They had a good drink menu, but the vibes just felt a little off with it not being very busy and the ambiance wasn't enough to make up for that. I'm not sure if I went on an off day or if it's always like this. The real nail in the coffin for me was the music they were playing. They have a jukebox system so that bar goers could select songs to play. It was one awful song playing after another, which further brought down the vibe of the place. I'm not in any rush to return.

A friend sent me a flyer that a local DJ was having an all vinyl set here with funk, jazz, hip-hop and soul - some of my favorite genres and hard to find, especially in vinyl in Denver, where electronic dance music is a bigger culture I had the best time, the music was great. I even introduced myself to the DJ as someone who moved here recently and began following his Instagram so that I can come to other nights like this. The cocktails were delicious and very unique, I can guarantee you've never seen a sour cream and onion martini on a menu before. I don't have big enough balls for that yet so I opted for a guava sour and was so delighted at what I got. They use a Pea foam instead of egg whites and I could not tell the difference. The guava flavor was so strong and present, perfectly balanced for the drink. I also tried the infante -- or at least a version of it, I asked if there was any way to make it the same as the sour with the foam, and our server told us the bartender would whip me up a unique concoction that was similar to that. It was such an original drink. Everything was so yummy. The place is in a perfect little corner spot tucked away in Sunnyside, residential, but feels fun. Definitely can't wait to come back.

Lincolns absolutely delivers on the speakeasy vibe - from trying to find the door, to figuring out how to actually get inside (LOL), to settling in with drinks once you're finally through. It makes the whole experience feel interactive and memorable. **Tip: it actually isn't too hard to find. I won't completely spoil it for people who want the fun of the hunt, but I'll leave a few hints at the bottom. The drink special that night - their version of an Old Fashioned - was excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The other cocktails are liquor + mixer with the soda or bar gun. We tried a local gin (can't remember the name) & soda and a Four Roses Bourbon & Pepsi. There was a odd flavor that came with that round and tasted watered down. Stick with the special. So good! I'd go back all day for the special alone. The staff was a little bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the experience. Everyone was nice, but they didn't seem especially engaged, and the attire didn't really match the speakeasy atmosphere. That said, the space itself is large and immersive enough that once we had our drinks, we just leaned into the whole experience and had a great time. HINTS: 1. Go to the address listed... duh. 2. Something is COOKING through the glass. 3. Find the stairs down. 4. If you hear music and see some impressive doors, figure out how to LIFT the handle to get inside.

I remember when Bookbar occupied this space many moons ago. I used to like that place a lot. Well, I'm also beginning to like the new life My Boy Tony has brought here. It caters to a younger crowd, whether you're bar hopping on Tennyson with a group or looking for a spot to take a hot date. For better and worse, it's a neighborhood bar at its core. The most shocking thing is how they transformed the space from the previous tenants. It has a beautiful open layout with nice furniture and design. The bartenders are generally friendly and prices are in line with similar cocktail bars in Denver. The few times I've been here I've been in a cocktail mood. Negronis and Old Fashioneds are made well and are slow sippers I enjoy. They do have a nice selection of wines that I'll have to try when it tickles my fancy. The only hiccups here for me are some really long wait times for drinks. They usually have two bartenders and sometimes it gets really backed up. No one is running the floor when I've been there bussing and wiping down tables. Though I understand with a location here it can go from being empty to completely slammed in a matter of minutes! If you're looking for a cool, comfortable bar without the pretentiousness or judgment, check out My Boy Tony.

It's a great little rooftop deck/bar. - The indoor lounge space is cozy and inviting. - The two cocktails I had there were well balanced and delicious. Not overpriced, considering location and vibe. Cons: - The very first bartender we went to (shorter, older guy with a beard) was pretty rude. I understand they were extremely busy and this was probably one of their first services, but at one point while he was making drinks I asked him a question about one of the cocktails and he barked at me to please stop talking to him because he was trying to remember the ingredients and he would be with me in a minute. We were approached by the only other person at the pool and were harshly told what we can and cannot be doing. This person was a resident and told us that we couldn't even touch a lounge chair. It was very rude and unnecessary considering the 30 empty chairs all around. This person then contacted the waitress and manager and made a huge deal of it. We were eventually asked to get out of the pool. This seemed like a huge miscommunication handled very terribly. This was not a great look for the building as it is still leasing unit out.
