    Egg custard tart
    Sarah A.

One of my favorite places to get lemon teas. You can't go wrong with any of their flavors for the lemon teas. I go through my rotation of Ceylon Lemon or the Grape Lemon. On the menu, "blast" means their original size (which is equivalent to a large cup size) and "jumbo" means JUMBO SIZE. It's seriously so huge, I usually just get that size and share with other people. It's worth it in my opinion. I also love their egg custard tart. It's basically double the size of a regular egg tart from a Chinese bakery. Crust has super thin layers stacked on top and makes it super flaky. Sometimes they have it freshly made and warm, that's the best time to eat it. Otherwise, room temperature is good too, but better warm! Not too sweet.

Try: Strawberry Lemon Blast and Egg Tarts! Why: I was craving boba but happened to walk by Teapulse and saw ads of their refreshing drink so tried their Strawberry Lemon Blast Jumbo. And yes, jumbo it was! I ended up saving half for later to drink with my dinner. I got 1/2 sugar and it was sweet enough for me, and I have a sweet tooth. I can taste both strawberry and lemon flavors, and there's actually bits of real strawberry and slices of lemon inside. The egg starts were also good, flakey outside and silky smooth inside. Note: They have 2 kiosk pads you can use for convenience or you can order at counter. I used the kiosk since I didn't know what I wanted at first. They display the delicious egg tarts at counter too, which looks and smells wonderful. Worker was friendly when my order was ready and she offered me a nice takeaway bag for easy carrying since the cup was jumbo sized. They have some seating inside where you can enjoy the egg tarts warm. Overall, delightful snack experience in Chinatown!

What a great new boba chain! I came here while waiting for another takeout order and decided on getting their Jasmine milk tea with boba and decided to try their lemon tart. I ordered on the kiosk and it was quick to make the drinks. The tea flavor is very fragrant and the lemon tart is so crispy and flaky. There's a few small tables to sit any enjoy your drinks to catch up with friends. I hope this chain makes it's way up to Boston soon!

Bubble Tea is definitely becoming very popular and on the rise in Chinatown! So many chains popped up this past year! Everyone is lining up in these bubble tea spots that can extend outside the street and block off the whole block. It's impossible to walk on the street with the large crowd! I cannot believe they opened another Tea Pulse in Chinatown apart from the one in the alley way by City Hall. Now they got 2 locations! This new location is definitely popular compared to the other one that has no seating inside the place. This place just opened last week and it is was not as packed when it first opened. I stopped by this place when it was still going through construction with the signs outside. Too bad one of the letters in the Tea Pulse logo outside is scratched! I wondered who did that. What a tragedy to the new place that just opened. When it was opened last week, the discount promo offer they had was 12% off all drinks. I got a drink to steal that offer. I got the snow top amber Ceylon light milk tea. The whipped cream tasted really good like I was in heaven. It got mini nuts that look like rose petals in the whipped cream! They also offered me a bag tote with a cat design that can hold your essentials and phone. The bag looked really cute with the cats all over! Then next week came and they got another BOGO FREE promotion. I was super excited to get that promotion so I went in Tea Pulse to see the whole tea shopped packed to death! It was impossible to walk and maneuver yourself inside! There were too many people getting the promotion offer. Besides the buy one get one free drink, they were also offering a free egg tart if you buy 5 of them! Once you make your purchase you can enter for a free draw to win a scented stone, a cute furry keychain, Pokémon cards, or concert tickets. I got 2 purchases so I got the chance to pick 2 draws and ended up with 2 scented stones. The stones smelled really powdery like soap instead of a room diffuser. I kept getting the scented stone every time I did the draw. In total, I got 3 scented stones! I was so pissed I didn't get to win the other items! I ordered their latte and it was so good! It was buttery and silky with a good coffee aroma. I ordered it twice and it still had a good aroma without any added sugar. Tea Pulse also had a Parisian Butter latte and it was very good and not that sweet even with 0 sugar. I also tried their Jasmine light milk tea and it was not so great with 0 added sugar and it did not have a strong tea aroma as the latte. It was a subtle scent in the Jasmine tea. I could barely taste the Jasmine! I'm going to try to add more sugar next time I'm going to get the drink. The next drink I got from there was the Jasmine lemon fruit tea blast with 30% sugar and regular ice. The drink was so good and potent with the lemon! It was not water downed and the tea had a very strong aroma. I loved the balance the lemon and tea gave in my mouth. I will definitely be getting this drink when I go to Tea Pulse. Now I tried the egg tarts and they are very creamy and tasty! They are also very fresh even in 1 week they did not grow mold or become stale! I was so shocked that I kept my egg tarts in the container for a week and they still tasted creamy and fresh. A little bit stiff but the egg tarts were very crunchy on the outside and deliciously yellow inside. I will definitely be getting more of these in the future. Overall, Tea Pulse wins my heart when it comes to their lattes and Jasmine lemon fruit tea blast! Those drinks will always be my to go to favorites whenever I visit there.

    Egg tarts

Walked past the store and got sucked in because I saw their sign for guava tea. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy. I was able to order from the kiosk - original egg tarts, lemon egg tarts, and one pink guava blast. I didn't end up eating the egg tarts right away but had them after I got home at night and they reheated well. The crusts were buttery and flaky. They custard was incredibly smooth and creamy with just the right consistency. I really enjoyed it and particularly liked the lemon one as I liked the hint of citrus which helped balance out the crust's heaviness. The pink guava blast was refreshing, not too sweet (I opted for less sugar) and had a good amount of guava taste with a hint of floral from the jasmine tea. It's also a flavor that's not commonly offered from other bbt spots so it's definitely a reason to return here. Overall, the tea and egg tarts are solid and location is great and convenient.

Pros: - quick service, sometimes drinks can take long if they're busy Cons: - I get why they don't allow for ice level changes for the jumbo size but, I still like my light ice Comments: - came during soft(?) opening and grand opening (photos are from soft opening), they had a BOGO during the grandopening as well as a lucky draw - my go-to drinks are the Jumbo Grape and Jumbo Ceylon Tea - there is decent amount of seating and it's more spacious than their Pell/Doyer St location, they have coffee beverages as well - gives a chill cafe/boba tea vibe

    Justine W.

Went during grand opening, they are currently doing bogo. I order the Amber Ceylon milk tea with the recommended 70% sugar. Love the taste of their teas. Can't go wrong with any of their drinks. It was busy but the drinks came out quick.

A kind of new tea/boba place with many stores popping up around NYC at once. Taste wise, I would put them among the top. They are very well known in China where they are from. The service is around the same as any of these new popular boba chains. The store area is small and there is usually a crowd waiting for their drinks. It feels mostly like a young people hang out place.

We came here under a strong recommendation for the egg tarts from friends we know and it certainly didn't disappoint. This is a relatively new location so it wasn't too busy. They had some cool looking pink guava tea drinks but we went straight for the egg tarts. After trying them, it's hands down the best egg tarts in town. The crust was flaky like a croissant and the middle egg tart was thick and creamy without being overly sweet. They cost about twice as much as regular egg tarts but are also twice as big. The seating area isn't huge but was just enough to sit down and enjoy our egg tarts.

Tea Pulse was running a promotion of buy a drink and two tarts, receive a gift. The gift were a horse magnet and lucky envelopes. I ordered the jumbo strawberry lime fruit tea and it was tasty. The tarts had a soft custard and a crispy crust. Space was bright and plenty of seating for customers.

    Lemon cloud tart

Saw a sign in the window that said "Tea & Coffee Doughnuts" only to find no doughnuts inside, lol. Placed my order at one of the two kiosks on the side. Selected the pink guava milk (with 30% sweetness instead of the recommended 70% and regular ice) and one of the lemon cloud tarts. There's a board that lets you know whose order number they are working on/completed. I received my order after a minimal wait and took it to go, packaged in a cute pink insulated slim tote. The order was well packaged to minimize any spilling during transport. The drink was fruity, floral deliciousness from the pink guava and jasmine tea base. There were these chestnut popping bobas at the bottom that brought a nice crunch texture. And a lime slice at the top rounded out the well balanced drink. The lemon cloud tart tasted like an egg tart and lemon meringue pie had a baby. The shell was crispy and the interior had a firm creaminess. It was sweeter than what I expect from an egg tart (there's a soft, squishy marshmallow on top), but I liked it. I would definitely go back to try other drink flavors and the regular egg tart.

Tea Pulse just recently opened this location and it was super packed even after their grand opening week. They have a small seating section and the store itself was bright and clean. I stopped by after some jewelry shopping and their fruit teas were some of the best I've had. I ordered the strawberry lemon blast and by their recommendation I went with the lower 30% sugar. It was still plenty sweet given that it comes with strawberry marmalade. My family also got fruit teas with 50% sugar and I thought it was still good, but too sweet for my taste. The drink looked so refreshing and I enjoyed it so much that a woman in the store asked me about it and ordered it on the spot and had the same experience as I did! I can't speak to their milk teas or Portuguese egg tarts and their prices are certainly higher like most boba places nowadays, but I might have to come back and get a jumbo size next time!

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We walked into a space where the interior is one of the biggest highlights, featuring floral décor, chandeliers, and cozy seating that gives the room a refined yet comfortable atmosphere. Despite being in the middle of Koreatown, it feels like a quiet escape from the busy streets outside, with a calm, polished energy that makes it equally suitable for catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply relaxing with dessert. The menu offers an extensive variety of teas alongside cakes, soufflés, waffles, and afternoon tea sets. We ordered the crepe cakes, particularly the matcha and purple yam varieties, both of which were among the standout desserts. The matcha crepe had a clean, earthy flavor that balanced well with the cream, while the purple yam offered a sweeter, more indulgent profile. The soufflés and lava cakes provide warmer options for those looking for something more substantial, and the tea selection is equally impressive, ranging from classic loose-leaf teas to milk teas and fruit-infused blends, allowing plenty of combinations to pair with desserts or light meals. There are also savory options like sandwiches and small plates, making it more than just a dessert café and giving the menu a broader appeal for a full afternoon tea experience. The atmosphere encourages lingering rather than rushing through a meal. Service is generally friendly, and the presentation of both the drinks and desserts adds to the experience. The café can become busy during afternoons and weekends, especially for afternoon tea service, so a short wait before being seated is not unusual. Once inside, however, the spacious layout and relaxed pace make it easy to settle in and take your time with the menu. Prince Tea House Ktown stands out as one of the better dessert cafés in the area thanks to its combination of beautiful décor, extensive tea selection, and well-executed desserts. It feels like a destination rather than simply a place to grab something sweet, and it is an easy recommendation for anyone looking to enjoy afternoon tea, celebrate a special occasion, or take a break while exploring Koreatown.
