Bought some bindings last season in anticipation of getting some skis new for my son this season…read more I've never used the bindings (just sat on my shelf) . It's now time to buy some new skis for my son, but the brake on the bindings is too wide for the skis he wants. I asked if I could swap out the bindings (never used) for the same ones with a more narrow brake. Without even a thought, they told me it's a hard no because of their one year policy. I understand there are policies in place, but this is a pretty easy way to keep a customer satisfied and now I will not be buying new skis or anything else from this company ever again.

Not only did they replace the tubes, but showed me a couple of tricks to make it easier for me next time. My tires exploded in my car because the tech overfilled my tires. Then, they tried to blame my tires instead of taking responsibility. Oh, and I have tubless tires, which means the liquid got all over my car. Next, they claimed they couldn't fix my squeaky brakes because I need a special type of brake pad. Just took them to another shop and they were able to swap them out. Lastly, their tune-ups literally take weeks to complete. How is that even possible?! Really cute store setup, but honestly, complete airheads fixing bikes who actually know nothing. I might as well try to fix my bike instead. Go somewhere else on Colfax to get bike repair services. While browsing the Lake Cycling website, I was directed, based on my zip code, to Tri Bella as a recommended retailer. When I arrived, the front door didn't open, so I had to use a side entrance, which led directly into the mechanic area. I stood there unsure if I should walk further in or wait. After a while, one of the mechanics (a tall guy) asked what I needed. I explained I was looking for wide road cycling shoes, and he suggested the Lake brand. I said that sounded great and asked if I could see some in person. He told me they didn't have any in stock but could order them. I explained that I preferred to try them on before purchasing especially since I could easily order them online myself, and the Lake website already provides detailed information. At that point, another mechanic, who had been listening to the conversation, chimed in and said, "Maybe Lake shoes are not for you." That comment, combined with the confusing entrance and overall unwelcoming experience, made for a very poor first impression. As someone who owns several bikes and is passionate about cycling, I expected a more helpful and professional approach. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning.

Instead of trying to adjust a bike to my body. Charles did an extremely thorough job fitting me on the fitting machine. He then recommend three different bikes for me. I decided to purchase my BMC from Tribella, though there was no pressure to buy from them. They built my bike quickly when the bike arrived, and completely fit the new bike for me based on the measurements. After riding new bike for 1,000 miles (2 months) it developed a creaking sound. I took it back to the shop and John and James looked at the bike immediately, no questions asked about payment. They fixed the bike for free and were mostly concerned about me getting back riding my bike! They have been a great resource for finding essential bike gear (computers, etc.). If you're looking for real, experience bike technicians who know their stuff, look no further than Tribella.
