Some good fast food Mexican! Staff is always friendly and of course very welcoming with there signature hello, "welcome to Moe's." Today I ordered a homewrecker, a very properly named burrito. I mixes steak and chicken and both meats were tender. The grilled onions, peppers and other toppings were all delicious. For my side I ordered the queso and chips, not the best quest I ever had but still very good. Looking for fast food Mexican, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

Dirty inside and out. At lunchtime every table was filthy. Manager finally came and washed off the tables with one dirty cloth for every table! Floor is dirty and slick. Ordered Doordash 3/14/22 at 2:35pm I received my delivery around 3 PM. I ordered a burrito and it was supposed to come with free chips and salsa. When opening my meal I realized that they had the burrito and the chips in the same bag with the burrito sitting on top of the chips and no salsa. So they forgot the salsa. No stars! I've always loved moes and have always taken my kids there. Love the food, but the service is horrible. The staff are miserable, they don't greet patrons anymore. We went Saturday at 12:30 and had one customer in front of us. The lady working the counter chose to make 7 online orders before speaking to the guy before us. 25 mins later when it was our turn, she chose to make more online orders and never even greeted us. This tipping craze needs to end. I've been going to this place for years, and they had a tipping jar with a sign on its side " gas money for staff" and sometimes I would put one or two dollars in there at the end of service. Now the tipping is implied in their payment system. And your faced with a choice to either 10% or 20% or more. Question.: why?! I am not tipping at Taco Bell's, which is located 15 seconds drive from you. I'm not tipping at Wendy's, which is located 20 seconds drive from you. This is not a full service restaurant. This is a self-service restaurant. Customers have to come up to the bar, and wait there, standing up, while your roll a burrito. The only thing you are doing here is what your salary is already paying you to do. Be proud of the work you do and celery you are paid. And stop scrounging after every transaction. Thought I would give moe's another try tonight. While they had plenty of staff, they did not have adequate amount of food. It was still the dinner hour, and when I walked in, a few people had been waited on A line was forming, several of us wanted the white meat chicken, which was not available, it was being prepared. I understand. The food is supposed to be good and fresh. However, when you're to a 1/2 a pan of an item, you need to order another pan of that item. The staff was not prepared for the customers. There was a manager on staff but he did not appear to be a managing. He was only manning the cash register. Although apologetic, this should not be happening. I feel if the manager who had been there for a long time, but was not there tonight. The food and the service would have been better and working well. This restaurant needs to retrain their employees for better service. Besides myself, there were 6 other people in line. Waiting for the same thing. After craving Mexican and running out of time and options, I wound up at Moe's. I didn't feel too bad since the parking lot seemed pretty full and customers were coming in and out. I noticed that Los Amigos, across the street didn't seem to have any customers at all at the time. That parking lot was empty. Note to self. Anyway, I was greeted with the standard "Welcome to Moe's"! I had a little trouble locating the menu that is usually posted on the wall. I eventually noticed on the left as I entered the place. The menu was a lot smaller than I expected which is why I didn't notice it right away. I was used to seeing the Moe's menu fairly large and plastered all over the wall. I chose the Joey's Bag of Donuts burrito ($6.39) and I opted to "make it a meal" for ($2.69) more! Holy Moly! I thought it was a bit pricy for what I got! Food was mediocre as can be expected from a chain like this. But it served it's purpose as I was very hungry. The store was clean. The server and cashier were friendly. It was a decent experience. But next time, I would probably opt to spend my nearly ten dollars at a sit-down Mexican restaurant. Unless, of course, I'm starving and Moe's is closest. read more

This has to be the dirtiest place that I have ALMOST eaten at. When I walked in I went to the restroom to wash my hands, bathroom was a mess. When I got up to where you would order was messier than the restroom, after not ordering I had to exit through the dining area salsa bar looked like a food fight had taken place, tables, chairs, floor was just as messy as the restroom. We moved to Ormond recently, so no more Port Orange Moe's. And a great thing too! Since we started eating here, I've discovered that there IS a difference in the quality & taste from one store to the next. This store actually has palatable food that needs no condiment help! I order the rice bowl & don't really need the salsa or dressing. This food bursts in my mouth with multiple flavors & well, you don't want to cover them with salsa. The Port Orange Moe's food was always bland, like wet cardboard & you had to drown it with salsas to eat it. Plus, the staff here are all friendly & accommodating, happy to change their gloves for us, happy to pull out fresh guac & pico for us & never complain about having to do so. They have us memorized as well, lol. I would meet with so much animosity at the Port Orange store so that I almost gave up going there. This Ormond store has restored my faith & my hunger for Moe's. I like that they take pride in their store's looks, keeping it super clean & well stocked versus the PtO store where you could never find a clean table, the drink machines were always out of every drink & the ice machine was always empty. I highly recommend the Ormond beach Moe's for a quick & delicious meal experience. Thank you guys! You all deserve a raise lol. read more

Moe's is kind of midway between Taco Bell and an average Mexican restaurant. You order at a counter and bring your food back to the table where you can watch sports on TV. The food itself is adequate but no more so. If this is your first time here, be prepared to spend a while deciphering the menu, where every dish has a ridiculous and unrevealing name, such as 'The Homewrecker', 'The Funk Meister', 'John Coctostan', and 'Joey Bag of Donuts' (yes, seriously). A nice enough place if you have an undiscriminating palate I guess, but I came from Southern California where it seemed like every block had an authentic Mexican restaurant. I live around the corner and I usually eat here with my family at least once a week. Walked in 5 minutes before closing time and I was treated very rudely by the staff member called Anthony. He said that they close in 3 minutes and they just have little food left as they are not allowed to cook anything when it is almost closing time. I was in shock and I had to ask him if he was discouraging me from ordering. He didn't care that was his reply. I thanked him for his hospitality and walked out. I have been coming to this location for years now and I have NEVER had an issue until tonight 1/26/23, my friend and I went into this location with the intention of getting dinner for her, her child and I but that quickly changed when we started ordering food and the employee making our food was extremely rude and disrespectful towards my friend and I both. We both have worked in the food industry for years so we understand that not every night is the best but that still does not mean you get to be rude and disrespectful and cuss at paying customers for simply trying to make you smile... The man was covered in tattoos on both arms and had a gold watch on. He preceded to tell us to mind our god damn business when simply asking if it had been a bad night because he had it written all over his face. We left never receiving the food for my friends child and when we tried to tell him again he simply ignored us for the second time. We visited Moe's today around 3 pm for a late lunch. Upon walking in the door, the entire experience was definitely not your typical Moe's experience. We waited several minutes before they even asked what we would like to order. Upon placing our order, they told us they were out of rice and it would be 30 minutes (isn't rice a staple at a burrito place?). As we moved through the line (which needed wiped down) we were told they were also out of queso and it would be 5-10 minutes. After paying for our lunch we went to find a table and the restaurant itself was filthy, as if the floor hadn't been swept all day. We were told they had a bus full of kids that they never recovered from - it's a holiday weekend. The food itself tasted ok. The employees seemed somewhat frazzled being out of so many things and not being able to catch up. We've visited this Moe's several times since it opened many years ago, and this was by far our worst experience. read more

I opted to go to Moe's for a takeout dinner after a long day at work. I was greeted by a half-hearted welcome, and the staff seemed disinterested in the customer and lackluster in enthusiasm. All was well enough until I approached the salsa bar. There was a slovenly looking gentleman there who was handling all of the little salsa cups and putting them back into the bin. He was then rubbing his nose and then reaching for the salsa ladles-of which I visibly shuddered, disgusted. This of course was not the restaurant's fault, but was a definite turn off to the self serve salsa area. There was salsa slopped all around the counter and a few of the selections were even empty. I passed on the salsa altogether, deciding that I would just use some that I had at home. As far as the meal, I got the ridiculously named Wrong Doug pressed wrap with steak. I liked all of the toppings except the meat. It was very gristly and seemed to be made of no more than steak leftover cuttings. I would not recommend any items made with their steak. Next time I will try the ground beef or chicken-but next time won't be for a while. To me, it's like a Subway for mexican food. Average experience. read more

I don't know if I had been to a Moe's before, but front to end it was great. I told the staff member my allergies and he proceeded to explain every item in depth (including informing me the corn tortillas are still cooked on the same surface as flour ones). Upon hearing my condition he didnt make me ask again. He made recommendations as to his preferences and what would pair well out of my options. My one regret, is I cannt remember the employees name; but it was around 3pm on a Saturday, and it helped turn my day around. read more

I just ate my first burrito from Moe's, and it was better than I expected. The ingredients are fresher, and there's more variety compared to Chipotle. We've been Floridians for over 30 years and coming to Ormond for "get-aways" for the last 20. The seafood in this area is the best Florida has to offer but it was time for a change; tonight we chose southwestern and Moe's. I went for take-out. I was greeted with a startling "Welcome to Moe's!" The layout is easy to follow and the menu easy to see but hardly needed, since the attentive crew was asking questions and snapping to action, getting our order done, post haste. The burritos, chips and guacamole were plentiful and delicious. If the staff was pretending to have fun, they were doing the best acting job I've seen in a long time. Maybe we benefitted from the sparse, off-season pace but any bunch as personable as we had tonight, that delivered the food and price (only $16 for two people!) we had, deserves your business. read more
