Steak Huarache to go
Kyle J.

My wife and I have been coming here for years. if you want delicious and authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. The location is a food truck where you place your order and then go inside to pay. you can eat outside at the tables or take it to go. The food is flavored very good and comes out quickly. Inside the store there's a variety of fresh drinks, fresh tortillas, ice cream and grocery items. We come here at least once a week. Food is priced very fairly and staff is friendly.

My first visit was very welcoming - I stopped by because everyone at my husbands job comes here for lunch and the parking lot is always full when I drive by I'm glad that I did! The young woman inside helped me with my first order and explained that usually most people will first order at the truck, and then go inside to pay, then the chefs will call out your order when it's ready These were very filling, & delicious. If you like some spice, there's a mild green sauce they come with and it compliments them well. If you like to eat A lot - A lot then you might be able to eat 3 lol

The food here was excellent. The service was good and fast too. For the price , I got a lot of Al pastor meat in my burrito and it was juicy, flavorful, and tender.

This was the ABSOLUTE BEST Mexican food we have ever had!! Service was fast and friendly. Remember it is a food truck - so if you don't need all the bells and whistles of a 'sit down' restaurant but you want AUTHENTIC food this is the place for you!! Tons of foot traffic - that says a lot about the quality of food. Outdoor Seating in the back if you like or take it to go but whatever you do eat here!!

A trio of asada, chicken and carnitas tacos. The asada was my favorite

I'm becoming a regular at this darling little taco truck. Delicious street tacos with home made salsas with lots of varieties for protein. My only take away is that they offer items not listed on the menu that I'd love to try but am not sure what they offer. So far I've enjoyed their rice and beans, pastor, chicken and asada tacos. Their carne asada platter is ginormous and they offer natural juices inside the store. Great set up, family owned and very inexpensive. An absolute win!

The best authentic Mexican tacos in Deland. It's all about the two sauces they have. You have to try both.

As a seasoned Yelp reviewer, it's important to stick to your guns and give accurate ratings. Yes,…read morethis place has very high reviews, but IMO, they're a bit overinflated. Here's why. This is a very small, strip mall kinda joint. And that vibe kinda controls the ambience. It's a place to eat, pay your check and leave, not to hang out and get comfortable. The servers are nice and it has a genuine small business feel. That's a good thing. Also, it's obvious that this place does care about the food they're serving and their customers. But let's get to the food in detail. We ordered tacos - cabeza, al pastor and carne asada - with chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were ok, but the chips were kinda thick and heavily fried. The tortillas on all the tacos broke apart in every instance, splitting so the insides fell out in the tray. This makes me think they are just food-service grade and not made there at the restaurant. For the cilantro and onion, they used red onion, which is unique, but definitely not the norm for authentic tacos. The tacos were also meat-heavy and far greasier than most tacos I've eaten. This led to some serious digestive issues for myself and my accompanying guest. We both went through it. I know, TMI, but it's worth pointing out because the greasy nature of the meat was notable while eating, as was the overly-fried nature of the chips. Finally, when asking for hot sauce, they don't have a house-made pica. It's just Yucateco, which anyone can buy at a grocery store. Don't get me wrong. This isn't a bad restaurant, but it's worthy of 3 out of 5 stars, which to me is a C grade. Average. A fair score for this place.
