Good: - Nice outdoors area - Solid Happy Hour - Bar service and table staff on point and friendly. Bad: Food - been there 3 times and have been quite disappointed. Last visit I had the California Burrito $18.00. It had 1 tiny strip of steak and 95% rice. Horrible! Chips and Salsa - probably the most bland and liquid based Salsa I've ever had. This is a favorite, local Mexican destination for those that live in the area! Come here and enjoy a very lively vibe with music in the background during peak hours or enjoy a relaxing, beautiful fountain-view on the patio during quieter hours. I appreciate the friendly servers who don't seem to mind helping customers with their questions about the menu. I ordered the Cancun Grilled Shrimp taco which was quite tasty. The shrimp weren't overcooked either. On the other hand, the Chimichurri Steak taco wasn't too enjoyable. The steak was not tender enough for my preferences and there was a bit too much gristle in my steak. The Chimichurri sauce wasn't anything to write home about. I wouldn't order that again. These were individually ordered speciality tacos prices at $6 each. The portion sizes were very satisfying. The carnitas tacos meal came with 3 tacos, rice and beans. Cute little spot for some good Mexican food. We were seated right away, we were in on a Saturday around 5pm and it wasn't very busy. Our waitress was super nice and attentive the whole time we were there. The coconut margarita is great - my husband and I ordered the chorizo queso, which was fantastic. And we shared the birria burrito - which was plenty of food for 2 people, it's a huge burrito. The birria and consumme were also really good, we'd order it again. There's a patio for outdoor seating that has string lights and it would make for a nice little evening date, especially as the weather gets cooler here in Florida. read more

I am so glad that I stumbled upon this Mexican restaurant! My partner in crime was craving a chimichanga and Anejo was the second closest place with them on the menu. After checking out a few of the pictures and reviews, I could tell the quality would be high. Thankfully, after starting out the meal with a Cadillac margarita, I soon found out that my assumptions were correct. Even the free chips and salsa were crispy and flavorful. Our waitress was fine, but the star of the day was our food, which was perfectly seasoned and had large portions despite the small-ish looking size of the plates. I highly recommend the chimichanga or enchiladas as both were excellent! Something about that chihuahua cheese used just really makes me pumped to go back! read more

The service was really slow, and they charged us full price for mocktail margaritas for my 7 and 4 year old kids! Really? $27 for 2 kids drinks?! The food is prob 3.5-4 stars but the service is what killed this review. They didn't seem understaffed but somehow we were left sitting for a long time - 15-20 mins without anyone coming over and taking a drink order. Finally what looked like a manager came over and gave us chips and salsa which was better than nothing but after awhile we got thirsty and still no sign of a server. Finally got the attention of a female server who seemed like she was going to cry at the prospect of having to take another table - so I asked her instead to please go ask whose table we were. Another few minutes pass and a male server came over and took our order - which at this point was for everything because I wasn't about to risk him leaving and being left to sit for another half hour. It took another 15 mins to get our drinks, but once that happened the food came very quickly and it was pretty good! Portions are large; I wouldn't say this is an authentic Mexican place but they had a large menu with just about everything you could ask for. Found this cute little Mexican restaurant near the Latitudes community in Daytona. It has a huge menu with all the traditional Mexican favorites. Good service, hefty portions, and great prices! I had the mole poblano lunch special. It came with Mexican rice and black beans. The chicken was tender and the sauce was sweet and savory, only $14. My husband had the blackened shrimp burrito. It was ginormous! He couldn't finish it and he always finishes his meal! He loved the white cheese sauce and said it was delicious....plus only $15. My sister had the steak fajitas. They were $14 and she said they were delicious although there could have been more of the toppings. The complimentary chips were just ok. I did have the house margarita and it was yummy! Terrible experience. Tuna appeared to be from frozen. Color was off. I asked and was told it was ok. So so much soy sauce to cover up and extremely salty to cover the lack of freshness. Let the bartender know, but she dismissed it. I also addressed the hostess requesting to speak to the manager. But even the to go container was like a side sauce container. They didn't help nor care. i would never eat here. It is a hustle for older retired people who believe lots of rice and taco bell type tortillas are Mexican Food. Save your money. Tijuana tacos. Cheese shell!! I didn't know what to expect but I'm happy I ordered it. I'll definitely order this again! I was very satisfied and full with my 2 steak tacos, Mexican style. This makes me sad because we like going there. But they up-charge on wine when they can, it has happened before, no clarification, just charge more. Holy moly guacamole-yummy does not even describe the food and drinks that this restaurant make. Their margaritas are top notch. Let me tell you they are not using Jose Cuervo. The ambiance is super cute - yet very chill because, of course, it is on Margaritaville property. I had a chicken dish with an enchilada and sauce which was to die for. Delicious Mexican food with a great atmosphere. Inside is cold so bring extra if you get cold. Great to cool down from the Sumer heat. Our party of four arrived around 6 pm on Friday 3/4/22 to a busy restaurant. We were offered outdoor and inside seating then immediately seated. Half of our party had dined several times before with great experiences. This visit was our first and no different. Michael C serviced our table, superbly managing our needs. Crisp chips with fresh salsa starter followed by a pitcher of house margaritas and freshly prepared guacamole. Portions are generous so we shared an order of chicken and steak fajitas, opting for pineapple and shredded cheese. The fajitas meal came out hot and delicious. Not sure I would order the pineapple as it was mediocre and dry. Word of advice, save room for churros as these are extraordinary. Filled with caramel with sides of caramel and chocolate, garnished with strawberries and whipped cream. Daytona Beach offers several great Mexican restaurants. I would like to start by saying this is a beautiful restaurant and the staff during my visit was exceptional- we arrived a little after the noon hour and were seated immediately in a booth separated by a partially close block wall, the view was mostly obscured but not private by any means, the neighboring table's conversation was distracting and annoying so I suggested requesting a seat along the outer wall of the restaurant is you prefer a quieter experience. The service was great from the start - a nice portion of chips and salsa arrived prior to our server taking our drink order. The chips are a little on the thicker side, the salsa was smooth and finishes nicely with a little heat - we were also served the hotter version upon our request, this green salsa will definitely light you up and is delicious which is not always the case. Our ice cold Dos Equis' and Strawberry Margarita were delivered within a few minutes after ordering, our entrees arrived within 10 - 15 minutes, I'm used to being warned of a piping hot plate when enjoying Tex-Mex but that wasn't the case here the food was surprisingly only slightly warm but still of good quality. Pork Tamale Dinner - plenty of mildly seasoned meat in a delicate masa outer wrap these were a good example of how I like tamales so I was happy - the standard beans and rice was boring and somewhat bland but that's Tex-Mex for you and probably what most expect and love. Ground Beef Taco - loved the finely cooked meat filling and condiments, the freshly fried shell was a version not often seen around these parts, they were very fragile but I enjoyed it. Cheese Enchilada - delicious The prices here are what you should expect in these times, Tex-Mex Cuisine is not exempt from the extreme inflation our country is experiencing. Alcohol always add to the tab but 2 beers and 1 margarita is not over indulgence by any means, so is $75 including gratitude in line for a lunch for two at a Mexican Restaurant now a days - whether or not you agree it is or it isn't it is what it is, I personally think it's a little ridiculous. We have been coming to this restaurant for a while now and the food was always good. Up until about 6 months ago, the issue was always with the service being lackluster. Having said that, we have been back now roughly 5 times in the past 4 months or so. The service has done a 180 and even though the food was good before, it's exceptional now. We asked the manager if they had changed something and she said they brought in all new staff a while back. What a huge difference. Fantastic food, fantastic service. Came in tonight and the place was packed, but the service did not suffer. The food is always good to great and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We eat here often since we live nearby. We are from Texas and always compare Mexican food to what we know and this is close. One con I have, is that the food comes out too fast, they need to slow it down so you can enjoy your time without feeling rushed. Going out to dinner is expensive, I don't like eating a meal in 25 minutes and dropping almost $100 on drinks, dinner and tip. read more
