if you do or don't and put the trash in the trash(globs of mayo +piece of bread) and plate near the counter. A staff member exited the kitchen and walks towards the register near the trash can and she proceeded to open the trash can and keep it open, looked at me and asked how was everything. I was honest and told her I always enjoy the food however today too much mayo and she just kept peering down at my trash in the trash and then her coworker exited the kitchen to join the convo and no sorry or anything...just kept her foot on the trash to keep it open and both employees looked at the trash and looked at me rudely so I told them thank you have a nice day and was off put by the experience. They were treating me like I was wasting or complaining. It was truly so weird like why keep the trash open and almost like try to embarrass me or treat me like I did something wrong? Also why no smiles, why no empathy. I don't like mayo..big deal! I still ate that whole sandwich! Recent visit on 06/06/26. Walked in and cafe wasn't busy, but trash on the floors and dirty tables. Two women. One seemed to be in training. No smiles, no welcome in, just a frown (no joke the woman training the other I believe was frowning and she looked mad) and a what can I get you? I ordered for dine in but was given to go box and to go utensils. I have to assume they just didn't want to do the dishes as one couple had dine in plates and were actually pointing to each other the trash on the floor and discussing their meal. I ordered the pho banh mi so I wouldn't have to worry about a mayo situation tbh. Food was flavorful and good. Portions seem to be a bit smaller than what I remember. If they added actual pho to the menu I bet it would be a hit! To-go ordering seems the popular thing here and if I return is what I'll do. Just sad as this used to be my fav spot but now I've found a better place with better service and food. Drinks here and food is super tasty but wish service, cleanliness, and atmosphere could be improved! Service is important and with my past two visits I feel it's a very unwelcoming atmosphere with the staff being hostile and cold and cafe seating indoors and outdoors are dirty. For me when spending my money somewhere I don't want to be treated poorly or like I'm an inconvenience or just being tolerated. The service leaves such a bad impression that it makes me avoid this place now when I used to recommend it.
