I highly despise extreme sweet drinks for the high sugar content volume and agree with former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's limiting sugar level initiatives consumption of sugary drinks. Yes, I control my sugar intake level. However, I requested 30% sugar but the cashier associate disregard my request and inputted in my order as "less sugar." I thought that they would not be able to make any drinks up to Taiwan's standards but that was not the case at all. First of all, I appreciate how many options they have that are just pure milk with no caffeine in it which is perfect for those who are sensitive to caffeine. I ordered the Herbal Jelly Boba Milk and it was great. The caramelized boba mixed with the not sweet at all milk was the perfect counteracting agent. I wish the herbal jelly was a bit softer and carried more flavor but it was still a great addition to the drink. Also even though I got the smaller option, I felt so full afterwards. This is a really unique boba, and it just isn't for me. On a Thursday night in the East Village, this spot was really busy. While the drink and desserts are 5 stars, they lost a star for me due to their service. During my visit, a customer's drink slipped out of their hands when grabbing it from the counter, which caused a mess. The employees didn't seem eager to help at all and continued with making drinks while this poor guy was cleaning up the mess off himself and the floor. Eventually, an employee came out to mop it up. I was a bit appalled that they didn't even offer to replace the drink for the paying customer. He ended up paying for a drink that he didn't have and had drink stains all over his clothes, poor guy. I was disappointed to see that the employees were not sympathetic nor helpful at all. On top of that, I asked for a bigger cup to put my soft serve because it was melting faster than I could eat it, but they charged me a quarter. Really??
