Best work cafe!! I love it here -- lots of pastry and drink options with very comfortable seating and reliable WiFi.

Just want to preface by saying that competition is extremely fierce and tough in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint neighborhood. There's so many unique mom and pop great cafes and bakeries with a strong neighborhood camaraderie. I was really excited that Mokafe opened in Greenpoint since their location in Astoria is still a long trek for me from Greenpoint. I've been eyeing their kunafe chocolate all over social media and came here near opening around 8am on a weekend. I was disappointed in a few things sadly...the radio silent (cold) customer service, the lattes, and the croissants. The mocha and pistachio lattes were made with syrup (I'm not a fan of syrup with coffee as I can replicate this process at home and Starbucks uses syrups) and the croissants were extremely stale and felt a week old. The barista felt almost annoyed at our presence and didn't seem happy that we came in. I'd suggest only coming here for the kunafe chocolate. I hope they can improve their customer service since that's generally an easy fix. A place with a lot of potential - I hope they can improve so they can get good business in this neighborhood. It was an overall 2 star experience but I really like supporting local mom and pop businesses as well as putting them on the map, but this was a brutal $30 spent in really syrupy lattes and stale croissants.

I passed this place many times and finally decided to go. I had no idea it was a chain (never heard of it before). I got the cardamom latte and two pastries. The latte was very good. Small for the price, but very good. I got the Danish, which I loved. I got the kunafa croissant. I had no idea what kunafa is/was, but it looked interesting. It was fine, very rich though. All together, nice pastries. A nice place to grab a bougie latte. Not the cheapest place if you want bare bones coffee and a pastry, but a good choice if you want a fancier choice. Limited seating inside.

This is a cute cafe in Williamsburg! Despite being small it has some seating inside and outside! There are a lot of non caffeinated drinks to choose from - the mango strawberry refresher was very good - especially on a hot day! The pistachio latte was nice as well but didn't taste much different from a latte

Apple pastry with the mushroom brew. I am not familiar with all the new names yet.

A few weeks ago I walked in to the café, then walked right out, when I was told the price of a mushroom coffee. At 83 years old, it seems that only yesterday a complete lunch in Greenpoint cost $5.00. Today, after my session at the YMCA, I said to myself, if I don't try it, I will never know what the mushroom coffee experience will be. Danna took my order and the time to explain, as well as she could, the taste. I decided to splurge and ordered an apple pastry as well as the so called coffee. I must say, I am so glad that I reproved myself, because the delicious taste of the drink, which was like a cappuccino, and the flaky apple pastry warmed my heart. The price is equal to the quality of the product. I will be very happy to bring friends, who visit me in Greenpoint, here as a treat. Danna, who served me, is a congenial and heartwarming person, who personifies the enjoyable experience in this beautiful first class café.

this cafe has some outdoor and indoor seating but is very limited! the viral kunafa chocolate was actually worth it and i highly recommend trying it! it's a bit sweet for me personally. the cracked chocolate iced latte was so fun to crack in the cup - thought the coffee was average but was a fun experience. the barista was very nice and helpful!

Chagaccino...not overly sweet but was great.... after drinking this u will see all that sugar is not necessary.

There's the main seating area and then two offshoot lounges, which aren't quite as cozy but offer different levels of quiet and ambience. I love all the random décor, antique signs, old arcade games as tables, a million lamps. It's like what nook is going for but you can actually sit down on a comfy couch most of the time. The guy working the counter has a lot of energy and clearly loves being there. The PB banana smoothie was yummy, very thick so could use a spoon. Mushroom toast was a bit pricey but you did get a lot of food for your money, the focaccia was crunchier than expected but all around a nice cafe bite. I just appreciate how this is such a gathering spot where you can watch bk life play out while working, it had a different energy from a lot of places in the area.

I first ordered a chai latte and he said I could do two different syrups so I got the pumpkin and salted maple, though I was worried about it being too sugary so he suggested I could just do half a pump of each. He asked me what the name of the order would be and I said "Aida" (the phonetic spelling is ah-EE-dah). And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.
