A repair guy gave my dad's bike a "tune up" and paid $227 for them to do so. The repair guy's name was Miles. The tune up was for the upcoming Denver Century Ride where my dad was scheduled to ride 50 miles. An hour into the ride, SEVERAL bike spokes on the back wheel broke off. There was no way to fix or tighten it or anything. This is not the first time that he's had his bike serviced by Miles via velofix, and every time something breaks immediately after. Miles is either EXTREMELY incompetent or he's doing this on purpose. Based on the evidence I've gathered it is intentional. It's not uncommon for people to intentionally break things and loosen things to keep people coming back for repairs. This is what I suspect and Miles completely ruined his race. He wasn't able to finish the race and had to drive to a nearby bike shop that stated it would take an hour to fix. He didn't even get halfway through the race before it broke. And signing up for the race cost $285! My father only rides on trails. He's gotten new wheels and poured hundreds of dollars into his bike to make sure that it is safe. A tune up resulting in the bike breaking immediately after, is despicable for a bike REPAIR company. BEWARE: NEVER use this company and especially don't use Miles to tune up or repair your bike. Velofix? More like VeloBREAK. Terrible company. read more

No way to reschedule, get someone to answer the phone or actually get a password reset email. That means, once you're booked an paid, you're stuck even if trying to reschedule an entire week ahead of time. That is shady. read more

Miles is Exceptional in every way with his work! Both times, he was able to arrive early after calling to see if that worked. It did and even with a rainstorm that started just as he arrived, he went right to work on my mountain bike and was done as expected, in a short time! Miles is just all around a good guy and bike repair person! Velofix is my go to for all things related to my mountain bike upkeep! I needed new grips on my bike handlebars. If I could rate zero stars I would. Guy came out, wouldn't do any thing to bike due to him saying the brand new Ride1Up electric bike wasn't good and he was not familiar with them. I had an appointment at 12:30pm today - no technician showed up nor was there any communication regarding the delay. I called the Velofix number at 1:06pm and spoke with a CSR who told me she would reach out to 'Chris' and get back to me. When no one contacted me after 1 hour, I again called Velofix at 2:08pm and was only able to get a recording to send an email. I am surprised at the very poor customer service/communication by Velofix. I have used the service twice in the past and am extremely disappointed by what has transpired today. read more

Miles was super friendly, explained how everything would work, and got right after it. He had both tires replaced in short order. Very professional and courteous. Jim called me about an hour and a half before my scheduled tuneup to let me know his day was moving quickly and he could come by early if it worked for me. The tuneup was quick and thorough, and he let me know that a recall had been issued on my bike that I could get fixed at a Specialized retailer for free. In other words, I was ready to ride (even more ready, considering the recall fix that I didn't expect to need!) an hour ahead of schedule. The icing on the cake: While Jim was unloading my bike from the van, a neighbor rode by with a squeaky chain and Jim offered to give him a quick courtesy lube. What an awesome company! They participated in a Tour de Cure event in Parker that I attended with my KW office. Before the event they came by my office several times and offered to fix everyone's bikes. I brought in my road and mountain bike to get tuned up. The price was extremely affordable, the technician was friendly, professional, and it felt like he went out of his way to make me feel like I was a VIP client even though it was my first time working with them. At the race, they were set up at the beginning to help anyone that needed it. More importantly they were set up at the first rest station helping people with any problems they encountered. Tim Doolttlie is not only an exceptional bike mechanic, he's a down to earth guy that shares ideas on caring for your bike. He fixed my gravel bike, quickly. I had an issue with newly installed tubeless-tires, leaking far too much air. Jim tracked down the problem. When it wasn't obvious where the leaks originated, he used infrared to locate, leaks and stopped the air from escaping. Yay! He will be here again on Saturday to work on my mountain bike. It's not easy to find a bike mechanic that you know is so professional and a good person. All of my bike repair, will be done by him. read more

I decided to change things up from my usual LBS in Golden and reached out to Velofix about getting my Santa Cruz Nomad overhauled... any doubt I might have had about going with someone other than my LBS was immediately washed away when I saw how great of work they do. The fact that they are willing to come to you is UNREAL! My girlfriend and I have since used Velofix on multiple occasions and their work is some of the best we've received from any bike shop in Golden/Denver. The head mechanic Travis Kincaid is the nicest guy and his attention to detail is next level. All I have to do is set up an appointment and Travis knows where our hide a key is so he can come in and grab both our bikes to work on in the Van out front. I ordered a Radmini e-bike and had it delivered to Velofix. Even though this was out of the ordinary Rad bikes and Velofix made it happen. Met with Travis this morning in the Highlands Ranch area to pick up the bike which he had set up for me. Travis was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The fenders for the Radmini were back in stock after the bike had been delivered and were delivered to me so I brought them with me for Travis to install.
