Today on our way home from Umatilla, FL, we stopped on hwy 40 and thought we would have a great lunch +$40.00 at this restaurant. I got the CARNE ASADA $17.99 (lunch special), it was not worth the money. The flavor was off, it had very bland pickled onions on top and the steak was heavily seasoned with big chunks of black pepper. It was not good, tried to eat 1/2 and ended up only eating salsa and chips, did not eat me meal hardly. My husband got the create your own, taco and a burrito $14.99. He said it was alright, neither of us liked the rice and the beans were really salted and very thin with not much taste. Our server was never around. Waited over 10 minutes to see him, to order drinks (a bottle of beer and a glass of water) and waited another 15-20 minutes before we got to order our food. We never saw him again until it was time to pay the bill. The food used to be so good, was it just an off day? The lunch menu is a little pricey. It's a very nice place, they need to work on their lunch menu food prices. For lunch they are really pricey. read more

We used to love coming here but the last several times we ate there the service wasn't bad, it was horrible. Our server never checked on us, I had to get up and find him as our drinks were empty for far too long. Also had to get up and find them for our bill the last 3 times. Last night at taco Tuesday was an abomination. Brought wrong drinks to the table, couldn't find our server anywhere. The plated food looked like a child assembled it and was very skimpy. I don't know what has happened to this place but we are about done coming here. It was busy but we've had the same exact issues with different servers and even when it was not busy at all. Excellent place this is the second time. I'm coming here in three days. The salsa is wonderful the margaritas especially the two for one during happy hour are excellent tasting. We went to Fresh Guacamole last night since it was a beautiful night and we wanted outdoor dining. Alex was our server, he was very friendly. When asked for our drink order we asked if they serve pitcher of margaritas, he said yes but it is not on their drink menu. We ordered the table side guacamole which was brought out to us not made table side. I ordered a shrimp taco and a chicken Tinga taco and my husband ordered the ribeye steak with black beans and jasmine rice. The guacamole was very good, margaritas tasted more like lemonade with no tequila taste at all, I don't recommend the house margaritas at all. My husband's ribeye was good as was the shrimp taco but the chicken Tinga turned out to be pork and not chicken. As I said our server Alex was friendly but unfortunately never checked on us to see if our order was correct. I don't think we will be back. read more

What an amazing restaurant. It's beautifully decorated and the menu has so many options we had a hard time deciding. I had their chicken Al pastor. I chose the green plantains and yucca fries. Food was out of this world. Got a dish that was enough to feed 4 people that was so tasty then got 4 beers for $14.00. Mayra our server was excellent and so knowledgeable about what each dish offered. Definitely going to make this a weekly spot to eat. 5 star. This place is horrible! The service is beyond bad & they use false advertising to get you to sign up for their E-Club! The sign in the table says sign up for free guacamole. When you show the coupon to the waitress she is nasty! then the manager, Julio comes over & tells you that you have to purchase a meal. No where in the sign does it say that. He says it's his job to tell the customer the rules! Omg! Then I complained on Google & he threw us out! He threatened to waste the time of the Ormond Beach Police to throw us out ! Stopped in for lunch on Thursday and they don't seem to have a lunch menu, everything was a little pricey. The service was very, very slow never came back to the table to refill our water or ice tea glasses. For some reason the food was only lukewarm warm not hot at all. We ate here today for our first and LAST time. All the people giving good reviews must be either friends of the owner or they just don't know what good Mexican food tastes like. Alex was our waiter and he neglected us so much so that we had to ask another waiter to go get him. It wasn't busy at all. We ordered shrimp and chicken fajitas for 2 and instead it came with shrimp and steak. The steak was tough as nails and not edible. They are so stingy with the guacamole and sour cream that each of us got about 1 teaspoon. Just enough for one bite. We had a problem with our bill and asked for the manager and were told he wasn't there so we asked who was in charge and Alex told us there was no one in charge. I gave him a decent tip even though he didn't deserve it but the meal was disappointing and a waste of money. We won't be back. read more

Our waiter was attentive, knowledgable, and got everything right which is impressive with a party this size. Our food came out all around the same time and everyone was happy with their meals. The guac is a must have as it is made with perfect balance and you can even customize it. The menu is extensive and can be hard to follow and make a choice but you will never be short of options! I literally just left the restaurant and the food was pretty good but at the end of my service the waitress with the red hair charged me gratuity automatically on my check. It was just my husband and I at the table and usually gratuity is added in for a table of 6 or more . I know because I've served for 4 years. She charged my bill 20% gratuity. Last Saturday 10/19/24 Myself and my wife enjoyed this visit to your restaurant, We raved about the food service everything , today was a horrible experience, my wife and I came in just minutes passed 3, we asked the waiter if we would be able to receive the early bird special and was told yes. When I was given the bill it was not the early bird special price and full price. If your servers tell your customers one thing and it is not true your customers should be told before the bill is billed out. The manager was very unprofessional and rude. So not only did you lose a customer but if you really needed that extra $12 dollars because your afraid it will put your company out of business you should go out of business. read more

We had the Carne Asada, tacos, enchiladas, chicken, Carnetas, salad. All were awesome. I don't understand the low rating but take it from me, this place is way worth it. Fresh Guacamole offered the best margaritas in town. I love the cucumber jalapeño margaritas they have. It's very strong, it cost around $15 per drink. But you only need one drink if tí drink to knock you off from your feet. They always have special bogo house Margarita on a Tuesday and tacos for $1.25. Monday Margarita is $5.99 and it super strong. We usually do a pitcher for $15 to share it among all of us. It's worth every dime and penny on their drink and food. Another app I'd recommend is side table guacamole. Can't beat this w complimentary tortillas chips. read more
