I am finally writing this review because I recently went to a real bike shop. Wow, what a…read moredifference. This store lacks the professionals needed to provide quality service. My tires exploded in my car because the tech overfilled my tires. Then, they tried to blame my tires instead of taking responsibility. Oh, and I have tubless tires, which means the liquid got all over my car. Next, they claimed they couldn't fix my squeaky brakes because I need a special type of brake pad. Just took them to another shop and they were able to swap them out. Lastly, their tune-ups literally take weeks to complete. How is that even possible?! Really cute store setup, but honestly, complete airheads fixing bikes who actually know nothing. I might as well try to fix my bike instead. Go somewhere else on Colfax to get bike repair services. You won't be disappointed!

Well, we were miles away from home, we all live near downtown. I saw this shop was about a mile away and we hauled the bike with the flat tire over hoping we might be able to get a fix to make our event. Even though we came in a few minutes before close, Peter got us fixed up so we could keep riding since we were far away from home. He first tried an affordable solution to see if that would work so we could go with the cheap option which we appreciated. We ended up needing a new tube and he was able to help us out when we were in a jam. Great shop. Super friendly and helpful. Thanks for staying after hours so we wouldn't be stranded Peter!

After I ordered I found the helmet elsewhere with actual CM sizes listed and realized L might fit me better. I contacted Epic Cycles right away asking them to hold the package. They said it has been flagged as fulfilled so they can't open the package at that point. It seemed from tracking and their wording that the package was physically still there. I was told to order the 'L', and I can send back the 'M' for a refund as soon as I get it. so I did. When I emailed them that I am ready to return the 'M' I was told they can't take it back since it was on sale. they knew this when they told me to order the other size and return the wrong one. First it seemed they were lazy about stopping the original package, then they lied to me directly about returning the wrong size. Deceptive to get me to order a second from them. Do not trust this bike shop. they have no integrity.

I went there with a bike that I bought second hand new which was a POS (yes, piece of S*%t), but I have to live with it for awhile since I just bought it. PJ went out of his way to give it the attention it needed to make it safe on the road, by pointing out the adjustments it needed, as well as taking the extra time to show me out to remove and replace the quick release front wheel. PJ will absolutely go above and beyond in service. His shop is super neat and clean and he does have some nice bikes for sale as well. Yes, I learned my lesson PJ, spending money on a good bike is worth it, and when I spent not much more than my great Trek bike from 1996 I should have known better (and waited to sell that bike since it still worked like a champ....just not the beach cruiser I needed in future). Definitely go here and you will not be sorry!

Due to Covid, enter from the warehouse side and follow the rules. PJ greeted me and got right to getting me what I needed. It's a small space, but has the essentials and is extremely clean and organized. PJ has a lot of experience as well so he had useful tips and recommendations for taking care of my bike.

Searched for alternatives and called before making the mistake to lug the bike in/out of car again. The associate that answered was warm and could get us in right away. Currently, the boom in bike sales and repair due to the pandemic has overwhelmed every shop, including them. But understand that their current operating procedure is yet another reflection of their dedication to each and every customer, rather than trying to cash in quick. I was blessed enough with timing to visit before the bike craze hit. Purchased bikes for my whole family (4) and will be a customer for life. I may have had equal experiences with other businesses, but never better. Every employee (including the owner) is hard working, patient, knowledgeable and dedicated to you. They helped me throughout the process of ordering, and when I ordered the bike, they remembered who I was when they packed the bike! They wrote me a message in the box (handwritten) and when I received the box, I was really surprised by the nice note. The bike was packed well. I didn't have any problems with assembly. The bike was relatively easy to assemble. When I bought the bike, there was a promotion for a seat bag, water bottle, air pump, and bike tools. All of those items were included with the bike when I received the bike. Upon riding the bike, I realized that it needed some adjustments so I took the bike to the local bike shop. They made the adjustments and the bike rode fine. I contacted GiantNerd in chat and told them about the adjustments. They were very nice and understanding when I explained my concerns. They gave me a credit in the same amount of the invoice of the bike shop. I thought this was really fair. GiantNerd takes the time to listen to the customer, help during the ordering process, and is open for feedback and reviews. I left a positive review on GiantNerd's website as well.

I live just a few minutes from Derby and decided to stop in on a Saturday about an hour before closing time. The interior was much bigger than I expected, and the floor is packed with bikes, gear, clothing, and other types of equipment. I was greeted right when I walked in and explained that it's been a while since I've owned a bicycle, so there has been a lot of advancement that I've not really kept up on. I don't know much about the details of biking other than the basics, but Bill (at least that was the name on my receipt lol) was super nice and explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. After a little back and forth, I ended up purchasing a Specialized bike in a really pretty sage green color. Bill explained the warranties, their commitment to servicing their bicycles, and even let me know that they're always happy to help or answer questions that come up after you begin getting more acquainted with the bike. While bicycles have become a lot more expensive since the last time I owned one, I'm very happy with my purchase! I took it out that evening and it was a ton of fun. The seat is a bit uncomfortable, as many probably are, but I'm so happy to finally have a good bike that fits me. Definitely appreciated the help and I would recommend this place to anyone that might be in the market for a new bike!
