this is the closest molly tea location to where i stay. the store always has good service and the employees are efficient despite the huge number of customers everyday. naturally i am devastated to find it temporarily closed while the franchise fights a trademark legal battle with corporate. translated from a xhs (小红书) post i read on the backstory: "To the respected judge, I followed the court's order and covered the signboard of the store with a wooden board. Facing the blank door, I don't know what to put on. My brand told me that I can't use the name "Jasmine Milk White" anymore. And I haven't had time to think of a new name for myself. So, I put a question mark on it. This question mark is not a trademark or a brand. It is my only true expression at the moment: I don't understand. Why did the brand suddenly ask me to reduce 80% of the equity to 30% and transfer all the lease, control rights and employee management rights to them after we invested all our savings, signed a personal guarantee lease, and opened the store to the ceiling of New York? I refused. Then they cut off my goods, closed my store, closed my social media, and removed my takeaway platform. I don't understand. Why did I get a TRO in the state court? The court ordered them not to cut off the supply and close the store, but they could still go to the federal court to get another TRO and order me to remove all trademarks from the shelves within 48 hours? Two courts, two orders, and I was caught in the middle. I'm angry. But I can't roar in court. I can only hang this question mark on the door so that all passers-by can see: This store is going through something. I'm confused. I don't know what my store should be called tomorrow. I don't know how long the lawsuit will last. I don't know how long I can protect the most important things in my life when I sign a lease with a personal guarantee, more than 100 employees I employ, and my wife who is about to give birth. But I know one thing: I must continue to do business. My more than 100 employees are not the numbers in the eyes of the "other party's lawyers". They are ordinary people waiting for their wages to support their families. I continue to do business for them. My wife, she is a co-defendant in this case, and she is about to give birth to our child. She is under too much pressure. I must hold on, which is the best protection I can give her. The personal guarantee lease I signed is not a piece of paper. This is all my family. I can't close the store, I can't stop. If it stops, there will be nothing left. Judge, I'm not here to challenge your authority. I respect the court's order. I have covered the door with a wooden board, and I am already cooperating. I just kindly ask you to understand my situation and give me some time. Give me 30 days. I promise to complete the brand switch. I promise to turn this question mark into a real name. I promise that I will continue to obey all the orders of the court." read more

Placed an Uber Eats pickup order an hour before arriving and still ended up waiting another 30 minutes at the store. The place was completely disorganized. Drinks were piling up at the counter, and more than 10 customers were waiting for orders that had already been marked as ready in the system. Despite waiting, I never received my drink and ultimately had to cancel the order and request a refund. Absolute chaos on a Friday afternoon. I'm not sure I can blame anyone given the current legal dispute. Just wanted to give others a heads-up. Always love their drinks though. read more

I had to finally try it to understand the long lines. I'm guessing the tea steeping process takes a while so I came early and the wait wasn't too bad if you order in person versus ordering on the app. Tried both the signature jasmine tea and peach oolong tea. Delicious! Tea flavor game is strong and punchy. I forgot their cold drinks look like hot drinks and all are sealed before placed in a to-go bag. Prices are standard compared to other tea/bubble tea joints. Place is small and waiting in the area can be a bit crammed but everyone seems to know the unspoken etiquette and waiting order. read more

My friend knows that I love Jasmine Tea and took me to try MOLLY TEA. The line was out the door mainly because the shop is tiny. You can fit about 4-5 people in there. With only 3 people in front of us, it took about 15 minutes to make our drinks. I got the new Premium Jasmine Mango Coconut Tea. I mean c'mon now - the drink contains everything I love and hold dear! It's like they customize the drink just for me! LOL. You can taste the floral jasmine green tea right away with juicy mango and coconut water and topped with a smooth, velvety cream foam. Delicious! Not sure how they can blend all these ingredients together but yet you can taste them individually. They gave me the drink in this cute reusable pink bag! That was a nice touch and free advertising for them! read more

There's so much hype around this place so was excited to try it If you love florally, light teas then this place is for you. I'm not the biggest fan of this type of milk tea, I usually like deeper flavors and a bit of a richer milk tea otherwise it tastes too milky to me. This location had pretty much no wait but we did order online and picked it up read more

Molly Tea is still very popular and with a lot of customers every day. Every time I pass it, there are many people inside and outside on the block waiting for their drinks. The counter has many drinks prepared by the kitchen staff. The tea place smells fragrant of jasmine. It smells really nice even with the doors opened to the public. They are very heavy on magnet promotions that got me addicted. So far I have the Aquarius and Pisces magnets. They also promote holiday and personality type magnets besides horoscopes. The magnets have Molly representing the holiday and horoscope. They are so cute! I love their newest and latest drink series, Camellia. This series is more fragrant than the jasmine tea series. I love how the camellia flower tastes in the tea. Very fragrant. So far I tried their Camellia Oolong Milk Tea and Camellia Matcha. They were very good! Now they give out thermo bags to everyone without charging them extra. There are 3 sizes of thermo bags, a one drink, two drinks, and the last size holds up to 4 drinks. These thermo bags are very nice and pretty. They keep the drinks cold and hot. read more

I've always passed by Molly Tea and seen the crowds outside either waiting for their drinks and / or ordering. I still scratch my head as to if you own a phone and have the capability to order online, why you wouldn't take the more efficient route instead of ordering in person and then having to wait 30+ minutes for your order... I ordered a Snowy Jasmine from the Floral Snowy Whipped menu - the creme aspect is cute but doesn't really do anything for the drink. I wasn't that impressed as there are so many other options in the city like HeyTea and the price tag of $10 here was a bit underwhelming. I wouldn't run back here however it's worth a first time try. read more

This tea shop is tiny, pink, and undeniably cute. Ordering in person can feel a little chaotic, especially when it's busy. Pro tip: skip the line and place a mobile order using the QR code tucked into a little stall on the sidewalk. Way less stress. I tried the Gardenia Milk Tea, which was light and pleasant, but didn't blow me away. Overall, the drinks didn't quite feel worth the wait. However, I will admit the packaging, bags, and merch are adorable. All part of the charm. Fun stop for the aesthetics! read more

Depending on the day and time, you may run into a long line however it goes by fast! The space is a bit crowded but they have seating while you wait for your "order ready" text. We ordered at the kiosk which was very easy to use. We got the hot Jasmine milk tea with 70%. It was very refreshing and tasty but it was only lukewarm when we received it, so we went home to heat it on the stove. Also the lid does not close properly on the cup no matter what we tried and that felt very annoying. All in all, we would come back here especially to show visitors this place! read more

Having tried Molly tea in Toronto and LA, Molly Tea in New York City did not disappoint. This is a really small shop in Chinatown, so there is barely enough space, but they should know how to maximize it. The ordering process include a self-serve kiosk, like the other Molly tea's. You can also order online as well. When you get there, the process is fairly quick, but we had about nine people in front of us? You just have to hang out. I just didn't know that my order was done? So I was just waiting for a bit longer, but it is a bit hard when you have many people in a small space. Regardless, I really did. Enjoy my snowy jasmine milk, tea. read more

The tea here is really good. We ordered the pistachio tea at 30% sweetness, and it was the perfect balance--not too sweet and still let the flavors shine through. The line can get pretty long, but they make the process easy with a QR code ordering system. You can place your order, wander around to grab some snacks, and they'll notify you on your phone when it's ready for pickup. Overall, a solid spot for tea and definitely worth trying. That said... Finally hopped onto the Molly Tea hype! I usually get mango drinks from HeyTea but I think I've been converted to the jasmine mango tea and smoothies here. The jasmine apple milk tea was good but I liked their regular jasmine milk tea better. There was a strong apple flavour and I think the apple flavour overpowered the jasmine flavour. The drink itself felt less creamy compared to their original jasmine milk tea. The kiosk ordering was easy to use but the service seemed very slow. Although it was an hour before closing, the employees were unenthusiastic and were slow to make the drinks. I think I waited over 30 mins for my drink. read more

Pros: - the staff there are very well-mannered, never had an issue at any Molly Tea regarding service - I absolutely love the balance of flavors in all the drinks I've had at Molly - I ordered the Jasmine Apple Milk Tea, the flavors aren't too light or too strong and you can taste both the apple and Jasmine tea, which I absolutely love Cons: - I will say, the wait can get VERY long (~1 hr) especially on the weekends; waited roughly 45 minutes for my drink this time around but usually it's not that long - it's a small store so if you have to wait a long time, in the summer you'll suffer in the heat or in the winter, you'll suffer in the cold Comments: - they usually have promotions and/or events going on read more

Molly T has been my new favorite drink/treat to get when I'm in Chinatown. My absolute favorite is the mango slush drink. It is so yummy and fruity and creamy with the perfect texture of the chewy. Tapioca and mango bites on the bottom. The line can get pretty long and the service can be quite slow even after you place your order or you still have to wait around for them to make it and it can take up to 20 minutes so unless you have some time to spare, even if the line looks short you still have to wait a significant amount of time after placing your order . We loved the teas! The milk tea though, was good but we have had better. It didn't have a milky enough flavor to me, if that makes sense. Honestly Molly Tea would be my #1 bubble tea store in the century. Service is always fast and friendly. Ambience wise its really aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Molly Tea 63 Mott St. New York, NY 10013 Premium Jasmine Milk Tea I decided to explore the most popular drink among the customers and I also took them up on their serving proportion. I remember when Molly Tea was all the rage (and still is!) where you would see lines out the door. People were waiting upwards to an hour for their fix. Thankfully I was able to grab it on a rainy day when the hype was slowly dying down. The Molly Tea in Chinatown is a takeout window with a shelf of merch on the side. A little disorganized but the staff at least try to navigate the chaos. If you're in a hurry, the best thing to do is order ahead for pick up so you can get in and get out. The tea itself is pretty good, very fragrant, but I wouldn't say it's worth an hour wait. I only waited 20 minutes for my order and that's the longest I would wait. I ordered the premium jasmine milk tea which is what they're known for. My mistake for getting the tea at 25% because they actually mean what they say. Their drinks are not sweet. If you're used to ordering 25% at other bubble tea chains, 50% might be the move. Their default sweetness is 75%. I also tried my friend's white champoco oolong milk tea (which I enjoyed more than my own tea) and would definitely come back for that. Molly's is definitely worth a try if you want more tea flavor in your bubble teas. Just order ahead so you don't have to wait in line. read more

I love molly tea and I frequent it every time I am in the city. Everything from the taste to the branding is as close to perfection as it comes for a milk tea shop. The shop itself is relatively small, and it can get crowded at times. However, the few times I've come here, the staff have always been efficient and were always able to move the line fast. The moment you step in the shop to order, you are hit with a strong, but pleasant fragrant of tea. I am so obsessed to that smell! They do sell small items on the side like keychains, hand creams etc. On this specific day, my friend and I got the Premium Jasmine matcha and it was delicious. I've had other drinks from their menu before and the overall base of the drinks are very similar, so they have similar notes. Let's start by saying I had no idea how hyped up this place is... i walked by hoping to get a boba tea, and as soon as I saw the long lines, beautiful packaging, stunning beverage presentation- of course i had to get in line to try it out! I'd like to mention this place seemed quite authentic as most patrons & employees spoke Chinese, menu was in Chinese, even the printed receipt had english/Chinese translation..this was not a boba tea place, and im not mad about it! I tried a Jasmine/coco tea with pistachio foam & topping, it was pretty amazing. It was aromatic, flowery, and refreshing, the pistachio topping was beautiful! I meant to stop by again while in NY but schedule did not permit, I can't wait to visit again and try more menu items! Highly recommended, service is quicker if you order online, otherwise you may end up waiting quite a while in line. read more

Ahhh, FINALLY GOT TO TRY MOLLYTEA! The last few times I was in NYC, I didn't have the time to try BUT omg... SO GOOD! I now understand why it's always so packed. We originally thought there was a long line out the door but realized it was just people waiting after ordering lol. You can either order via ChowBus QR Code, inside at the self ordering kiosk, or at the counter. We tried the Pistachio Jasmine Coco & the snowy jasmine. BOTH were amazing! The only thing we were not a fan of was, they gave us these really small straws that made it super hard to drink the snowy jasmine especially. Highly recommend if you enjoy drinking teas! Favorite is still their jasmine milk/oat milk tea! But sometimes I give their other drinks a chance too. During the release of new drinks or random weekends, they'll often have promotions for sachets, pins and magnets (I own 3 so far!). -peach oolong milk tea (newest addition). It tastes like peach flavored oolong milk tea so good for those who are fans of peach flavored drinks/desserts. -jasmine mango smoothie. Personally I feel like it has a slight edge over HeyTea's version and overall is a solid mango sago drink. Tea flavor is too noticeable when combined with mango. -osmanthus milk tea. One of the best things to come out of 2025 was discovering Molly Tea w the other abg/abb's in my life lol. Had the pleasure of trying multiple drinks, and usally get the pistachio jasmine coconut, but recently tried the white champaca milk tea which was aromatic and warmed me up on a chilly day. Champaca is a fun lil word but its basically an essence of white orchids, very smooth and more subtle than the jasmine tea they are known for. Absolutely loved trying Molly tea! At first impression, the workers are very kind and work pretty quickly considering the amount of drink orders they have and careful toppings and packaging of drinks. However it is definitely beyond crowded and very chaotic energy with everyone waiting for their drinks for almost 15-20mins for one drink. A literal fight for your life waiting in such crowded four by four square area with dozens of people. Came during the Molly Tea x Mei Lai Wah collab and the premium jasmine milk tea sadly did not meet expectations, too heavily tea flavored, very fragrant, and not much milk or sweet flavor. Definitely a skip for me. And as an fyi, the Snowy Jasmine is just the same drink with whipped cream and pecan added in case you thought it'll be different . The bun was also just sliced with a huge slab of butter which was an icky texture feeling for me. Also came during the basketball event and got a cute pink satchel and pin which was cute though. Regardless, I am SO glad I came back again to try a different drink, the SNOWY PEACH OOLONG $8 soooo worth it and I will definitely be back , if anything just for this one drink!!
