Disappointing experience. My e-bike got a flat while riding with my son in the trailer. I know it's not the best area but I was hoping to grab an employee to take a look at the bike and see what quick options I had. I am not sure which employee it was but he approached me and I asked if he could walk outside with me to take a look at the flat. Annoyed by the request, he asks me to bring the bike inside to take a look. While I know this may be the way to inspect a bike, I am carrying my two year old son, so I am not going to ask someone to watch him, nor let him roam, while I unhook the trailer and wheel my e-bike into the store. Anyways, he does come outside and seems to quickly turn more annoyed that I do not know the size of my tires or what the exact issue is. He curtly says I'd have to leave my bike with him as he can't do anything about it right now, plus he sprinkles in a mention of a $40 charge for work on an e-bike not purchased there. I clearly didn't have the means to leave my bike right then and there so I said nevermind, and asked if they had any suggestions for a quick fix in the meantime. "Nope" was the response I got. Great...thanks... By the way, there is a quick fix. Slime or FlatOut are pretty cheap products at ACE or Walmart to fix even a flat e-bike fat tire. I'd be shocked to find out this employee wasn't aware of that product. Even if it is just a temporary solution or not. Regardless of the lack of welcoming feeling, I thank you for making me look this up myself so that I could save money and won't need to return to this shop again. read more

I needed my tire looked at as I knew something was wrong with it but couldn't figure it out myself. When I got there Erik took my bike back right away and had it fixed in less than 10 minutes! Explained what the problem was, and was so helpful and nice! This is my 2nd time coming here leaving with a great experience. read more

I put together a new bike for my grandson but the gears didn't appear to be working. I brought the bike to Adventure Cycling and he went over the bike, fixed my mistakes, adjusted the gears, and fixed a brake cable. He didn't charge me for his work and wouldn't accept a tip. If I need anything from a bicycle shop I will definitely return here. Please pass this on snd make sure you use this shop. Fantastic experience read more

Took my mountain bike in about a week ago to get tuned up. I hadn't ridden it in six years as it was stored in my garage in CA (too dangerous to ride in the narrow streets with many speeders). Picked my bike up today and it works like a brand new stallion! It now shifts quickly, easily, and more quietly. Oh, and now my amber stallion can stop on a dime! I had both tubes replaced so that a sealant could be added to both tubes (former stems wouldn't allow sealant). As an added bonus, they washed my bike too. However, Eric wanted the job done right and decided to call a 3rd party to help me fitted before making any cuts. Not only he recommended someone, he called the shop to have someone contact me. I have a 20 year old Raleigh mountain bike and the last time I had it serviced was 6 years ago by Adventure cycling, they were very professional, explained my options and I was given a very reasonably priced estimate. I recently needed the bottom bearings replaced on the same Raleigh so I took it back to Adventure cycling and it was repaired excellently and the final bill was a lot less than I'd expected. I will definitely recommend adventure cycling to all my friends and I absolutely will be back if I need service, or any cycling gear. I would give Adventure cycling the highest rating possible. Fair pricing and they did a great job tuning up my bike. I finally get to ride again!

Due to mobility issues, I've recently gotten a tricycle to ride around with my dogs at the Cherry Creek Dog Off-Leash Area, aka, The Puppy Park! We have to fold up the trike and remove the handlebars to get it in the back of the RAV4. It's a bit of a pain, but totally worth it. One day, the trike started slipping out of first gear, forcing me to hold the lever with my thumb to keep it from slipping. Since Adventure Cycling had just put new brakes on my two-wheeler, I took the trike to them to see if they could figure out what was wrong. Erik immediately diagnosed the problem: we had apparently damaged the shifter in the process of moving the trike in and out of the car. I now have a better shifter with a lower profile - less likely to get damaged! Erik also fixed the annoying sound coming from the back wheel, adjusted the hand brake, and secured the cables so they won't get tangled so easily when removing and replacing the handlebars - all at an unbelievably low price! What excellent customer service! And Hazel the Dog is cute, too:) read more

Saturday morning ride. Rear derailleur slipping and I happened to be riding in the Cherry Creek Reservoir so I stop in to see if I can get some info about getting the bike in. Super busy in the store but a mechanic says, "I'll look at right now." Another employee tells me to get a chilled bottle of water from the cooler while I am waiting! Fifteen minutes later, he says, "I cleaned and lubricated the chain, fixed the tension on the cables, fixed a bent something, adjusted the derailleur. Take it out to see if it's OK." I tell him I don't have money with me, and he says, "That's ok, just stop by sometime. It's only $20." Love this place. read more

My only regret it not finding this bike shop earlier. I've Serviced both mountain and road bikes here and they always do an excellent job. The thing I most appreciate is that they don't try to sell me on repairs or items I don't need and are very reasonable with their costs. My review of Adventure Cycling is way overdue. I have been a patron of this shop for well over a year. As a little backstory, I was an aspiring cyclist in my high school and early college years. Things happen, such as life, and I find myself as a Clydesdale in my 40's. I embraced the thought of getting back into it and sucked it up to go bike shopping. Knowing a thing or two about cycling, I walked into Adventure cycling with my "guns loaded" and ready to be judged. I was absolutely proven wrong. I walked in there and had absolutely nothing to prove to anybody who worked there. They listened to my desires and needs and set me up with a bike that I absolutely love, even after 2,000 miles on it in two years. I haven't even changed the saddle on it yet (maybe soon though!). Regardless, Erik and his team have made sure that my bike fit is correct and everything is running smoothly. In summary, I would endorse this local bike shop to anyone I come across. They will suit anyone's needs, whether it is a beginner or an expert cyclist. Most of all, the will do it all supportively without judgment that is encountered in many bike shops. I have been through the gauntlet of pronouncing bicycle names right in French, Adventure Cycling cares more about getting you on a bike that fits your needs and educating you. I guess I was there at wrong time. I was recommended here by my neighbor. I was there yesterday . I wanted to replace the tires on my wife's and my bike. Also wanted to replace my helmet. They only had one customer that was being helped by a cashier. I stood there holding my two wheels and helmet 15-20 minutes. Other then the lady doing a purchase i was the only other customer. There was a worker that kept answering the phone even though i was by the counter before the three calls he answered. So I left, went to Bicycle Village. Bought four tires, a new helmet, new shoes and new gloves for my daughter. I got fantastic service there. Too bad , I really wanted to shop here but just couldn't wait anymore. read more

You don't need to be an elite cyclist or have an expensive ride, you can be a Grandma and Grandpa with your Walmart special . The service is beyond exceptional!!! The shop got my bike fixed up that afternoon for an excellent price and did a great job answering some noob-ish questions I had about replacing my brakes. I am a cyclist. Okay, not a professional cyclist although I've done my small share of long-distance rides and triathlons. But my persona does not shout "avid" and the typical reaction I get when I go to bike stores is a bit patronizing. But at Adventure Cycling, they treated me as the might treat their favorite sister: with attention and respect and care. Aaron and Paul and Erik all chipped in to help me solve the minor issues I am having with my bike. Aaron fixed my flat and added sealant to help with future punctures. Erik stepped up to offer his assistance with fit issues I'm having. And Paul guided me through trying to find some new shoes to replace my old ones. Paul was so patient and helpful, taking time out to go online to help me find the shoes I want and need. Then he got on the phone and started calling other bike stores.
