Specialty tacos

This is a favorite, local Mexican destination for those that live in the area! Come here and enjoy a very lively vibe with music in the background during peak hours or enjoy a relaxing, beautiful fountain-view on the patio during quieter hours. I appreciate the friendly servers who don't seem to mind helping customers with their questions about the menu. I ordered the Cancun Grilled Shrimp taco which was quite tasty. The shrimp weren't overcooked either. On the other hand, the Chimichurri Steak taco wasn't too enjoyable. The steak was not tender enough for my preferences and there was a bit too much gristle in my steak. The Chimichurri sauce wasn't anything to write home about. I wouldn't order that again. These were individually ordered speciality tacos prices at $6 each. The portion sizes were very satisfying. The carnitas tacos meal came with 3 tacos, rice and beans. The portion size was substantial and the flavor of the carnitas was memorable for all the right reasons! I'd definitely return! There is plenty of parking in the parking lot.

Food was amazing! The waiter was nice as well. Very nice ambiance, flowers hanging from the ceiling.

Cute little spot for some good Mexican food. We were seated right away, we were in on a Saturday around 5pm and it wasn't very busy. Our waitress was super nice and attentive the whole time we were there. The coconut margarita is great - my husband and I ordered the chorizo queso, which was fantastic. And we shared the birria burrito - which was plenty of food for 2 people, it's a huge burrito. The birria and consumme were also really good, we'd order it again. There's a patio for outdoor seating that has string lights and it would make for a nice little evening date, especially as the weather gets cooler here in Florida.

ALWAYSSSSSSSS THE BEST FOOD ‼ Stopped by for lunch & a pitcher of margaritas. Samantha was our server and was spectacular. We tried their specialty burgers and took advantage of taco Tuesday ~ the outdoor patio!~

The food is prob 3.5-4 stars but the service is what killed this review. They didn't seem understaffed but somehow we were left sitting for a long time - 15-20 mins without anyone coming over and taking a drink order. Finally what looked like a manager came over and gave us chips and salsa which was better than nothing but after awhile we got thirsty and still no sign of a server. Finally got the attention of a female server who seemed like she was going to cry at the prospect of having to take another table - so I asked her instead to please go ask whose table we were. Another few minutes pass and a male server came over and took our order - which at this point was for everything because I wasn't about to risk him leaving and being left to sit for another half hour. It took another 15 mins to get our drinks, but once that happened the food came very quickly and it was pretty good! Portions are large; I wouldn't say this is an authentic Mexican place but they had a large menu with just about everything you could ask for. I might give them a try again, hopefully the service tonight was an anomaly.

Blackened Shrimp burrito.......biggest ever!

Found this cute little Mexican restaurant near the Latitudes community in Daytona. It has a huge menu with all the traditional Mexican favorites. Good service, hefty portions, and great prices! I had the mole poblano lunch special. It came with Mexican rice and black beans. The chicken was tender and the sauce was sweet and savory, only $14. My husband had the blackened shrimp burrito. It was ginormous! He couldn't finish it and he always finishes his meal! He loved the white cheese sauce and said it was delicious....plus only $15. My sister had the steak fajitas. They were $14 and she said they were delicious although there could have been more of the toppings. The complimentary chips were just ok. I did have the house margarita and it was yummy! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Carnitas

A nice restaurant and great food. I highly recommend if you're in the Daytona Brach area.

Chimichanga

The food is great...comes out hot and fast. One downfall is that it can be very loud in there.

I came back for another try. This time I ordered the Enchiladas Supreme. Stayed away from the Chips as they are fried in a shared fryer with Chimichangas. Atmosphere is great. Music is festive. Restaurant is very clean. Quite tasty! Service was very attentive.

Tijuana tacos. Cheese shell!! I didn't know what to expect but I'm happy I ordered it. I'll definitely order this again! I was very satisfied and full with my 2 steak tacos, Mexican style. The cheese shell was fried and was able to hold the meat and toppings of the taco. It added so much more flavor to the dish. Definitely a strong suggestion for you to try! 5 for 5 on consecutive visits! This place, service and atmosphere is great for a work lunch or an after work happy hour with friends!

Dahlia was a delight!…read more Stopped in on the way home from the beach for queso and margs and was shocked by the GINORMOUS margarita I was served. I love a good coconut marg, and theirs was $14. I had no idea what was about to come my way but it was HUGE!!!!! The drink was so good (sooo much ice filling that huge glass) but it was fun to get such a big drink. The queso was good too. My husband ordered steak and it had to be sent back for undercooking, but otherwise, it was a really good meal. The service was not responsive. Had to ask for chips, drink refills, and waited a good bit to see the server to tell her to take the steak back to be cooked again. All-in-all, food gets a good nod, but due to the lack of service in a largely empty restaurant, I am giving it 3 stars.

We were pleasantly surprised that they were able to seat our whole group, at one long table, without any wait. The restaurant itself is a lot larger inside than it appears from the outside, with plenty of seating. I ordered a house margarita, which was good, and substantially sized. The chips and salsa were tasty, and with as large of a table as we had, they refreshed them for us, which was great. For dinner, I had the pollo poblano, a chicken dish that comes with mushroom and spinach stuffed chicken, rice, and they kindly switched out the black bean puree for vegetables. Overall, the meal was good, but surprisingly not super flavorful.

Went to Tia Coris for lunch today and it was really good. We ordered the barbacoa, carne asada,…read morepollo, and pork. We got them American-style with flour tortillas, and they were fire. Simple yet flavorful, everything tasted very fresh, and they were generous with the amount of meat on each taco. We were extremely satisfied and felt good after eating. We would definitely go back for our next taco fix. Bonus: they have Mexican Coke. We liked that it's fast-casual--you order at the counter and the food is brought to you within about 10 minutes, which makes it the perfect spot for a quick lunch. We really appreciated how fast everything was despite coming during the lunch rush. We sat inside because it was chilly willy, and the vibe was very casual. Something about the restaurant felt truly authentic.

They tossed in grilled onions (a bold move I did not ask for), and the sour cream situation was kinda lacking. But hey, we win some, we lose some. The Jamaica, though? Spot on. Perfectly balanced between sweet and tart--like someone's abuela whispered the recipe in their ear. Ambiance-wise, the place was clean, colorful, and honestly pretty charming. I liked the artwork, the energy felt lively, and the staff were cute and respectful, I got my food fairly quickly. It was busy the whole time, which tells me the locals really love it. I didn't try the salsa yet, so I'm leaving the door wide open for a second round. I'll be back--and I'll update you next time.

We had a good experience at this location in Daytona recently. Our server, Brianna B. was…read moreexcellent. I took advantage of the La Parrilla Louie lunch special, which was a ginormous portion half of which I took home for an additional meal. My wife had the pineapple Al Pastor and the Americana tacos with Spanish rice and black beans. The Al Pastor was much tastier than the Americana so next time she'll order two of the Al Pastors. The service was great and a really nice atmosphere in this restaurant. It is right across the street from the Daytona speedway. Also, an incredible value as their prices are really fair.

It's been a while…read moresince our last visit, so I called the restaurant to see if they still had their happy hour specials. At first the staff member informed me that they only have these during the week, but after further discussion she explained to me that yes, they still have the happy hour specials on the weekend from 2pm-5pm, nice! Surprisingly, for a Saturday at 4pm, this restaurant was actually slow. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server shortly after. We just wanted to order a few appetizers and a drink to share so we went with the Fro-Jo-Rita ($3.99), two orders of Taquitos ($4.49), the Guacamole ($4.49), and the Mexican Street Corn ($4.99). I highly recommend stopping in during happy hour to save beaucoup $$$$$. Our $40 something meal just turned into a $29.91 minus tip, great deal! I have to mention that since our last visit some of the appetizers have been removed from the happy hour deals, empanadas being one of them. Our food was out in record time. I went to the restroom to wash my hands shortly after placing the order and the appetizers were already arriving, wow! The food was delicious like we remember it; however, some of the taquito chicken was a bit dry, mostly on the ends, I take that into consideration since it is deep fried; regardless, there is plenty of sauce to go around to jazz it back up as needed. We were pretty much stuffed to the gills when we finished these appetizers, so no complaining here. Our server, Cammie, was super friendly and personable, she took great care of us during our visit. The restaurant is still as beautiful inside as we remember it, but this time around a happened to notice how gorgeous the bar top is. The bartender informed me that all the cards that are Epoxy Resin sealed into the bar are from Mexico, and that this is one of the last Cantina Louie stores this work was performed in. The Artists who performed this work has done all of the bar tops for every Cantina Louie since inception, which is pretty amazing to learn. I would mention that my only complaint this time around is that the chips that came with the chips and salsa were not warmed before delivery. I could tell they were freshly cooked that day but they were sent our room temp. Not the biggest complaint especially since we asked Cammie if she could bring out the second basket warmed, which she did. If you are looking for an affordable meal while shopping in the area, I highly recommend checking out Cantina Louie, especially during happy hour. We will be back!
