Rose Lychee Latte
Mikka V.

I was thrifting in the area and was craving a sweet treat, so I stopped by this place n The set up caught my eye as it had more of a kiosk set up with some tables set up inside a plastic booth. I tried the Rose Lychee latte which was honestly so delicious! They had a variety of unique drinks and I appreciate seeing that they offered lactaid milk as a lactose intolerant person. I plan to come back to try their other drinks :)

Located near St Marks, Uluhuluh is boba shop with a restaurant (Little Uluh) in the back. If you sit down at their restaurant, then there's an order minimum that you must meet for each person ($15pp). Service here is good. The interior is also spacious and there's plenty of seating. The drinks here were good but definitely way too sweet for me (and I don't think I would get it again). Also, they were on the pricy side and I was a bit underwhelmed (although the presentation was pretty!).

This place has a small counter outside just for drinks. I got the sunny side up matcha latte. I thought it looked cute, but besides that, it tasted pretty average and nothing really stood out to me...

I thought these were two solid matcha drinks! The Sunny Side Up Matcha did not taste too milky and had a hint of passion fruit which actually worked with the drink as a whole. The Jasmine Matcha was my favorite because the jasmine tea flavor was very strong. Lots of cafes/drink places have not-so-strong tea that is overshadowed by sweetener but this was not the case at all.

Cute boba shop located right next to their restaurant on 14th st by the L train! Had a cute menu with new bubble tea fruit tea / milk tea flavors I've never seen before. Ended up getting the brown sugar matcha with boba and it was alright at best. The drink still had some matcha clusters on the bottom so it wasn't whisked well. The matcha tasted somewhat watery and wasn't the best quality. I'd come back if if was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Overall a 7/10

We love a boba tea (meaning me of course)! I got the mango green tea with mango fruit at the bottom. Fast service and this was refreshingly good especially with the mango at the bottom.

[NYC BOBA TOUR STOP #54] *My other stops on the tour: https://www.yelp.com/collection/4dXTAnFqPHD1D8obaInTZw/nyc-boba-tour Very cute little place that also serves food in the back, and their drinks are Not Your Typical drinks, so you get to try some new flavor combinations, and new drink profiles, and that's FUN. The main thing they advertise on social media are these cute little egg decorations probably made out of cheese foam and jelly? They honestly do nothing for me other than looking cute, and that's not much but it's honest work. I got the matcha latte but received the brown sugar matcha latte, which is fine but it was slightly wrong. This drink overall was better than I thought it would be! The boba was surprisingly strong and had a good old honey flavor inside them, but some of the bobas were harder than others and hurt the teeth. I also tried the Rose Lychee on a second visit, which came with cheese foam on top. This drink was definitely very pretty, but let's get into that price because no matter how good or pretty these are, they are simply not worth over $9. I finished the Rose Lychee in like five sips because the ice was so abundant and there was just not enough liquid in here to justify paying this price. Definitely a huge drawback. My friend enjoyed her Pearl Rice Juice, which is not a drink I've seen anywhere else. She thought it was super refreshing though!

$12 milk tea

Don't recommend for anyone! The drinks are way over priced - $12 for a plain milk tea that I'm certain I can make myself, no toppings - service was subpar as they didn't offer any customizations for sugar levels, ice level or toppings. Sit in requires $15 minimum per person.

Strawberry Matcha Latte

For one person working, he was able to make all of our drinks and was so patient with us. Place was clean, great drink and food options. Wish I would've seen this place first before buying food in the food court. Drinks were made from fresh ingredients and presented well.

Had really yummy tea here on a weekday night around 4:15! The menu had several yummy-sounding options without being too overwhelming. My friend and I also split the fluffy strawberry pancakes. I had not tried them before so I don't know how they compare to others, but they really were fluffy and the strawberry flavor paired well with the pancakes. The interior seems to be recently renovated. I would describe this place as "cozy", but it has a calming, clean atmosphere. The service was quick and pleasant. Our server warned us before ordering that the pancakes take 20 minutes which I appreciated.

A bit frustrated at how my "less ice" drink was completely filled with ice! Tea was decent, was gone in 3 sips. Will never go here again.

Good burger from this place. Juicy and flavorful. Buns are nice and fluffy. Good place for dates, hangouts. Service is good. Price is on the high end side. Drink menu is not my fav. No plain tea. Only 2 levels for Ice and sugar: regular or less. I usually take it no ice or sugar so I didn't try any tea. Honestly the whole setup reminds me of another tea shop called machi machi. Still it's a solid place for food/drink.

Autumn L.

The drinks are very okay, I got the strawberry matcha 50% sweet. It was still quite sweet and had a light strawberry flavor. Couldn't really taste the matcha that much. It's not the worst tea I've ever had, but not that good either.

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.
