I was recently at Moncha Cafe because of the 2026-2027 MySGV Boba Passport Official Edition to redeem for 1 Free Seasonal Drink + 1 Free Assam Milk Tea with 1 Topping. What a cool way to support the SGV community and its local businesses! Moncha Cafe is 1 out of the 14 participating boba shops in the MySGV Boba Passport. It was the 2nd boba shop visited to get my 2nd stamp. Fantastic! I have been here once before. This was my second visit. Cool and comfortable inside space. Ethan was the nice young man who took our drink order. He was super cool and friendly. Thanks Ethan for the amazing service and wonderful conversation my Mom and I had with you. I appreciate the free sample of the Ube Fresh Milk. It was very smooth and milky. Definitely a winner! Will get it next time. Got a total of 4 drinks. Two were free from boba passport... Watermelon Limeade and Assam Black Milk Tea with Osmanthus Jelly. Thanks Moncha Cafe! Two were purchased... Citrus Emerald Oolong and Midnight Jasmine Milk Tea with Sakura Boba. All drinks were refreshingly good. Tea flavors came through nicely. Love the sweet and bouncy jelly and boba! Will indeed be back to try their snacks and other specialty drinks!

I've tried a few drinks at Moncha Cafe. I liked the drinks and had a good experience here. DRINKS I tried the Assam Milk Tea and the Ube Milk Tea. Both tasted great. I asked to adjust the sweetness to a lower level and I thought it was perfect. My drinks came in rectangular shaped cups that don't fit in car cup holders. If you think cup shape will be an issue, make sure to ask them if they can give you "normal" cups INSIDE It's spacious and relaxed in there. I don't really do work at cafes but I think this might be a good spot if you like to use cafes as a workspace. SERVICE Good service. Drinks made to order but it's a reasonable wait time. PARKING there's a small shared parking lot (free). Street parking (free)

Moncha Cafe serves quality drinks at what seems like all times of the day. My husband and I stopped by on a late Saturday night (closer to 10pm). The Boba SGV Passport offers 1 Free Seasonal drink + 1 free Assam Milk Tea w/ 1 Topping. What a great deal! I ordered their seasonal Lavender Milk Tea with oat milk at 50% sweetness. I also ordered the Assam Milk Tea w/ Osmanthus Jelly with oat milk, less ice, and at 50% sweetness. The Lavender Milk Tea was floral and creamy. You can definitely taste the lavender. I decided to save that one for later. The Assam Milk tea was what I needed. The Osmanthus Jelly paired very well with the drink. It was refreshing and delicious. It's one that I would re-order on the next visit. My husband ordered their seasonal Sakura Milk Tea with regular ice, 75% sweetness and Non-dairy creamer. He could not stop talking about how good that one was. The staff recommended this one. Thank you for that! We also ordered fries and popcorn chicken. The seasoning on the fries were light. The popcorn chicken was really good. The staff was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. He made great recommendations which helped us narrow down what we wanted. Overall, I would come back to try the other drinks. Thank you, Moncha Cafe, for the delicious options!

Moncha Cafe x SGV Boba Passport. Another boba spot redeem some drinks. The offers were for 1 free seasonal drink + 1 free assam milk tea. The location has limited parking, but we were lucky to snag a spot. We came late on a Saturday and it was almost full. Many people were there studying. The location has many tables for seating and wifi is free. The staff working was knowledgeable of their menu and gave us recommendations during our redemptions from the passport. We also ordered some food items to pair with all the drinks. The drinks came out periodically as it was very packed inside. We enjoyed the assam milk tea and they allowed us to sub oat milk. For the seasonal drinks we got the Lavender & Sakura Milk Teas. The drinks were made well and had the right sweetness we requested. The food items were fine. I'd recommend the popcorn chicken if you're a fan. The fries were ok. Overall, I'd recommend coming by as the drink pricing appears affordable and the staff were very helpful. Thanks, Moncha Cafe! Repeat after me, Moncha, Moncha, Moncha!!! I just want to give the owner a Shout-out for their service, menu, decor and overall welcoming café. On July 29th, I altered my route so I could come by to support this business. They are an asset to the community, offering a place to work, study, or leisure time to meet up with friends. I ordered a Strawberry Matcha Iced Latte ($7.50), Tempura Shrimp (6 piece $6) and Seasoned Fries ($5). My food was made to order, fresh, hot and crunchy shrimp and crisp fries. Each came with a dipping sauce of Ranch Dressing or Sweet Chili Oil. Service is great at the counter or at the Kiosk, which has photos and the products categorized for easy browsing, ordering and payment. Moncha has a rewards program for loyal customers. I think this is a good pit stop for my route in the area. Parking entrance is on Valley, it is a small lot, fortunately I got a spot in front. Sincerely, Rosemary

They have seasonal drinks and their regular menu. Their drinks are pretty good. I also saw you can checkout their board games. Many tables and chairs.

Good beverage. Price is affordable. Good design on cup. I like the matcha. Will be back soon. I like the vibes here. I could do my homework here!

Welcome to Moncha Cafe.

Moncha Cafe (est 2025) is a new boba tea in SGV. They are located at a corner plaza in Valley blvd and San Gabriel blvd. They have a modest selection of boba tea and snacks such as popcorn chicken. I made a quick stop by to grab their Strawberry Jasmine Green tea x Sakura boba. It was light and refreshing. Their popcorn chicken was decent bit crispier than most popcorn chicken in the entire valley. I won't it order again. Staff was nice, attentive and professional. Plenty off seats but most are occupied by young people playing mind craft cards or something. Overall, it's a decent tea shop.

I appreciate the intention of Moncha Cafe (Rosemead). I ordered the Iced Flower Tea ($5) with Brown Sugar Agar Boba (additional 75 cents). The tea is refreshing, crisp, and pleasant. Unfortunately, I sat on a sticky couch covered in long strands of old hair in a musty, unswept, grimy room while Staff casually rested by the counter. The location felt gross and unmaintained. I arrived at Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) on Tuesday - May 12, 2026 (at 12PM - Opening Time). The location was DIRTY! I quickly found parking in the small lot; it fits about 15 cars. Staff interaction felt nonexistent. Customers primarily order at the Self-Service Kiosk. I dislike how the kiosk requires a cell phone number to proceed. My drink took two minutes and 45 seconds. Quick. As mentioned, I ordered the Iced Flower Tea ($5) with Brown Sugar Agar Boba (additional 75 cents). YUM! The Iced Flower Tea is a combination of Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum buds, Osmanthus, and Gomphrena Amaranth Flowers. The tea is honey-like, crisp, and thirst quenching. Concerning the boba, it's floral with a grape-like texture; it's an acquired taste. On ambiance, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) has wonderful potential. For example, I absolutely LOVE the plentiful electrical outlets, MANY boardgames for customers, and plush seating. There's also customer internet with password; details proudly displayed on the counter. And there's a gender neutral restroom. The lighting and art is also attractive. Unfortunately, during my visit, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) reminded me of an unmaintained, public city bus. I have seen "B Grade" Businesses that are cleanlier... The crevices and corners are littered with crumbs; parts of the tables are sticky; the couches and cushions are entangled with long, old hair. Overall, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) is not bad. I genuinely enjoyed their tasty, affordable tea. However, I don't feel comfortable enough to return if they're unable to maintain a standard of cleanliness. I was literally the first customer that day, and it was DISGUSTING. I hope this location improves... Drinks: 4.7 out of 5 Staff: 2 out of 5 Ambiance: 1 out of 5 Overall: 3.4 out of 5

We stopped by this spot while looking for some late night popcorn chicken. The price for the size of popcorn chicken was pretty good! The chicken was tender inside and perfectly crispy outside. The employee at the front was very nice and the interior aesthetic was laidback and modern. We really enjoyed the teapot/teaset that came with two cute little glass tea cups. You can ask for free water refills as you drink! It definitely feels like a great study spot or place to chat with friends at.

PRISCILLA A.

The tea is good. Cute cups and packaging. 25% sugar is not sweet (which I prefer) and it satisfies the craving. We selected this place to try something new and I can say it was worth trying. Is it to die for but worth trying. The tea has a good a good balance of both. Good serving size. The price was good as well. Boba was a little tough.

I have to bump this place up to 5 stars. I keep coming back here whenever I want a snack and a place to get work done. It's such a relaxing spot to sit down with some delicious popcorn chicken and stay focused for hours. The tables and seating are spacious, so it's great for both studying alone and hanging out with groups. I also love the convenient location right off Valley.

Sakura Milk Tea and Assam Black Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Agar Boba
Stephanie H.

First time trying Moncha cafe and a pleasant experience! The workers were very nice and explained their new seasonal menu. We tried the Sakura Milk Tea (not my pick, but a good option if you like very floral flavors)! Also tried the Assam black milk tea with brown sugar agar boba. A good choice to get it a bit on the less sweet side as it runs a bit sweeter at baseline. The cups are very cute and the interior of the store had plentiful seating and outlets for hanging out/studying and playing board games! I'll have to come back next time to try some snacks :)

Hello! Do you have any vegetarian options from your snack menu?

Hello, yes we do! The spring rolls and also the sesame balls are vegetarian

Hi. Does now the shop is serving the Benton box? All day? and how much? I couldn't find the menu here... thanks Dec 9. 2025

Hello, yes we recently started serving bento boxes. They are currently served from lunch time to when our kitchen closes in the night, normally it would be 11:30 pm. Thank you

Do they have any pastries or food here?

They do have food now. I took a photo of the menu and will post it. Bentos are $12 or $14. Add $2 to add a tea or milk tea. $4 to add premium drink.

The workers don't care and it seems like there's no management here either. Sometimes they take away the kiosk. Why take it away and force me to interact with their extremely rude employees who always act like they don't want to be there? This is not a single experience. More than half the times I go here someone is rude. The boba are either softened to mush or are hard. They're either out of boba, out of straws, or out of lids. There are so many boba places in the SGV I don't see why I need to give this place more chances when I'm spending $8 on a drink with 15% preselected tip option just to deal with an employee that acts like you're interrupting their free time.

So, had to wait longer than usual. I usually get 25% for sweetness level. It tasted pretty good/to our palate for most drinks. Our favorite so far Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea 4.5/5 25% sugar is plenty sweet. Tiramisu Special Boba Milk Tea 4.25/5 25% sugar. I think 50% sugar would have been better. The coconut ice cream milk tea is a unique and delicious drink. Another standout drink is the matcha frostie with creme brulee. I have never had a bad drink from this place. Unfortunately, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted funky. Some pearls had the flavor of soap. "Gross!!" I arrived at YOTEA (Rosemead) on Monday (around 12:16PM). Parking is simple if familiar with the area. There's a rear parking garage for customers. Staff is unmemorable and awkward. When I mentioned they mixed old and new menus together which displayed incorrect prices, Staff seemed amused and let them stay mixed. Staff avoided customer interaction whenever possible. The drink took two minutes and 10 seconds. Quick time. The Pandan Milk Drink ($5.99 - 50% Sweetness - Regular Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 80 cents) tasted artificial. It had a strong "candy milk taste," and it glowed a neon green when stirred. The first sip was pleasant, but as I continued to drink, the taste became more off-putting. Next, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted inconsistent. Some tasted perfectly fine, but others had the flavor of dishwater and gloop. I was tempted to throw it into the garbage can. Concerning ambiance, YOTEA (Rosemead) has potential. Ignoring the cobweb underneath one table & the somewhat old furniture, there's utility. This location has about 10 electrical outlets. Wow! There's also customer internet with password; the internet information is taped onto the black register. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. YOTEA (Rosemead) is also very spacious. The ceiling is very tall, and there's many spots to sit. There's about 16 tables!! If desperate for a study/work spot, this is a decent choice. There's also upbeat, smooth music. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at YOTEA (Rosemead). There's utility and potential, but this business feels old and unmaintained. Rather than clean, Staff just chattered amongst themselves. Any passion that rang within these walls dissipated a long time ago. Currently, YOTEA (Rosemead) is simply mediocre. 2.9 out of 5
