Awesome açaí smoothie. Loved the ice to fruit ratio. About 1 block north of Green Lake. I'll be back.

This is my favorite Acai place. Ever…read more The Acai is consistently delicious, perfect texture (sorbet-like), perfect consistency (frozen but easily scoopable with your spoon) and the fruit on top is always fresh. I've been to Acai places in LA, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, airports, other places and I can never find Acai as consistently good as this. Either the fruit is thawed frozen fruit, the Acai is soupy, or for some other reason, those other places just aren't as good. Beyond the Acai, I'm a big fan of the beef pockets, the ham and cheese pockets, the chicken cones, and the Nutella-filled cheese bread. A vegetarian colleague likes to come here for breakfast when he's in town for the egg, spinach, and cheese-filled cheese bread. If you're looking for a great Acai spot, I can't recommend Kitanda enough.

BUT kitanda's bowls are simple, available at multiple locations, and most importantly, they're pretty gas. I typically get their energy blast bowl but went with the Lena today bc your boy is cutting. Trust me fam, don't look at the macro's if you're wanting a "healthy" meal or whatever bc these bad boys are loaded with calories (and not the good kinds hahahaha). You just gotta accept the cold hard truth, the majority of acai bowls aren't healthy, but we gotta keep telling ourselves they are bc they're so FN good lmaooo aight catch yall later

And the award for trendiest little coffee shop in Seattle goes to... The Pacha Collective!…read more It wouldn't have won if it was simply Pacha, but being a Collective gives you major props in the Seattle cafe scene. In all seriousness, North Seattle has been lacking in the "cool cafe" department. You know, the one you go into and you feel like it's a place that you'd actually want to hang out. Not just grab a coffee and split. One that will put you in a position where you can't decide if it's time for a coffee or a beer. That's Pacha. The vibes are immaculate here, and every time I come there seems to be more and more energy. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and they had a huge projector playing a World Cup match. The local matcha drinkers were going wild as Egypt cruised along to a victory. My Americano was fantastic, which is table stakes for a Seattle cafe. But the folks taking the order and making the drinks were full of energy and cracking jokes, love to see people enjoying their work. The breakfast burrito was surprisingly good for a cafe, and came with a beautiful aioli. You could tell that they take their burrito-craft very seriously. A thoroughly grilled, well-tucked burrito was an excellent complement to my coffee.

A great spot near Green Lake to get some work done. I haven't had the chance to try the food yet,…read morebut everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I've only tried the tea so far, and I appreciated that it was served in a steeping pot, which kept it fresh and flavorful throughout my visit. The space has a really nice atmosphere and several tables are designated as device-free zones. I think it's a thoughtful touch that encourages conversation and being present, though it can make finding a workspace a little trickier if you're planning to study or work. Thankfully, I was still able to find a suitable spot without too much trouble. The vibes are great, the employees are friendly, and it's the kind of place that's easy to settle into for a while. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the food next time.
