    Tinctures color coded
    Sarah S.

I came in today to restock one of my go to tinctures. I have never been to their brick and mortar until today and I love it! I've been to their website in the past which is good, but now that I have seen inside of their physical location I am never going back! They have been in their spot for 38 years (says on the inside of the door). I was helped by a very nice lady who not only recommended a tincture I'm eager to try, but gave good, in depth explanations of the tinctures I was looking for. Specifically I was there for tinctures related to my menstrual cycle. I like their PMS tincture-it has helped make a difference (especially reducing cramps). There were so many tinctures for so many other things! Their organization was outstanding. Without help I found my product in seconds, but appreciated the explanation (which I asked for). The art that they feature on their bottles is both functional (color coded) and beautiful. I enjoyed looking around, and had some of their tea samples to sip and wander around with. I picked up a mushroom tincture as a bonus. They have a wall of teas in addition to their tinctures, and gifts-both of their wares and the art of locals. I can't come back soon enough!

Amazing selections... a little pricey but authentic kind. Staff are knowledgeable and nice.

Excellent selection, competitive value, especially relative to other brick-and-mortars.

I've been coming here for a few years now and then I left the city but whenever I do come back, I make sure to make a pit stop here. Why? Work is right next door to it. So that helps. But also, I feel like the veggies and fruits here are fresh, crisp, and tastier than other places. However... I do feel like prices are a bit higher than last time I was here a couple of months ago. They have parking in the back. It's small and getting in and out alive is a miracle each time. But it exist. If you elect to park on the street, parking enforcement is out everywhere and so be weary. I like their hot bar and salad bar. Always a rotation of items that keeps it busy interesting over time. What I don't think they are good for is snacks. Sometimes I just want something simple and not healthy and this place ain't it. I think this place is better for medium size shops.

The water dispenser for water bottles had the highest pressure that I've seen one had, which was cool. Chocolate chip cookies have the classic homemade taste to them. Very cool find and will be back!

I live just across the street, and my girlfriend volunteered to go pick up some groceries from this PCC, since I was in poor health. She got a lot of unwelcome stares from the largely Caucasian store associates and customers. Meanwhile, at the same time, a white guy brought his dog into the store, despite the plainly visible "no pets" sign, and no one reacted at all. As progressive and inclusive as Seattle pretends to be, many people from minority backgrounds - both lifelong residents and newer arrivals - can recount numerous experiences of less-overt (but still very real) forms of bigotry here. Seems my girlfriend's experience at the Green Lake PCC can be added to the long, long list of similar episodes of prejudice.
