((3.25 stars)) stopped by here to grab a cold brew on warm afternoon. it's a small quiet modern coffee / tea drink shop. very clean bright well-maintained interior. not much seating as it is a fairly small space--a few seats to be had. there is a touchscreen to order as this location seems to be a one-person operation as there was a single employee on-shift. ordered a cold brew with no ice. several minutes later the employee came from the back with my drink. took my drink and noticed there was a fair amount of ice in my cold brew...i mentioned to the employee that i ordered the cold brew without ice as it was an option in the order process. since the cold brew is "cold" because it is pre-batched and refrigerated, not sure why ice would be needed. she replied that this is how they make/serve it despite my order preference. it made no sense to me, but whatever..."the customer is always right" is truly dead in the touchscreen ordering era lol. the cold brew tasted fine, but i really hate when places employ these tactics to serve less cold brew and save $s by pouring ice into the cup. just use a smaller cups etc. and let the customer make the choice instead of doing tacky stuff like this. anyway, this Nitro Tea location doesn't serve a typical coffee shop menu (drip, Americanos, Cortados, etc), so you're limited to its menu of signature coffee and tea drinks. this place is fine if Nitro Tea's drinks are your jam. however, NYC is a competitive coffee and tea landscape especially in the East Village, so this place would not be my first choice in the neighborhood for caffeine. nothing is wrong with N25 Nitro Tea, but it isn't quite "my cup of tea." read more

I got the mango matcha. The mango puree was very chunky and did not mix in well. Once I slurped up all the mango chunks from the bottom, there was no mango flavor left in the rest of the drink. I wouldn't get it again, but I'd be willing to try something else from the shop if I happened to be walking by and in need of caffeine. read more

No wait on a Wednesday night but it's a very small shop, so not much seating. Staff was nice and fast. The Nitro cold brew teas were unsweetened and tasted like concentrated tea I left in the fridge. Not bad though and you definitely taste the tea quality. Pomelo was solid and very healthy. Their sugar levels are reasonable here so 50% was almost unsweetened so 100% would've been fine. The fruit matcha drinks were really good and had a generous amount of matcha. It balanced really well with the sweetness of the fruit in it! But the one thing I'd note is that you need to get the right combination of sugar with your tea for your preferences. My cousins got the lemon and passionfruit teas with 30% sugar and both said it was good but so so sour. Meanwhile my sister got the raspberry fruit tea and it was perfectly fine with 30% sugar. The drink being dependent on the fruit it's made with does make logical sense, but in my head I am slightly annoyed at the inconsistency just because it requires trial and error. After seeing ads on IG for their snowy jasmine milk tea and that they were running a BOGO free promo, I knew I had to stop by! 2 drinks for the price of 1 in this day and age where 1 bubble tea drink usually costs almost $10? Sign me up! You do have to walk down some steps to get to the store but I think there's a button or phone number you can call if you're unable to walk down the stairs. The shop is quite small. Not really somewhere you can linger for a long time. There were only 4 bar stool type seats with small tables. It's only been a few days since their grand opening and the staff seem to have everything under control. I didn't have to wait too long for my two drinks and they packed them into a bag too. The snowy jasmine tea is jasmine tea flavored whipped cream on top of jasmine milk tea. Wish they had oat milk options! The whipped cream was tasty and I could taste the jasmine tea. I got 100% sweetness though I think I might try a lower sugar level as it was a tiny bit too sweet for me. Compared to Molly Tea, I'd have to say that for me Molly Tea is still #1 (there's just something different/more fragrant) though N25's jasmine milk tea is a close second. read more

If I see a sign and it highlights Pandan, you know it'll lure me in. That's exactly what happened when I discovered N25 Nitro Tea during our annual December visit to NYC. I was intently wanting the Pandan Vietnamese coffee, and then bought 4-5 drinks because I HAD to try what they had to offer. Now every time we're in NYC and we're passing by N25 I gotta stock up and try multiple drinks. Snowy Jasmine is always a favorite for its warm and calming flavor. No lie I ordered one the first day of our trip. I had to swing back before leaving to have it on my ride home out of the city. I'm always craving and reordering their Shingen Jelly series. Both the mulberry and raspberry are favorites in this house. The first time we got the mulberry one we should've gotten two because my husband complained I didn't share. The er wu signature tea includes fresh fruit, especially with the passion fruit seeds in it that add a bright tang to the mix. Because we live out of state, we usually get a haul when we stay in East Village and bring it home. They actually store well for a few days which works well for our plans! One small underrated tip: before you let the team seal your drinks, take a look on the top. It's very pretty because they take time for the little details such as lime zest, torched fruit in some of the nitro coffees, and more. This place has been on my list to come and try their bubble tea and finally was around the hood. I saw a sandwich board outside promoting the Snowy Jasmine Green Tea, which I was thinking they were influenced by Molly Tea. I didn't get this, because I still have to go and try this drink at Molly and didn't want to get something like whip cream when I usually wouldn't go for it, so I'll just wait for the Molly version. Store is small and the girl was nice - I was torn on what to order, but I didn't want to get another coffee since I just had an egg cream coffee, so I decided to do their milk tea. I got their Oolong Milk Tea with Boba and 0% sugar and no ice and when I was thinking about getting their Thai Tea, I asked the lady what is Erwu and she said it translates to their shop's name - "25". I was like okay gotcha, but still didn't really understand if their Thai tea meant it was their take on Thai tea or what. I was thinking about the Seared Pomelo Fruit Tea, but she advised it was a slush, so since I was ordering no ice, glad she mentioned this to me. So I passed, because I wasn't going to drink the second drink right away and didn't want it to melt and not have a true sense of how it would taste like. Anyways, so I ended up getting the Taro Latte and didn't get sago, because they don't offer sago here. IMO- Oolong Milk Tea, can't really taste the the Oolong aspect and the boba here is okay. It wasn't like OMG, it's so good or anything. Like theirs lacked flavour, it was just a tasteless ball. The Taro Latte - okay this was a whomp whomp. The taro was hard to chew, so to me they didn't cook it enough and I think they should cut the taro into smaller pieces, because no way those pieces can be sucked up in the wide straws. I don't know, maybe their coffee drinks or slush are better? But they need to fix some things, because this is very disappointing especially for Taiwanese folks who started boba! read more

I never realized until I did some further research that this shop is a cross collab between N25 Nitro Tea and My's Banh Mi. I've never had either of the two so I got to experience both and would probably come back to try out other menu items. From the N25 Nitro Tea menu, I ordered a few drinks to try with my friends: Shingen Jelly Raspberry Fruit Tea ($8.50) - This was a best seller as I was told. Very refreshing and really liked the taste of the Shingen Jelly complementing the drink. Passion Fruit Nitro Fruffee ($7.50) - I've had nitro cold brew, but flavored nitro cold brew is a creation of its kind. Adding the passion fruit pulp may be a bit much, but I guess that's their way to showing that it's not artificial flavoring. I am a fan of this. Ruby Melon Fruit Tea ($8) - This is a seasonal drink the staff member recommended. Super refreshing. From the My's Banh Mi's menu, I got an order of the House Special Banh Mi ($14), which I also enjoyed. This consisted of Lemongrass Beef, BBQ Pork, Vietnamese butter, cilantro, carrots, daikon, and jalapeño. Emphasis on the jalapeño as they're a bit sneaky hiding in the sandwich. From this menu, this is also where you can order the popular Vietnamese Coffee that comes in Pandan-Coconut, Egg Cream, and Ube-Coconut, as well as the original. We came here after dinner to grab some drinks to finish the night off. The small shop is located in the middle of St.Marks with limited seatings and space. The price is reasonable for the amount of drink you are getting in the cup. They also had a buy one get one offer for the new spot opening elsewhere in the city. I got two drinks from the Shingen line - passionfruit and blackberry, both are delicious and refreshing, I personally prefer the passionfruit. Shingen jelly is like a raindrop cake from Japan, but it's in the drink instead. My partner got the hot taro latte and mango green tea(?) and they were also yummy. These were some of the best drinks I've had in New York City. The Matcha was such high-quality and you could choose the sweetness level, which I really appreciate because sometimes I find Matcha not sweet enough plus they use fresh strawberries, and it made such a big difference. Fruffee is so unique because it is a great balance of fruity flavors and coffee taste without making the drink bitter.
