If you want a stellar pedicure, you have to request Tim. He is hands down the best I have ever had. He is the only nail tech, to help with my in grown toe nails. He also is extremely good at actually massaging your legs. It's not a let me lotion you for 10 mins. It's not painful, but the perfect pressure to get relief and I am on my feet all day. I always request these two! The owner of the shop, is such a nice lady. She is always kindly greeting all of her customers. Rewards stamp card, save you $10. With a heavy heart, I have to adjust my review to include how disappointed I am with the management at Modish Nails. When it comes to money, they're extremely unprofessional and must be noted. To summarize, my husband gifted me with $100 cash for our wedding anniversary for a mani and pedi. I paid $58 cash for my pedi and a $12 tip to Van. A couple of days later, I called Modish to schedule my manicure but after speaking to their manager, she indicated to me that I short paid them $38 and I only paid $20 for my gel pedicure. Confused by the statement, I went back to my records and recalled that I paid cash and I supplied Modish with a copy of my receipt noting 'Cash Tendered'. I personally went back to Modish nails to show them a copy of my receipt and I asked for their records to show my credit card details for that day. Modish was insistent that my records were wrong and to check my back statement. Naturally since I paid cash, there would be no record of such transaction on that day. I'm so disappointed and my heart is broken with the way I'm being treated over their error. I've been a loyal customer and referred many of my friends and family and have given positive reviews for the tremendous services I've received from Toon, Nancy, and Van, and yet, this is how I'm being treated?!?! I asked them to check their records for cash transactions against my receipt for the date and time and recommended that they improve their accounting practices if they plan to stay in business because accusing loyal customers of short paying is unacceptable. What is even more inappropriate, Modish is approaching my friends about this experience which is also unfortunate. My hope is that Modish Nails, Gilbert will correct this type of behavior in the future. I really thought I found my home nail salon! Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Kim and Toon were working when I walked in for the first time and asked if they had an opening for an express gel manicure and gel pedicure. The inside of the salon was beautiful. There were 2 incredibly beautiful chandeliers above, Marble floors, tray ceilings with multicolored led lights changing color, beautiful stone walls etc... It was a very relaxing and peaceful environment. Kim was super efficient, and did the best job . I highly recommend this salon next to Fry's marketplace off of Williamsfield. It's especially a great location for all the women who have moved into all the new Fulton new builds, condos, and apartments a couple blocks down. Came in for a gel manicure, they had a 15% off sale because it is fairly new (maybe a month or so). Seemed to be somewhat disorganized. Finally had a spot for me, I think they gave me the newest person. The owner sat and watched her and hovered over all the employees. The tech couldn't understand my request at first, or what color. All of my nails were filed/cut crooked, a few had bumps or specks of dirt. The water wasn't warm when they soaked for the cuticles so it hurt when she pulled on them. One day later and one of my nails chipped. 5 days later and they peeled up. Wouldn't come back here. read more

They charged me $5 extra just to remove the gel which took 2 minutes. It really upset me that they charged me when they put it on. It was ridiculous. I have their product on and they over charge me to remove it. The also talk in their language, which I know they are talking about me. The staff is rude, rough, pushy, uncaring. Came in for a gel manicure and a pedicure. For the pedicure the paint is extremely lumpy and the tech got nail polish all over my cuticles. She didn't really try to clean it up at all. I picked a bright color for my toes so it is very obvious that it's not clean. I came in with gel on my nails, typically when I go into a nail salon with gel on they will use the drill to get off the top coat and soak off the polish. The tech tried to just use a drill to take off all the gel polish. I had to tell the tech multiple times that there was still gel on my nails and she kept saying it was just my nail. I could clearly still see the color that I came in with on the nail. The tech didn't try to file my nails evenly or straight so I had to do it on my own when I got home. My nails are bumpy from where she didn't take off the old gel. They still have the banner outside their building saying they're offering 15% off but I was charged full price. The gel polish job and nail shape was beyond awful, when I brought it to the man's attention that I was unhappy he proceeded to put oil and finish. When I voiced my concerns again and stated I don't want to pay for a service that looks like this his response was "call the cops" instead of apologizing and fixing the horrible job that he did. I came to Modish on a Tuesday at 4:00. It was very clean, nice atmosphere, and they had safety precautions for COVID. The staff was so friendly and helpful. One of the owners, Toon did my nails. He gave a great gel pedicure and I did sns dip on my nails. The chairs are very comfortable and don't shake you so vigorously as previous salons that I've been to. I went once before just to have my eyebrows done and decided to come back with a friend to get our nails done.... My nails are awful and were way overpriced. The person that was doing my nails already had their mind set that I was getting a French manicure which I didn't want but that's what I got. I asked for dip and they did gel. It has been less than a week and my thumbs are already cracked and coming off. The only reason for two stars is because I came back to have them redo my nails and they did but it was uncomfortable. They fixed her nails no charge. After a day, the dipping powder came off again. We went back and she wanted her money back. I have gone to this place twice and let me say after the first time I should've never returned. It is way over priced and you leave disappointed. The first time I got a full set meant to be gel and turned out to be gel acrylic. When I went in to get my "fill" they told me I couldn't get one bc they did not apply the right product. So I spent almost 2 hours there. They had to remove the acrylic and start the dip which then turned out horrible. The lady who was doing my nails thought they were dry and ruined my whole left hand. She then thought it would be fine to leave as it was but I asked for another coat at you could see my nail and not the color I had asked for. It was designed with the comfort of the client, it is spacious, super clean, and decorated like a million dollar home. They thought of everything and spared no expense. The staff, every single person spoke to us. One of the owners, Toon, I have been going to for around 2 years and this is his first salon. It didn't surprise me when he told me he was opening his own place because quite frankly he acted like the owner of the last place he worked, always going out of his way for his clients, every single person that walked through the door he greeted and was always ready to help his fellow staff.
