Customer support seems non-existent so far and it has been three weeks since I received my bike on 1/10/26. I received my bike with a bent rear derailleur hanger which rubbed on the rear wheel spokes. I had my rear carbon wheels substituted and was not told about it. I received no assembly instructions. I received random parts in the parts box that were loose due to a cut-open bag. I received no owners manual and no listing of parts included on this bike. I am very disappointed with Epic. I would advise caution to anyone whing to use them. read more

We had a group that was riding to a Mayoral candidate forum about making biking better in Denver and one of us got a flat after running over some glass on the trail. Well, we were miles away from home, we all live near downtown. I saw this shop was about a mile away and we hauled the bike with the flat tire over hoping we might be able to get a fix to make our event. Even though we came in a few minutes before close, Peter got us fixed up so we could keep riding since we were far away from home. He first tried an affordable solution to see if that would work so we could go with the cheap option which we appreciated. We ended up needing a new tube and he was able to help us out when we were in a jam. Great shop. Super friendly and helpful. I bought a new road bike from Epic after seeing the quality of their inventory on bike exchange.com. You can purchase a serious bike to ride in the Tour De France here. Pinarello, Cervelo, BMC, Specialized decked out with everything the pro's are using can be found here. I am a smaller rider and it's been tough finding a frame for a 5'3" female without being a woman specific bike. I am also new to road biking so I had to ask a lot of questions. I appreciated the mechanic and sales guys didn't push for me to load up on accessories all at once and worked with me to prioritize my spending. read more

Would not return to this store for any reason. Piss-poor communication and zero support once they have your money.

I purchased a new gravel bike from Epic Cycles. I got a big discount from a high MSRP so was pretty happy with the end price. It included "free shipping" but they charged for assembly - and this wasn't an option. Anyway, at the end of the day I was happy with the overall end price. I received the bike and got it in what appeared to be good condition. No scratches. What wasn't apparent was the fact that there were a number of functional issues that belied the quality of their build. Problems with the shifter sticking, a creaking bottom bracket, a very noisy bearing and so on. When I contacted support at first it sounded like they'd support me via my local bike shop but this quickly turned out not to be the case. They ended up telling me I bought bike and component brands they no longer carry nor support so I'd have to try to get support direct from the Italian manufacturers myself (sure!). I go back to businesses that treat me well and avoid those that don't. I will not give Epic Cycles any business in the future and will warn others of my experience going forward. I took two bikes here for a tune up, one of which needed some additional cassette/axel work performed, which I briefed the mechanic on when I dropped it off. I was quoted a one week turn around time. One week came and went and I had yet to receive an update. I called for one and was told it would be another week because they were backed up and he might need to order a new axel, however, the Bike that needed just the tune up was ready. I elected to wait and pick them up at the same time. A week and a half later I still hadn't received a call or update, so I called the shop to check on the status of the bike with the axel issues. Mechanic said he was probably going to have to order a new axel. When asked why he had yet to do so considering he'd had the bike for 2.5 weeks he claimed that he was the only mechanic and they were super busy. I told him I was leaving for a bike trip in 1 week and He said he would call me back that afternoon to tell me whether or not the axel would be in on time. No call. I elected to pick up both bikes and take the one to be serviced else where. The other shop had it ready in one day. Epic cycles has poor communication. They do not value their customers time. They are not seeking to build good client relationships, and their work is poor- as evidenced by the remnants of dirt and dust left on the one bike that just needed a basic tune up. read more

I was looking for a champagne 47 Grevil F on the internet, only them has only 1 in stock. I was skeptical to pay thousands to a store I never meet or talk to since I am in Sacramento. I desperately wanted a bike shop on the north side of Central Park and was excited to try out Epic Cycles. I dropped off my bike for a week, seriously in need of a tune-up. When I received my bike back, the chain started skipping before I could make it out of the driveway. I could no longer ride up hills because the chain would not catch on the bike cassette. I returned my bike to Epic Cycles. Rather than apologizing, the mechanic let me know that they do not have the resources to test ride bikes after tune-ups. He took the bike back and told me it would be several days before he could look at it because he has 30 other bikes that take precedence. After 4 days, the mechanic finally took my bike for a test ride and confirmed that the bike cassette was worn out and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, the cassette is not in stock, and he needs a week to order it. I would expect much better customer service with a $190 price tag for the initial tune-up + 40 for the bike cassette. At that point, I was nearly 1/4 way to the price of the original bike. read more

I had my bike tuned-up at Epic Cycles Northfield ($100) after several years in storage and they did a stellar job, even adding tape to the worn handlebars and polishing the frame. I treasure this old bike so that alone is worth 5 stars. Several months later, they trued my wheel after a bike accident and, again did a great job. And, most recently, I dropped by to see if my seat post was salvageable; he fixed it on the spot and charged me nothing. They have gotten backed-up with repairs so expect to wait several days for any major work, but they do great work and charges are very reasonable. I highly recommend! read more
