You have to try their egg tart. It is creamy and not too sweet. The service was alright. I didn't get a number when I ordered, and when I asked, she didn't seem very happy.
China town can be overwhelming when it comes to food options. I was immediately intrigued by the display of baked goods at tea pulse. There is very limited seating inside and a few chairs/tables outside. Service is great. I got the chocolate donut and the mango donut. Loved them both! Lovely icing and the donut is a perfect cakey and flaky texture!
With so many choices around Chinatown for Asian drinks, we decided to spot in at Tea Pulse for a simple, refreshing iced tea drink. It's a really small shop with an ordering kiosk right outside. We ordered some kind of lemonade tea to ease the thirst on this hot and humid day walking around. Service was fairly fast. It was more like an in and out visit for us that day.
This spot reminded me of Molly Tea in California, without the higher price tag. I ordered the Hot Orchid blanc pure tea and it was very good. Not too sweet and you could really taste the tea flavor. On a hot day, this hit the spot. I ordered on a kiosk and it took a few minutes to make. There was seating within the interior but is very limited. They also sell other trinkets and keychains as well as some deserts but I didn't get to try those. The staff was friendly and nice.
The first time I had Tea Pulse was in Queens and I remembered really enjoying their drink and their pastel de nata which is served warm. It was so so good the crust was perfectly flaky. I ordered the Grape Lemon Blast Jumbo size at this location, half sugar, but I should have listened to my coworker and got 30% sugar instead. It was still sweet to me at 50% level. But nonetheless, still a tasty grape lemon drink. Their Jumbo size is so worth it in terms of price and if you can't finish it all, share it with friends or save it for later! If you order through certain apps with coupons, the drink prices are even cheaper!
I came here to try the Pastel de Nata (a Portuguese custard tart). The place itself is small, and there is no seating inside. The service was friendly. What I really liked about the tart was that the custard was nice and smooth, and that it was served warm. The crust is crispy and buttery - just a really nice treat. I'd love to come back and try a drink.
I went on opening day and they were offering a 12% automated discount to customers. The discount is already adjusted on the self kiosk and iPad if you order with the staff. I ordered their Orchid Blanc from their Silky Milk Tea list. I got a medium size with less ice, less sugar and brown sugar boba. The boba was alright. Somewhat stiff on the corners of the boba. The drink tasted like pure bland tea without sugar. Should have added more sugar to the drink. What was so good about the opening day was the fact that I got a keychain and a scented stone by subscribing to their WeChat group and writing a review! The keychain is so cute with a furry ball with a bubble tea miniature! I went back to Tea Pulse on the last promotion day of the 100 iPhone cases distribution to their first 100 customers and there was a long line in the morning! It was that popular and hyped up! I waited in line and thankfully scored a pouch by ordering 2 drinks! I ordered their Jasmine lemon blast and jasmine light milk with no sugar and less ice! I loved their Jasmine Lemon Blast a lot! It was a blend of Jasmine tea with a twist of lemon from their slices of lemon! The Jasmine light milk was not that great in my opinion because it lacked flavor and not enough sugar because I requested 0% sugar! So now I will remember to have at least 50% sugar when I order milk teas from Tea Pulse because their milk teas tasted really bland without the sugar!
After trying two different drinks at different visits - osmanthus and orchid blanc - I'm still of the opinion that it's really light/watered down in the tea and milk taste compared to Molly. By the time the ice was halfway melted I felt like I was just drinking water oh nooo. But they really shine when it comes to the lemon blasts, especially the refreshing jasmine lemon blast and the jumbo size is IT. Perfect for summer and for two to share
New spot that opened on the corner of Doyers St. We got their new Snow Top drinks to try, which is topped with whipped cream and tea powder/toppings, depending on the drinks you get. We got less sugar for both drinks and the flavors are pretty decent! We also got their Portuguese Egg Tarts to try and they were very good - crispy, flaky, and not overly greasy. Their prices pretty standard. I'd say that this spot is worth the try, given that there's been several promos since they recently opened.
I came here to try the boba and left loving their egg tarts more than the drinks. They still make good bubble tea though! The Strawberry Lemon Blast was so refreshing and had fresh chunks of strawberry bite and lime slices in it. You can get your drinks in jumbo size like I did which was massive. It lasted me two days since I put it in my fridge. The Brown Sugar Boba was okay. The pearls texture was excellent but the drink itself tasted more like milk tea than a milk base. I think they made it with milk tea, so maybe I ordered incorrectly. It's small inside so there's nowhere to sit but since it's in the Doyers St alley, there's public seating outside in the alley. The servers were quick though and our drinks were ready within 5-10 minutes even though it was quite busy!
The egg tart is one of the best I've had in a while. Love the flaky and crunchy outer shell while the egg had the right amount of sweetness and density. Service was met with a smile. Just a place to take out but they did have 2 small tables
New tea spot on Doyers street. It serves a variety of teas and egg tart custard. There was a short line and I ordered via a staff who put my order in via iPad. She was very sweet and patient. You put in your order and am given a number. You then wait for your number to show up on a screen, or a staff member calls out as well. There were small samples of lemon tea on the side of the store. Decided to try the lemon jasmine tea and the brown sugar boba. Asked for less ice for the boba. Was told the lemon tea already comes with less sugar. Waited about 20 minutes for my order. It is a small street and was a bit crowded but nothing too crazy. The lemon tea was okay. Like someone said in previous review, average. Asked for less ice in the boba but came with no ice. The drinks could use some work. You can also leave a Google review or make a post on social to get little giveaways, incense, keychain, or a pouch. Pouch is limited to 100/day. Believe this is only for the grand opening. Did not get to try the egg custard this time but hopefully next time.
Love their tiramisu latte !!! so creamy and coffee is strong too... will Come back try other drinks!
TeaPulse is honestly one of the best chain tea places I've been to! They have a really good variety of drinks, ranging from refreshing fruit teas to milk teas. I got the mango drink and it was so good. It came with a bunch of toppings inside, which made it feel like more than just a drink and gave it a lot of different textures. My friends got some of the teas and they were super refreshing too. I really wish they had a location in Philly because I'd definitely go more often! They also have a selection of pastries that looked really good, so I'd love to come back and try those one day. The shops are usually pretty small with limited seating, but overall, TeaPulse is a great spot with delicious and unique drinks. read more
I decided to deviate uncharacteristic from my usual default predilection beverage. Tea Pulse menu is limited in the fruit tea selection. The choice of toppings is miniscule and my favorite grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is not an option offered. However, I entered with situational awareness and a open mind reviewing Tea Pulse's drink menu. This business intent for drink sizes either large or extra large is to spike their prices and load sugar for customers to spend more. I did requested half sugar to reduce my sugar intake as suggested and Former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg would be proud of my sugar intake level. I highly despise extreme sweet drinks for the high sugar content volume and agree with former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's limiting sugar level initiatives consumption of sugary drinks. The large was somewhat large. Customer service is average. Napkins are abundantly available for distribution to customers. Strawberry lemon fruit tea blast, large $7.25 Surprisingly this drink was not overpowered with a lemon taste. It contains several pieces of lime and fresh pieces of strawberry fruit. Oddly surprisingly, I did not taste any lime. I do not like lime and I am grateful it was not sour. The ice melted entirely on very warm Saturday in June. I wished there were a lot of ice that my cup was sweating condensation profusely. The ice was very minimal and my drink became room temperature. I did received my sales receipt and my drink label. It seemingly appears a lot of coffee and bubble tea businesses are copying the trend of Starbucks' drink label affixed to the cups. The lid contains a strip of sealant tape on the cup to prevent spillage or leakage. read more
This is one of my favorite tea spots. This is the first location in Chinatown. I have been going there for a long time since they opened last year. I was there for the grand opening, and it was amazing to watch. They had Lion dance and performances. The service is great. They have a kiosk, which helps with the line. I feel like they are fast, even when it gets busy. This location is between Pell Street and Doyer Street. It is quite small tho. This is more of a take-out spot. Overall, the drinks are refreshing, and they are known for their Portuguese egg tarts. I highly recommend coming and visiting. They have open couple of locations in NYC. read more

For a bubble tea shop, the egg tarts is better than the tea. lol. But granted the egg tart is REALLY good. It was so dense and full of egg, probably double the filling than a normal egg tart. The crust was fluffy and overall not too sweet. read more
I'm not too fan of bubble tea but my colleague mentioned this new place opening up and they were offering 12% discount, which isn't much but better than nothing. When we got there, there wasn't a line but it took a good 15-20 mins after we ordered to get our drinks. We ordered 3 so we could get the phone bag but very disappointed when they said it was only for the first 100 customers. I had the cheese Thai tea with bubble, 30% sugar. I think the cheese is only in the name and it didn't take anything different from other Thai tea. Even with 30% sweetness i found it pretty sweet. The egg tar was very flaky but the crust was too thick and the egg tart was tiny. It's on Doyers st so they are so outside seating which is always nice. The owner/manager was outside giving out samples. read more

Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea (100% sugar, less ice) My rating: 9/10 * Has that classic milk tea taste * 100% sugar is not too sweet * Tea flavor is great * Brown sugar flavor is very muted Friend's rating: 7/10 * Too little tapioca * Too sweet I tried Tea Pulse's Tahiti Ceylon Boba recently -- ordered it at 70% sugar with regular ice -- and it was a solid 7/10 for me. Pretty good overall! One thing I noticed is that this drink only comes with a regular ice option, unlike some of their other drinks where you can ask for less. The ice here is blended into the drink, which gives it a frosty texture. Personally, I actually like to let it sit a little so the ice melts down -- it makes the drink taste smoother and more balanced in my opinion. Flavor-wise, the cocoa dust on top didn't really add much to the profile. It looked nice, but I couldn't really taste it in the drink itself. That said, the tea base was enjoyable, and the overall experience was refreshing. The entrance was a little chaotic because so many people waiting for their drinks. We went for the pastel de nata. We originally had pastel de nata in Portugal. The one they had here definitely had a very soft and bouncy middle. There was a lot of middle compared to a crème brûlée top. There was not much on top. It was not too sweet. The pastel de nata in Portugal was much sweeter, had a much smaller middle and more crunchy surface, also much more cinnamon flavor. This crust was very flaky and buttery. It is pretty good, but not something I would personally seek out again. Good to try. read more

Newly open bubble tea shop on Pell and Doyer next to two other bubble tea-coffee shop. No line to order but waited over 40 minutes for my drink. I got the grape lemon tea and the strawberry lemon tea both with 30% sugar but still found it a little too sweet. Nothing too crazy about it, can be described as average. Location is a nice corner spot, small shop, I think there's some stool seating. read more

I was on my way to the train station after an appointment and saw that they sold egg tarts and decided to try. They had kiosks outside of the store where you can put in your order which I greatly appreciated. I walked into the store which is very quaint, the employees were working hard packing their orders. I waited for about less than 10 minutes in total and happily went out the door. Employees seem friendly and hardworking for use. I think I'll try the teas next. read more
