These guys are the ambassadors of cycling. I used to ride a lot, but have fallen into petroleum sloth. I found a decent hybrid bike at a garage sale and finally brought it in for them to tune up. I'd spent twice as much on tune-ups at other cyclery establishments, but Mojo Wheels was very reasonable and thorough. They even swapped out my pedals, and fixed a cable that had come out of its holder. They took time to show me some features on my Trek and bring me up to speed on modern technology with out making me feel like a geezer, which, face it, is what I am! Hydraulic disk brakes! Oh brave new world! I bought a SMITH helmet there for what I would have paid online. They have a knowledgeable staff that are passionate about cycling, and patient with newbies. They sell some high-end bikes, but will get your old Schwinn Tornado in working condition if you drop it off and give them the time to fix it. I would personally like to thank Bob,Mike and the rest of the mojo crew for dialing in my suspension. Met Bob at Trestle bike park and he recommend I change out my ohlins shock for the Fox shox. Man, they were dead on! Much better and a safer ride for sure. I am relatively new to down hill and these guys know what's up!! I appreciate their honesty and patience. What a great bunch of guys. I shopped around a bit and decided to check them out, mostly because of the brands they carry. Mojo Wheels is very friendly bike shop that caters to all sorts of people. I am a desk jockey looking to revive what used to be a favorite hobby (this means big budget, no skills). They were very helpful and provided some great suggestions up and down my price range. I came in right before closing, took a quick test ride, and was able to get a screaming deal on a great bike. They even threw in a sweet water bottle. I made an appointment and it took two weeks for them to "fix" my shifter cable and it only shifts into 9 of the 11 gears now. I had to call them to remind them my bike was there. They only have one person working at a time and it's either a sales person or mechanic, never both. I will never come back here. Don't waste your time. I'm so mad that I have to take my bike somehwere else to get fixed correctly after it was in this shop for weeks. read more

MOJO A GOGO!!!! Went in on a Sunday before Labor Day and asked if they could straighten out some slightly bent wheels...guy said ten bucks a wheel come back in an hour :-)! I was so impressed with the customer service and friendly attitude and they didn't try to sell me a thing. I asked about some new rubber and tubes and they had me hooked up in less than five minutes...and there were plenty of other customers as well (now I know why) My bike is better than when I bought it. Mojo wheels is one of the best mountain bike and BMX shops in the city. I have been shopping here for the past 8 years and one thing has remained constant, dedication to the sport. This is the shop where you go and get your custom ordered downhill bike built. This is the shop where you find all those brands and frames that other dealers say they don't carry. If you like gnarly straight out of the annual bike guide selection then this is your shop. Be careful its hard to go in there and not drop a few thousand becuase they have your dream rig in stock. If you are in the market for a great mountain bike, need some sound advice on what types of parts/bikes would work for you then i recommend going here. I noted they carried Iron Horse, Jamis, Titus, Santa Cruz, Specialized, Gary Fisher, and thats probably not all. While I can't afford much of anything at Mojo Wheels, they do carry mostly top end mtn bikes and biking gear. It's all pretty good stuff which of course, always costs more than the low end stuff. I was there this past weekend to find spokes to replace a broken for my Mavic rim on a Yeti bike. I'd just had an aggravating experience at Bike Source only trying to buy replacement spokes and was hoping the guys at Mojo would be able to help me. (See my review of Bike Source dated 7/21/2014). The guys at Mojo are always really cool even if I'm just there to drool over the primo mtn bike stock they have on the floor. They don't even mind that. This time, they looked at the spoke and said "No problem. Want us to put it on for you also?". Now THAT'S how to talk to this customer! At first I was just going to do it myself, so they took my wheel to the back to match the spoke size. What a concept! Then I changed my mind and said to go ahead and put it on since it would be faster and I could get out to ride. It took 5 min for them to do it, brought me out 5 more spokes as requested and didn't charge me for putting in the replacement spoke. Guess what? They just won me as a customer for that simple little thing. Bike Source could learn a lot from these guys. The cost of the spokes wasn't much less, like a $1.63 + tax I think, but the point was the way they made me feel when I went in there versus how Bike Source makes me feel when I go there. If I'm just a number to your business, I'll insure that number is zero. As in zero revenue. read more

I'm a hardcore enduro/dh guy that has been going to mojo for years, but the groms that work there now obviously don't ride. I've never seen any of these amateurs on a trail! The guys that used to work there represented the best Denver had to offer, super sick riders, great service, and professional attitudes, but now it's run by a bunch of fat hacks that just walk around the store doing NOTHING! Waited 20 minutes for anybody to even acknowledge me, only to have them tell me it's gonna be a week before they can even get to it. Wtf, it was a ghost town, and there were at least five dudes working. It would've only taken fifteen minutes to fix. Five minutes less than I wasted there before anyone talked to me! Avoid this place like the plague, I've probably spent ten G's here and they treated me like a frickin roadie! NOT THE SAME MOJO! Looks like myself and everyone I know will be finding another shop to throw money at! read more

I had recently moved out to the Denver area and had brought a bike with me that I knew needed repair. After not getting a warm fuzzy through another shop, I decided to go with Mojo, with the notion that I wanted a 'grass roots' shop to start building rapport with. The repair was a potential warranty, or so I was led to believe. I found out that the part did not fall under warranty and it would come out of pocket. I still decided on Mojo given my initial idea of starting a 'relationship' with a local shop. I was told what the cost would be and was asked if I wanted Mojo to take care of the install or if I would handle it. I have bike shop and additional mechanical experience under my belt and expressed that I will take care of the install. Upon getting the phone call that my bike was done and ready for pickup, I asked for clarification - was the part in and ready for pickup or did he just tell me that my bike was DONE and ready for pickup. Mojo went ahead and took care of installing the part on my bike, against the original discussion about me taking care of it. I wasn't TOO upset at this point given that I would NOT be charged for labor, and it would save me some time in the long run. However, while this misunderstanding, miscommunication, was a bit unnerving, to add insult to injury, the part that was replaced was discarded WITHOUT consulting me to ask what I wanted to happen with it. After discussing with an employee or two over the course of about a week, and FINALLY getting an answer that yes, the part was discarded by the mechanic. There was never ANY explanation why they took it upon themselves to do so. I have worked in a shop in the past and these things are generally and usually presented to the customer for their discretion. I had asked sometime early on about the part being removed and It had even been explained to me during this conversation that being that the part was NOT a warranty, the part should have stayed with the bike for the owner to decide. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the overall attention to this repair from the get go and that unfortunately, while I wanted to start building rapport with a local shop, I will more than likely NOT be returning to Mojo for any future business. The employee I had on the line NEVER once made any attempt to change my mind. This is just poor customer service/retention in my opinion and I have and will continue to make every effort to make sure people know about my experience and I will NOT recommend this shop in the future. read more
