Had to end my trip with another boba drink. This place actually ended up being my favorite. I got the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea with Boba. I loved the floral flavor of the osmanthus mixed with the oolong tea! I wish it came without milk, but I would've been too tempted to get two at that point because of how refreshing it was. It wasn't light, but the sweetness level wasn't unbearable. I loved it!
Came by on an afternoon to try their refreshing drinks. I ordered the lychee smoothie. It looks more of a slushie than smoothie. It has jasmine tea, lychee fruit pieces& syrup, and ice. I feel like for a smoothie. It has to be some sort of milk in there and my drink has no milk. There was nobody when I got to the store. There was a kiosk so I ordered my drink through the kiosk. The drink took less than a minute to be prepared which is quick.
Quick stop for a drink in Chinatown after lunch. I was the first one to order after they opened. Super cute boba shop with the game collab?! The drink came out pretty fast. There's no seatings though just FYI. I got the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea with Boba with 50% sugar and it was pretty good for a break from walking! The tea is good quality but boba is a tiny bit soggy for my liking.
I like this spot and I am going back for sure to try more drink. When I went there, it was kind of crowded, but I guess cause it is a popular spot and their drinks are good and refreshing. I decided to get the Lychee Smoothie, and it was really good! It was refreshing, and had that delicious lychee flavor. Its had the right amount of sugar and was not too sweet. There are no sitting area, more of a grab and go spot. It is in Chinatown so depends on the day and time, it can be crowded. But yeah, ill be going back again.
Got their signature Osmanthus oolong milk tea and was not impressed. The tea flavor was weak and it tasted like 90% milk. At $7+ for such a small drink, I'm expecting amazing flavors and this one just didn't cut it. There are a ton of other bubble tea shops in Chinatown with similarly priced but better tasting drinks so it's highly unlikely I'll be coming back to this one.
Love this new addition in Chinatown, which is easily on par with Molly Tea down the block. The floral tea flavors are so fragrant and also served in a triple straw to enhance the flavors. I ordered the signature Black Milk Tea Frappe ($7.99 for large). I like the nutty topping on top of whipped cream for some nice texture and sweetness. Also, service was quick and I got my drink within minutes. If there's a long line at Molly Tea, you're better off coming to ChaHalo instead. Also recommended to get your drink light ice and 70% sugar.
Listen up ChaHalo is slept on and is better than Molly Tea!! You must get their famous Jasmine Green Milk Tea (5/5) and you won't be disappointed. Their drink is more floral in Jasmine tea notes and milky that gives it a creamy, smooth finish. It's perfectly sweet aka not too sweet and packed with flavor! This is my favorite boba spot of all time and I love how they have an option of adding on their brown sugar boba that's the perfect consistency of bouncy, chewiness. The quality of this fragrant jasmine green milk tea can't be beat anywhere else. Once you try ChaHalo's Jasmine Green Milk Tea, I promise you it will make Molly Tea's Jasmine Milk Tea taste like water lol...come here for better flavored Jasmine green milk tea and a shorter line! Tried out this new bbt shop in Chinatown, and I was a little disappointed. The menu isn't very big, so there aren't a lot of choices to choose from. The drink I got also wasn't very good... too soap-like. It's Citrus Flavored Black Milk Tea with Cinnamon. I couldn't taste the cinnamon in the bev. There was a fragrant citrusness but it was so overpowering that it wasn't pleasant. Perhaps other drinks are better. I really like the Chinese illustrations on the cups! Interior is small so no tables or seats
I tried chahalo out today, saw tons of lines over the summer. I asked for a simple order, a bubble milk tea with 30% sugar. They said they cant do 30%, only 50%, fine no biggie. So i change it to 50%. So i watch them make it, i didn't see them put any tea whatsoever, they bring it out, i ask if it had tea, they said no, only milk. After going back and forth trying to find out which exact one on their menu was a regular bubble milk tea, they say a black tea milk frappe with boba. So i order that. I didn't pay attention when they were making it for a sec so didn't notice, when they brought it out. It straight up tasted like watered down super sweet milk with boba, i did not taste even an ounce of tea in there. Drank 20% and tossed the rest, such a waste of money. Ended up going down the street to another bubble tea place for a good one.
Good tea and a quick stop while exploring Chinatown. Service was fast, the drink was refreshing and well balanced without being overly sweet. Nothing groundbreaking, but a solid tea that hit the spot.

The wait was 10-20 minutes which is also similar to molly tea. Their drinks are good, and I would definetly revisit for their simple drinks and fraps. Another milk tea competitor joins nyc!

I do have to try their bubbles next time!

We saw a promo with Fantuan Delivery and decided to try it by ordering through the app. We got their signature Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea which is a cold drink. The drink was fragrant and tea flavor was strong which we like. We chose 70% sweet with light ice and it was just the right sweetness. It took awhile to pickup the drink because there was a lot of people. I saw my order # show up on the screen being prepared but then the # disappeared and didn't show up in the ready for pickup section. However, on the app it said the drink was ready for pickup. This caused the wait to be longer than needed due to the glitch in the system. When I went up to show them the drink was already prepared. The worker apologized for the long wait and was nice, which was appreciated even though it wasn't their fault. Looking forward to trying their other drinks in the future! It's a small little storefront located next to Hay Hay Roasted.
First time trying and my cousins and I loved it. It's different compared to the other bubble tea shops around us We all tried a lychee variety of drinks and especially loved the fact that they use real fruit. I especially enjoyed my lychee oolong milk tea. It had actual lychee but inside. You can adjust the milk, ice and sweetness level as well! read more

Uhhhh quite weak tea flavor, much weaker than expected. If you're going to lean on the less sweet with your milk teas there absolutely needs to be a strong tea bite on each sip to form the drink and give it SOMETHING... some body some reason to drink it just SOMETHING. This is another bubble tea place that opened up called ChaHalo in Chinatown with the rest of the bubble tea places popping up recently. I went for one of their signature drinks, the osmanthus oolong milk tea in large and iced with light sugar or 30% sugar levels. It's such a good thing bubble tea can be adjusted like that. The osmanthus oolong milk tea was really good and had a great aroma. I can definitely taste the osmanthus flowers. Tasted pretty good with little sugar in it. The straw is very tiny so I got to enjoy the drink better that way. But for some reason the large size seems very small because I ended up finishing it fast regardless of the skinny small straw. The thermo bag they give is reusable and very nice like other bubble tea places. The bad thing is the resealable strip gets very sticky to the point that it is not usable anymore. The lid will not stick and close when it becomes very sticky. Sucks Store is very tiny and has no chairs. It's a tiny place where all the doors are opened to the public. read more
Pretty good milk teas. The tea is fragrant and isn't overpowered by the milk. Tried both osmanthus oolong and black milk tea frappe. The frappe is a good choice if you want something different from your usual Bbtea order. Quality is similar to Molly. There is no seating and the place is small so if there's a lot of people, you might have to wait outside for your drink to be ready. read more

They were also offering bogo the weekend we visited so we got very lucky! Brown sugar boba with jasmine milk tea: the jasmine tea is so fragrant and enjoyable. Combine that's with the decadence of the brown sugar and it creates a nice drink. I recommend 50% sugar and less ice! A great place to stop by and grab a quick boba. The cashier had bit of trouble with understanding English but he just needed me to repeat myself once so not a bit deal but please be patient when ordering! read more
Heard about how good the tea quality is here so gave it a try while I was in the area. Their store is small with no seating since it is in Chinatown so it's a very casual order and go style. I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea (6.99) large size with less sugar and warm. I ordered at the counter since there is no kiosk. The employee was friendly and helpful. I waited around 10 minutes for our drink because their steamer machine needed time to turn on since we came right when they opened. I guess they felt bad because they gave us a free bag of potato chips when the drinks were ready, which I appreciated since it showed they cared. I really liked the quality of the milk tea. The tea quality is good like I heard and the milk isn't too creamy. The price point was also reasonable for the size and this quality! Their cups are also very good quality and I love the design. I will be visiting another Chahalo in the future! read more

Saw they had a Bogo deal today and decided to give it a shot, Apprently a big brand name in China. Upon arriving, the line was extremely long, good thing is it was moving quick, got to the front in 15-20mins and managed to order a rock oolong milk tea as well as a few others to try. I have to say the flavoring of the tea is good, the tea flavor really stands out which is great. Will definitely come back to try other items. Stopped by before and got to sample their tea, jasmine milk tea was good. I bought a couple other drinks, including another popular one that's oolong milk tea but did 30% sugar and it was just ok, probably better with more sugar so next time I'll try 50% or 75%. Orchid scented green milk tea was another one i got and that was skippable. Would increase the sugar level again since 30% wasn't that good. Overall you can taste the tea and it's pretty strong, the sample tasted better than Molly tea for me. Think I just didn't order the right sugar level this time so will give it a try again next time. read more

A new boba place replacing an old Vietnamese shop that used to be located here. In all honesty, it just taste like Molly Tea but maybe just a little worse. Their teas didn't exactly stand out. There was a crowd there during the grand opening to try em out but the crowd has mostly faded by now. Service is just as expected with all the other boba stores located in the vicinity. read more

small and new boba shop on Mott street in Chinatown! I get that Chinatown has tons of boba spots but this spot is worth a try. Stopped by and got the recommended osmanthus oolong tea & the rock oolong tea (both hot) and they were much needed in this cold weather! Menu is kinda small for now since it just opened here I guess & no seating inside unfortunately. Ingredients all tasted fresh and they weren't overly sweet. Will stop by again to try their other drink options :) (self service kiosk btw which is what most boba spots have nowadays) read more
Got the orchid green tea with whipped cream and it was pretty good! Nice floral taste and not too sweet. I think it's pretty competitive with similar tea shops in the area. No line as well which is super nice. However, I do wish there was a cap for the drink! Feels weird going around with it all exposed :(. read more

Came here on a weekday when they stop the bogo. The store decoration looks like an Asian boba store from china. The service is really fast. I ordered from the fantuan app. I got the tip 2 sellers from the app. Within 5minutes the milk tea drink was ready. It was really good. I would come back to try grape milk next time. read more

Stopped by ChaHalo and the service was efficient. Rock Oolong Milk Tea (less ice, 70% sweet) * My rating: 7.9/10 -- A solid classic! The oolong flavor really comes through, and the tea-to-milk ratio is nicely balanced. Definitely not one of those overly milky versions where the tea gets lost. * Friend's rating: 2.5/10 --"hurts my head when I drink," in their words Jasmine Green Milk Tea (less ice, 100% sweet) * My rating: 8.7/10 -- I loved this one! The jasmine flavor is fragrant and distinct, and again, the balance between tea and milk is just right. * Friend's rating: 5.5/10 -- Thought it was very milky and surprisingly not too sweet for 100% sugar (they usually go for 50-70%). Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea (less ice, 100% sweet) Unfortunately, this one was a bit of a letdown for me -- 6.5/10. The flavor reminded me of Kasugai flower candy, and I was hoping for something closer to ChiChaSanChen's osmanthus, which has a much deeper floral note. My friend also gave it 6.5/10, saying it tasted pretty good and was milky, but didn't give her the headache the rock oolong did. read more
