Terrific and fun Chinese soft serve ice cream and boba tea spot that has found a home in the Union Square area. Just a $1.19 for a soft serve cone? Holy smokes what a deal. Very tasty and its in a real sugar cone. Drinks also very cheap in the $3-$5 range. A variety of sundaes and drinks to choose from. Crazy cheap! Some bench seating and you place orders by kiosks. Even when it was busy they moved quickly. Except for the jingle that they play over and over on repeat can drive you a bit nuts if you choose to sit there with your order - LOL! Best to grab and go. Still, the prices can't be beat.

I found another! Seems these cheap ice cream/ matcha drink places are opening all over the city. The service is friendly, they even smile. This time I was served from the register not the machine. They don't take cash so be prepared for digital. Once again I got the vanilla cone. My friend ordered the matcha ice cream. Jokingly his ice cream was taller than mine. I asked for a bit more and they made me a new cone over adding to the top. No idea why... but I don't argue and begin to figure out minds of boys around age 22. They also put it in a cone or a cup... this one is conveniently located by the movies and surrounded by many food places.

Super cheap ($1.69)! Service is super speedy. Soft serve is light and a little watery, but at least it has a noticeable matcha flavor. You can't beat this price in Manhattan

It's not to like about a place to great deals on ice cream, boba and other refreshing beverages? The staff is cordial and speedy. Drinks and soft serve are delicious. My favorite is the affogato (coffee) made with the soft serve. It's so creamy, rich and delicious without being too sweet. The matcha soft serve is tasty too, with real matcha flavor. i hope there will be a matcha version of the affogato in the future.

((4.25 stars)) MIxue has planted a newish location in Union Square. the dessert shop is neither big nor small but it is a clean, brightly lit space with an upbeat vibe. there is some seating but not much. this really isn't a place you hang out at during prime time hours as the place attracts a lot of local foot traffic bc it is in a good location on Fourth Avenue. during the last heat wave, i enjoyed a vanilla soft serve cone which was a nice cold treat on a humid sweltering day. the ice cream is smooth, creamy, and possessed the right amount of sweet. it was easy to walk with and eat as it didn't immediately melt as i walked into hot weather. also enjoyed a matcha soft serve cone on another day during the heatwave and the matcha ice cream actually tasted like matcha in the form of a sweet creamy smooth ice cream. ordering from the touch screen was easy-peasy. ice cream cones are listed in the "sundaes" section of the onscreen menu. most of the menu is made up of different dessert-y juice Boba drinks. i believe you can order from the people at the counter but the touchscreens seemed liked the easiest route. the service is quick and friendly-ish. however i found the getting the order wasas smooth as the staff don't have a microphone to call orders and their voices get lost in the store music or if there is a crowd of people inside. what ends up happening is customer or staff confusion at the counter. other than that, this is good addition to Union Square as casual dessert option.

Mixue finally opened in Union Square. And somehow both my husband and I were trying it for the first time. Grape with Taro Balls I can see why this is one of their top sellers. I ordered it with no sugar and thought it was perfect. The taro balls were my favorite part--small, chewy, and easy to eat. Would order again. Coconut Mango with Taro My husband skipped milk tea and went with mango instead. Probably the right choice in this heat. Light, refreshing, and very summery. Matcha Soft Serve Good matcha flavor, surprisingly large, and a great value. Prices are really affordable. Lots of items around $1.99. The store is spacious and comfortable. If you're around Union Square and need something cold on a hot day, it's worth stopping by. For me, the grape drink with taro balls was the winner.

Looking for a quick small delicious snack. Come by this store. Prices are responsible cheap. Regular vanilla ice cream waffle cone cost $1.19. Matcha cone is $1.69. The vanilla ice cream has a hint of white rabbit flavor. Just tastes like the white rabbit candy. The matcha ice cream has a bold matcha flavor, very creamy. They also have drinks and merchandise. Comeby for a treat.

Super cute store with a fun mascot to take pics with. I ordered the green lemon tea and my cousin ordered a pink drink with jellies. I didn't love mine (very lemony for my taste) but hers was good. Maybe I should try a milk tea next time! Service is quick (via the screen order) and I appreciate that there are monitors to tell you when your order is ready.

Everything is so delicious and reasonably priced here! The drinks are around $4 which would be double the price at other places. I got the peach mango drink and it was very refreshing and good. I love the fruit pieces at the bottom and how you can adjust the sugar and ice level. Everything comes out quickly and the workers are always nice. There isn't a whole lot of seating or room to stand around because of how popular this place is.

Matcha cone $1.84 price with tax i think

I got their Matcha cone today . I think the price was $1.84 total with tax . If you have cash order at the counter . I wanted to get their cocoa cone but they didn't have that flavor that day. The Matcha green cone is a bit bitter when you first taste it , but as with other Mixue cones , by the time you get to the bottom you are really enjoying it . It's not too sweet. Definitely good on a hot day . I'll try their strawberry sundae next time .

Happened to stumble upon this location. The whole process was pretty fast with ordering and receiving my item. The affogato latte was tasty and decently priced! My only gripe was the Mixue song constantly being replayed the entire time I was there.

That matcha soft serve is SOOOO good. Perfect on a hot summer day and it's less than $2!! The line is fast so get one if you are in the area.

A Mixue finally opened by Union Square. Soft serve Ice cream for roughly $2, and fairly cheap drink around $3-$5. We find a few minutes of the day during work to grab a quick pick me up. The only problem is the annoying music that is in a constant loop. It'll get stuck in your head for the entire day.

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items.
