I've visited Momo Ramen twice already in the last two weeks! I work in the area and every time I pass by I see it packed. It's a small intimate setting, but you could definitely bring a few friends here for dinner or go on a sweet romantic yet affordable date. The staff is always smiling and very sweet. The food at Momo Ramen is INCREDIBLE! I've been to some more upscale ramen places and I wasn't blown away nearly as much as I have been these last two visits. Momo has vegan options on their menu which makes me so happy as a devout Vegan. I ordered the Buddha Ramen with Rice noodles, and I was able to add extra ingredients to customize it. So I added extra age tofu, and seaweed. The food is just phenomenal! The perfect amount of seasoning, not too salty as some ramen can be, and not spicy. But they do not make it right at all...i had the classic one and my friend got the spicy tonkatsu one,both of them kinda dissapointment,mine had ground pork instead of sliced pork and the topping just sad portion of beansprout,kikurage and scallion,and my friend broth just straight spicy paste nothing else.We also order chicken momo that takes about 20 mt (which is not a biggie,the server let us know ahead),the momo pretty good but not wow and makes you crave for it again. read more

for reference this is a 3.5, but man.. i want to give this place more stars. there were some highs and lows with this place. so my girlfriend and i found this place on yelp. looked interesting and were pretty excited to try this place out. she got the momo ramen which came with pork and three soup dumplings and i got the then-thuk with shredded chicken which im told is a pretty traditional tibetan dish. so both soup stocks were awesome. full of flavor and really enjoyed them. our noodles were cooked perfectly (i really liked the flat noodles in the then-thuk). but unfortunately, the meat in both dishes were pretty bad. the chicken in the then-thuk wasn't even shredded, it just looked like they randomly cut pieces and every piece was a different size. on top of that, you can tell the the pork, meat in the dumpling, and chicken were old and frozen for a very long time. the taste and texture were off and we didn't end up eating all of our meat. so that was pretty unfortunate. not sure if this is the kind of care they put into their meat, but it was a shame because everything else was good. feel like its a disservice to the work they put in to their food. hope it was just a one off instead of a normal thing. read more

It was a good find, easy and fast. The vegetarian ramen was a bit salty for me (I rarely use salt to season) but my friend loved her pork ramen and said it was tasty. Compared to other ramen shops, I thought the soup base lacked in depth and miso flavor. All the ingredients were fairly standard and tasty. We were visiting Barclay Center and needed a place to eat. The noodles were cooked properly but again, as there was no flavor in the broth, there was no flavor to the ramen. I guess I came into this expecting rich and flavorful broth so in that sense, I was disappointed. But my kid is thrilled with his spicy tonkotsu ramen. I tried it; it's definitely more flavorful. Yoooo this place was SO GOOD! My friend and I randomly went in here the other night and it was pretty empty given that it was late on a weeknight, but that meant that the service was SO FAST. Everything came out really quickly and it was delicious. I got the Dan Dan Noodles and they were so so good. Got a little salty towards the end when I hit all the sauce but truly very tasty. I want to go back to try the ramen version of the same dish. We also got a few appetizers - I had the crab rangoons, which were good but very crabby, and I'm a stupid American who says she wants crab rangoons but really just wants fried cream cheese. My friend really liked the dumplings though, and he also spoke highly of his Momo Ramen. Service was great, wasn't too expensive, and damn, those Dan Dan Noodles were so good. I placed a large order and it was largely botched; I ordered two orders of beef momos and got one; there was no dressing on the nori salad and no scallion sauce in evidence on the cucumber salad (despite there protestations that there was). When I asked for them to send me my order, as it was ordered, they would only offer me a refund, for the missing or botched items, and then initially they claimed they had no evidence of my order. Was most of our food just defrosted? Possible. Regardless, the broth was tasty/spicy, but the soup bowl lacked "oomphh" in its filling. Great flavor, and a mildly thick soup base (I don't like it too watery), a nice combination of flavors and spice -- nothing overbearing 2. What constitutes good ramen can vary so much between people. So I am not sure if my review would mean anything. But I was not in love. Its was good and my boyfriend and I had a good meal here still. Now there are so many ramen places in Brooklyn, I am not sure if this place will be my top favorite. We had Momo ramen and Tonkatsu ramen. Broth - pretty subjective measure but they both had slight twist in taste with curry note which I was not too wild about. Noodles - definitely objectively not as good as some other places I have been. Its good. You should try and judge it for yourself but If you like more traditional miso based ramen I am not sure if you will fall in love with this place read more
