A neighbor of my in laws said this was a good place to eat so we went for Fathers Day. They were nice but, nothing great. The server was just ok. The drinks were just ok (with no prices on the menu so that's always a fun game). The salsa tastes like it came from a jar- lacking flavor and tastes processed- it's absolutely not house made and fresh. I didn't like it at all. We ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived still warm and the ice cream in the dessert still frozen. Between all of us we had quesadillas (chicken & steak), flautas, pastor chimichanga, pastor burrito. The way they packaged it was weird, each package had one item with the rice and beans and the second item came in a smaller container. Way too much Styrofoam. 3 other small packages came with shredded lettuce and pico, 1 had sour cream and no idea which was for what. The chicken in the flautas was dry and they were far too crispy. Their red sauce and cheese on the chimichanga and enchiladas quite literally tasted like I was eating a cheap cheese pizza like Mama Celeste, it was pure tomato, no spices of any kind. The enchilada was beyond dry and fell apart, it didn't even stay rolled, The quesadillas were edible and not terrible. Their red salsa leaves a lot to be desired but their green was super good and had a nice heat level. The churrocake was chocolatey but either there was no cinnamon flavor or you got a whole mouthful at once. We had a delicious meal here. The restaurant is darker but inside but has a nice blue light to the room. Ads are on the tables like an old diner. Outside are wonderful seats when the weather is not hot or rainy. I was concerned when we first arrived because the waitress didn't understand my allergy. We had safely eaten there 2 times before. One time they had gluten free mole sauce and it was amazing, but they don't carry it anymore. The food came out amazingly fast. The only problem came when another waiter brought out the food and put fried tortillas strips on top. They quickly made a whole other dish for me. *In the future it would be helpful to have a red marker or something to alert all staff that it is an allergy. read more

A consistent favorite! I have been coming to this place for several years now. I recently brought my family for a dinner and everyone enjoyed it. We got a few different tacos, a quesadilla, a burrito, the grilled shrimp, and some queso and guac. All the food was good! We usually get the perfect margaritas and they didn't disappoint! This place isn't a favorite for the food though- while the food is good, it's probably not the best Mexican food around. It's a favorite because of the ambiance! Friendly staff with a cozy setup inside. Great to enjoy on a date or with friends. Definitely family friendly, too! read more

If you want to bring friends and family to a fun Christmas atmosphere for a fun night during the holidays, do not waste your time or money here. The servers requested some holiday decorations, but Horacio, the manager refused. If an establishment does not have any more respect for their customers, regardless of their personal beliefs, during the holidays than to put up a small tree, wreath, garland...anything, then I certainly do not want to spend my holiday dollars there during this time of year. I called from out of state with a very unusual request. My son was turning 40, and I wanted 40 tacos built into the shape of a 4 and 0. The owner was willing to see what they could do. They put a lot of work into the display, and it was a huge hit at the party. There was a mix of beef and chicken, which I didn't expect. That was very much appreciated. The only hiccup was that all the toppings were supposed to be on the side so people could build their own tacos, but they had put the toppings on all of them. They rectified that by providing a few extra plain tacos at no charge. We did have one person allergic to tomatoes and another person who couldn't eat cheese. Passing through and caught my eye as mexican food lover decided to stop for lunch. I was greeted and sat quickly. Drink order taken with chipsand salsa upon seating and the waiter came by a few seconds later. I ordered off the lunch menu 2 soft tacos and they were terrific. The meat was moist and finely ground a nice helping of sour cream and cheese. They were great. Meal also came with rice and refruebd bean both very good as well and not over cooked tasted very fresh. The drinks have NO alcohol, I asked before ordering if they are pre made she said no, and the drinks were still very full of sour mix. i ordered the full dinner platter, which it had everything i needed to taste: enchiladas, chile relleno, taco, tostada, and a burrito, with Mexican rice and beans. the rice and beans were delicious. the only thing is the ground beef was the fills for all. the tacos, the burrito, the enchiladas and tostada all filled with the same ground beef. it felt i was eating ground beef all around. i would of preferred a variety of different textures and flavors in each item but was very disappointed Eating the same all over. I would first like to say that I really like Los Dos Compadres. It's mine and my friends Mexican go-to place. It's clean, good service and good value for the money. I do have a one dish complaint-The Chile Rellenos. I'm 60-something and every time I've had Chile Rellenos, they are usually medium-sized peppers stuffed with cheese and covered in a queso sauce. My Chile Rellenos were very small, covered in what tasted like pancake batter, and not very good. Not sweet, but the consistency was like pancake batter. Maybe I can try it again sometime if they change the recipe. My favorite dishes are Horatio's Platter and the Nachos Supreme. Horatio's Platter would be great if they nixed the flautas and added a burrito. Just my personal suggestions. We still love them and will be back. Ole' read more

The food is always tasty and hot, the drinks are always cold. The prices are very reasonable. I usually order the mushroom quesadillas or taco salad and my husband varies his order. He's had the fajitas and several combo platters and all are excellent. We never have room for dessert so I can't speak about that. We've eaten here for weekday lunch, weekday dinner and weekend dinner. The manager usually seats customers in the evening and checks in at the tables when he gets a chance. Soon after you seated the chips and salsa come out. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean and the decor is cute and dust free. The bus staff quickly gets the tables cleaned up. So why not 5 stars? The service is inconsistent. The staff is friendly but half the time we are left waiting for refills, or having someone to check on us. Once, my husband went to the manager and asked if someone would come take our order. Just the other day, we noticed at least one party who was seated after us, got their food about 10 minutes before ours came. We figured our waiter forgot to send it to the kitchen. He did get us drink refills after we were served but then we didn't see him until it was time for the check. I get it places get busy, staff call out ill, stuff just happens. If they could just improve attentiveness they'd easily be 5 stars. read more

Had early dinner and the food was not up to par. 5 out of the 6 at our table had steak fajitas and or fajita salad. The steak was very tough and chewy. Manager came to table and said they used a different vendor than what they usually use. To me that was not the right thing to say. She commented that I should had said something earlier but no one came back to our table for a while. I expected something to be taken off our bill but that did not happen either. We were hungry for Mexican and we do try to support local businesses so we visited Los Dos on a Friday evening at about 7pm for dinner. First time we've gone to Los Dos since they moved from the Publix shopping center into their "new" stand alone building on US 92. Yep, it's been a while. Wow I don't know where to start first. The restaurant is on the smallish side but appears to be clean. They have about 6 tables outside on the front patio area for dining and as walked in we noticed how loud the music was playing for the outside tables. That should have warned us but we went in anyway. The restaurant is noisy - I mean beyond noisy. We seriously had to shout at each other to be heard and we were just sitting across from each other! My husband, the engineer, measured the decibel levels inside and it was between 80-88 decibels with about a steady level of 85. That equates to the sound of a loud hairdryer, snow blower, garbage disposal or police car siren. Our waiter was quick to the table to get our drink and appetizer order and those appeared fairly quickly. We ordered beef and chicken enchiladas with rice and refried beans. Usual fare and nothing difficult but our dinner order took about 30 minutes to show up. Course they were busy but 30 minutes? The food was mediocre at best - not that good but not bad - the refried beans were the best thing on the plate. When the waiter rang up our bill and brought the charge receipt my husband noticed it $30.00 more than our total. So while my husband corrected the charges with the waiter I went outside and waited. Honestly at that point we both just wanted to get out of the building due to the noise. A relaxing dinner out - no way. Good Mexican food - only if you've never had better. Won't be back. read more

The staff was the only good part about this place. We went on a Wednesday which was a mistake. They had a live singer; and I loveeeee live music but we literally couldn't even hear eachother. We politely asked our server to have her music turned down a couple notches and she said they ask and the lady says no?? As if they don't have the final say. Anyways The food was not good. We got the queso and you could tell they took a block of white velveta cheese and microwaved it. Then I got the burrito and the beef was disgusting, like mystery meat.
