TriBella - Fitting rooms - Bikes Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I heard about this store over a year ago, but as I wasn't interested in triathlons, I never stopped in. Fast forward to this year and suddenly I am training for a triathlon and needed all sorts of gear. Tris require triple the gear, so lots of $$ go out for this sport. As I was nearing my date for my triathlon, I knew I needed to get a trisuit to practice in for my triathlon. I'd looked online and had an idea of prices, as well as tried some on at REI and Runner's Roost. However, trisuits are made for stick thin women, of which I am not, so I was in need of larger sizes. A sales person at Athleta sent me to TriBella, as she noted they had a great selection. I drove to TriBella and realized it was just across the street from my favorite, Rooster & Moon. Found parking and wandered inside. On that Saturday, they'd just hosted their own sprint triathlon and they opened a little later, but they were open. I found the sale/clearance rack (which means I'm in heaven) and found lots of sizes. Everything on the clearance rack was 50% off, which included running, swim, cycle gear and trisuits and tri kits. I tried on several suits and found one that I really liked. Decided to buy it along with a pair of workout shorts and some other stuff. The service was super friendly and helpful. I've since gone back a few more times, purchased a second tri kit, signed up for their mailing list to attend other events, as well as browse about. In addition to workout wear for all three disciplines, they are a full-service bike shop and sell different bars, gus, gels, etc. Basically anything you need to swim, bike or run, it can be found at TriBella. I stopped in here, actually on my way to another business- and was greeted by a very enthusiastic owner. This store has recently opened to cater exclusively to women triathletes, and they offer a full bike shop, bike accessories, swim suits and running clothes. I do wish they offered running shoes... but they are fairly new, opened for only about a month, so they may be added... or I didn't see them. The owner is very friendly and wants to offer great service for women athletics. He sold me on his dedication in about 10 minutes. The owner has been in the athletic industry a long time and has a great knowledge about biking, running, etc. While I was there, a cycling group stopped by and it was evident they were supportive of the store. I hope to return soon and see what deals they happen to have. read more

TriBella was recommended to me for a basic (yet much needed) tune up for my 1973 Schwinn Suburban I recently acquired. I felt a little out of my element, never having been into a bike store that looked so fancy! James was eager to help me, and had a warm and caring personality. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does. Twenty minutes later of meticulous fine tuning, and at an incredibly affordable price, I was pedaling away on a bike that felt brand new. I am not much of a Yelp reviewer....but some times a place is so above and beyond that they deserve every bit of recognition that you can provide. Tribella is that place. Here we are in the midst of the COVID lockdown and it was time for my annual bike tune. I dropped it off and unfortunately the team found that my Zip front wheel was cracking internally. They negotiated w Zip for a half price set to replace. Well fast forward 5 weeks and we are still waiting on the wheel set. So what do these guys do? They have me bring down my old bike, flip the wheels and cassette and find me some spare brakes just to help me keep training. Once the parts finally come in they will have me bring it back, reverse the work, and set up the new wheel set. This is above and beyond level customer service. It is not their fault that we are in a pandemic, that components are taking forever to show up, but they figured out a way to keep me rolling. First, the good...John the manager is so nice, personable & made excellent recommendations. Sean at the Denver Fit Loft gave me an awesome bike fit on my new Ventum. I'm never been so comfortable on a long ride. Awesome! Now, for the bad...I brought my $13K brand new bike to them for a build. Based on the reviews here, and having taken my old bike here a few years ago for a tune up in the past I decided to try them again. My fit was completed at 5:30pm on a Fri. The mechanic, who is also the owner, needed to make a few adjustments based on the fit & finish the build. He recommended that I don't cut a piece at the top for "better resale value," but that would have meant that all of the wiring on my "super bike" would have been exposed w/out the top cover that would be missing if that part of the bike wasn't cut down to fit my specific measurements. It seemed odd to me, & I was at a loss for words, & finally Sean said that it needed to be cut down. I was happy that he spoke up. That change took James an extra 30 min & I wondered if he was just eager to leave on a Fri night. Had he just told me that because my fit was later that he would need to finish in whatever time-frame he needed then I would have been okay w/that. I'm in customer service I certainly understand that it's not all about me. I took my bike home, eager to ride the following am. As I left to ride I went 20 feet & realized that I couldn't shift at all. What?!? I went back in the house & changed bikes. I called the store when they opened to tell them & they recommending me bringing my bike back, which is not exactly convenient. I did my ride on my other bike & brought the bike back that afternoon. They originally told me that it may be about 45 minutes & it turned into me waiting for over 1 hr, only to be told to leave it there because a wire on my shifters was pinched & it would take more time to fix. I ride my Cervello on my trainer during the week. So I only rode my Ventum 8 times. Then I was riding on a Sat. on a training ride. 55 minutes into my 3 hour ride & was going down a hill. All of the sudden I hear a loud noise, my wheel stops, I can't pedal, the back of my bike fishtails and I quickly try and break and then unclip. It's a miracle that I didn't crash. When I look to assess what happened with my bike, my entire derailer fell into the spoke of my BRAND NEW Enve wheels & there are 3 spokes completely broken. I had no idea how that happened or what exactly went wrong. I called my coach who is a very experienced bike mechanic (used to work as a mechanic in a bike shop for 10 years,) previous Cat 1 cyclist & regular AG winner in the 70.3 and Ironman distance. His exact words were that, "There is NO way that could have happened if the limit switch was adjusted at the time that the bike was built." I proceeded to ask follow-up questions to ensure that I was not at all at fault because people are quick to blame when they don't want to be responsible for costs associated w/their mistakes. I asked 3 other mechanics at 3 other shops & they confirmed the same info. When I called James, his response wasn't even empathetic. It was "I don't see how this could have happened. I've never heard of this. Because it's been over 90 days we can't be responsible" He also said that the problem with the Ceramic Speed detailers is that it's not meant to be used with the Shamano components. None of that was "disclosed" to me at the time of build. I spent over $2000 in the shop only to be told, "Sorry for your problem," with not the tiniest bit of empathy that my new $2500 wheel was broken & my $800 derailer was ruined after less than 10 rides. I will never return here. I'm lucky that their negligence didn't cause a horrific crash that day because had I not been very experienced rider w/12 yrs of bike handling skills something worse would have likely happened. In summary...if you're buying shoes or getting a fit - go for it! I wouldn't trust anything to the mechanic. read more

This was the store I was hoping to stop in at when I was on my own. I was looking fro a co-ed tri store while I was with my fiancé and ended up here instead of colorado triathlon company. Turns out, they were both inside. I had heard that TriBella was great for women with curves. The woman in the front was very helpful. Unfortunately since it was almost the end of the season, there were not a lot of one piece options for my to try, but luckily the one of the two fit perfectly. My fiancé was in the back room at Colorado triathlon company and also got great service looking for this first trisuit as well. We were extremely happy with the service. We haven't tried our trisuits out yet, but would recommend this store based on the customer service and that they carried my size. :) read more

I am blown away by this shop. I'll caveat this by saying I'm not a hard core cyclist. But two times in the past year have been riding my bike up Bannock and realized something wasn't right with my bike. After recently having two bikes stolen, I was just riding around a beater in town. The first time I had a tire issue. This time someone seems to have kicked in my back tire in an attempt to steal it. Both times I popped into TriBella randomly and had the most amazing customer service. The staff was quick to help me out and not even charge me one of the times - just counted it as a good deed. Talk about doing little things to brighten someone's day when something was going wrong. This shop is fantastic! read more

As an avid athlete when it comes to guarding the couch, I usually avoid specialized seeming shops but I needed a bike light. When I came in I was warmly received, easily found a light and when I got outside to put it on my bike, was invited to come in so they could put it on for me! The battery didn't work and they replaced it, put my bike on the rack and proceeded to add air to the tires, oil to the chain and fixed my brakes. It was amazing. When I came back because I couldn't figure out the light they gave me another battery and made it work. Very sweet people, non-intimidating for women athletes (of all sports/skill levels) and overall, wonderful experience. read more

We were passing through from the airport to Wyoming and stopped in. I bought some triathlon shorts and a top in my signature color: pink! I will be wearing it for the first time this weekend in NC and know that I will be the cutest one out there! (Since I won't be the fastest, might as well be the cutest!) The couple running the store were super friendly and you can tell that they sincerely love what they do and want to help! Wish I lived closer to make this my go-to store! TriBella is a great multi-sport store with amazing owners. Liz and James go out of their way to help customers find what they need. They are equally helpful for complete newbies as seasoned competitors. Trying on wetsuits is really awkward - especially the first time, but Liz talked me through it beforehand and even through the curtain when my arm got stuck! While the apparel in the current store is for the ladies (guys - they're also opening a store just for you, they work on bikes for men and women - James was a mechanic for pro teams and knows his stuff. One of the things I love about TriBella is that they also will tell you when you don't need something -- and to me that's a sign of integrity. read more

I have been riding for over 40 years and this is the best bike shop with whom I have ever dealt. While they cater to the female athlete, I felt very much at home as an older, male rider. James even joked that males want a rename to "TriFellas" when we are there. I bought a Cervelo bike from them and was treated like I was their best and only customer. James values customer service and quality over all aspects of his business. His history in the business speaks volumes about his knowledge of bicycles, his business acumen, and his technical competence. While I have been an amateur repairman of my own bikes for decades, watching his smooth, fast, and effortless technical skills was like watching a choreographed dance. I rode my old bike to their shop. While I was out on a test ride of the Cervelo, he did some minor tune-ups on my old bike without being asked. After I purchased the new bike and he was completing the set-up, he looked at my old water bottle cage and said that it was not befitting the lines and color of the new bike and threw that it. A small dollar amount but a huge statement on the personal attention and business philosophy of this unique shop. My best advice: if you are a bicycle enthusiast, do not buy a bike without checking them out. If you go to TriBella first, you will probably not go elsewhere. Thanks to all of the folks at TriBella! We went to multiple bike shops this week in search for a new bike with little assistance until we arrived at Tribella. I was impressed with the customer service. Karen and Daniel were very helpful in picking out the bike based off my price point and needs. They did not push a sale or recommend additional items that were not needed. I have never felt compelled to write a yelp review (and this is my first). Stumbled upon this place months back looking for a specific helmet and was greeted with such warmth. They did not have the specific helmet in stock that I was looking for (as it is was a discontinued helmet from Giro), however was asked what my helmet size was. The owner informed me his wife owned that helmet and that he had it in the back room if I'd like to try it on just to see if it was a good fit. This struck me as something that someone from a shop that just wants people to enjoy bicycles would do. Months later, I noticed what seemed to me to be a crack in my carbon framed bicycle. Based on my initial interaction with tribella, I felt like of all denver bicycle shops, the folks here would offer me an honest, unbiased opinion (from people who also just want to ride bikes) and not try to convince me a new frame was my only option if they concluded otherwise. After speaking with the shop for a while about cracks in paint vs actual structural compromises to carbon, I left saving a pretty penny and able to do what I'd planned to do that day: enjoy my bicycle. Whenever I AM in need of a new frame, or really anything that keeps my pedals revolving, this will be the shop that I go to. read more

I stopped in here to grab a few quick items for an upcoming race. Everyone was very nice and helpful in the store, the items were quality, and parking was easy. I guess I'm sort of confused though, why keep a separate men's and women's store? Yes, I am sure there are females more comfortable buying a wetsuit or tri clothing from women. But to have a cursive and pink logo all over everything is a little bit 1960s. Also, who decides which items go in which store? I asked if there was another tri store next door, and the staff member said "Yeah but it's a men's store," like I shouldn't go over there. If I went to the men's store next door, would there be a bigger selection of race belts or water bottles in different colors? Or maybe some tri clothing that isn't pink? I think if it were me, I'd make a larger female section in one main store, with enough female staff there to answer questions specific to us. Anyways, I'm glad the store is here, it is a nice place, and sorry for my gender rant, but just sayin. It's 2017 peeps. read more

We have such distinct differences of opinion on what happened here, I would have to continue to say do not trust this establishment. After having a Brand New wet suit for less than 24 hours we found a small tear. They said to bring it in and they would talk to the manufacturer and at a minimum patch it and get it back to me. They did kindly allow me to use a "rental" suit while mine was being repaired as we had a race upcoming. It was not a new suit - it had been used before. I did not hear back from them for some time and when I contacted them to ask about the status of my repair, they told me to keep the used rental, and they repaired my brand new suit and put it into their rental stock. I don't believe it is good customer service to not get back to people, and to basically trade a new suit for a used suit. It is also not good customer service to hang up on a customer on the telephone. read more
