Coming from California I thought I had seen some large Vitamin Shoppe store's but this one is huge!! No joke, I really didn't expect it especially considering the location. Staying at the hotel across the street I came here to add to my Peanut Butter collection and pick up a couple of Protein bars as they were having a buy one get one 50% sale on the entire store which has a large inventory. The store is well laid out staff were very welcoming. Browsing the store I noticed they had a free sample display of hemp hearts.. you don't see these samples to help yourself in my local store's which was nice and as I like the product on my Greek Yogurt picked one up to take back the hotel along with my 2 Nut Butters and handful of Protein bars. My daughter wanted to come here to get biotin to help her hair grow. We were assisted and he also checked us out. However I did get overcharged for an item I only had one of and when i got home I noticed that he charged me for two of them. I was charged at the top of the receipt and also as the last item. Not sure how that happened. Anyway I did call upon noticing and spoke to that person who said I could come in the next day and he would fix it for me. I live several miles away, not close but I did make it to get him to refund me almost $15 overcharge. He did apologize. However I usually am trusting and don't look at receipts if I had not paid attention I would have been out this $15! Important I guess to double check receipts. Store was in good order, properly stocked, store clerks friendly and check out was quick but not accurate. Parking here is tight. Starbucks next door usually makes this lot busy. read more

The sign says "Super Supplements," but I guess they're essentially the same thing...(?) This store is a bit bigger than the one by my apartment and they have several items I'm not used to seeing at the store I normally frequent--dog food and snacks, lots of beauty products, you name it. I expected to walk in and see the typical gym bro stuff I was looking for (went in to re-up on PWO), but I ended up passing by aisles of other interesting stuff before getting to the workout supplements on the far side. If I wasn't in a rush, I probably would have stuck around to look at what else this store had. Maybe pick up some dog treats for my dude at home. But I just hunted down what I wanted, took it to the counter, and dipped to the gym. The only reason I'm giving this place 4/5 is because 1) their sign is confusing, 2) the good stuff is in the back, and 3) the staff at my local VS is awesome, always asks if I need help, and fun to talk to--the staff here (it was just one person) didn't seem to happy to be there. It was also just 10 minutes after opening, so it's pretty understandable. Good selection and prices is why I go to Vitamin Shoppe (slash Super Supplements...still a bit confused by that). I only shop for the supplements I need online (Amazon or Bodybuilding.com) or at Vitamin Shoppe. Their prices are about even, so I hit up Vitamin Shoppe when I don't wanna wait for shipping. If you haven't figured it out yet--don't go to GNC. They charge way too much on everything. read more

They don't always have what I'm looking for, but they usually do. Staff is very helpful, as it's sometimes hard to find what you're looking for in the store. I wish they had a different location. Parking is a challenge in that little corner. But, other than that, it's a good place to shop for supplements. read more

I've only been in twice, but the staff members have been enormously helpful each time. I asked once for lactation supplements and she walked me to the section, discussed the different options, then printed some info from the La Leche League website. She must've spent ten minutes with me, didn't make me feel rushed or like I was bothering her. My second visit, I asked in passing if they had zinc oxide and two staff members went through every bottle of zinc they had looking for "oxide". When we couldn't find it, they recommended a competitor nearby. Possibly the best customer service I've ever seen! Price wise: I buy primarily essential oils there, but only when I need something immediately. Their prices aren't competative with what you can buy online, but I've only found one other physical store with essential oils/carrier oils (argan. jojoba, etc.) and Super Supplements' prices were WAY better. read more

Meh. This location is clean and has a similar size and selection to other locations, which is all it has going for it. I hate coming here because of the aggressive panhandlers in the parking lot. It happens 9 times out of ten. Really, bro? How many times on how many different days are you gonna tell me that you're out of gas and need spare change? And then blatantly roll your eyes at me when I tell you I don't carry cash? So infuriating. I have also found the employees here to be less than helpful. You can usually get help if you ask right when you first walk in, especially if it is one of the older employees working. I was shopping for whey the other day, which is right next to the checkout counter, and I just could not get someone to help me. There were 4 younger employees working that day, and they were all standing at the cash registers 5 feet away engrossed in conversation. I kept waiting for a break in the conversation to ask for help, since I had never purchased whey before and there are approximately 60 different kinds to choose from, but there never was one. Finally, after staring at them for about 5 minutes from only a few feet away, someone extricated themselves from their engrossing conversation long enough to answer one question and then quickly rejoined the conversation. Unfortunately I had several more questions. So I began the process of stare-and-wait again until someone peeled off to answer one question only before rejoining their fascinating conversation again. This process was repeated several more times. I am irritated that someone couldn't just walk over (instead of calling answers over to me without leaving their comrades) and help me until I selected a product, which I eventually did, and spent $55 on. I will keep coming here, but only because there is nothing else comparable in the vicinity. The employees need a more customer service-minded mentality, and they need to hire a security guard to prevent able-bodied 20 year olds from aggressively and consistently harassing customers for money. read more

Manager is a super overweight lady with brown hair and glasses, I came in because I was sold gel aloe as a drinking supplement not the liquid aloe I wanted and just wanted a simple exchange , never have had a bad experience with any other person that works there they have always been awesome. She YELLS at me and said "WHY IT IS LIQUID" I'm like no it isn't how am I suppose to drink gel? She YELLS AGAIN "ITS A LIQUID!!!" I was super embarrassed, I've been a loyal customer at the federal way location for years so I couldn't believe that this fat ugly disgrace of a human being was talking to me like this. I went in again today and she was quiet and icy while she made the young (and very nice) man help me. People like this are awful and don't deserve to be in management positions. I hope she doesn't last long there they can definitely hire some one better because the federal way location is actually a respectable store. read more

A great place to get organic beauty supplies/lotion/etc. as well as "supplements". An alternative if you're in this part of FW and don' want to drive to Marlene's. Ryan, the manager is super nice and the other staff is friendly and knowledgeable in terms of items they have used or what other customers have relayed. Otherwise, arrive knowing what you want in terms of product knowledge/comparisons. Clean, well stocked, and I enjoy my time pleasantly perusing the store and it's offerings. read more

Amazing selection, one of the larger locations. Cashier who helped us was amazingly witty! Helped us pick out yummy quest bars I almost missed! Can't wait to come back, she really made our morning! in spite of the not so great experiences at the puyallup and lakewood locations in the past yesterday (sunday july 26th just after opening) needing a product that vitamin shoppe doesn't carry and not wanting to order via mail in hot temps made myself bite the bullet and give them my $. let me tell u the 2 gals working were so nice and helpful! when asked to give the online price they were happy to do so without making a big deal out of it like in the past at that very same store....so a one product purchase turned into a 4 product purchase( and gave me the online price for all of them) and left very happy with my experience read more
