5 coats of polish was way too much, very lumpy, does not look or feel good
    J E.

I got gel manicure and pedicure, from different technicians. Pedicure was decent. The manicure came out SO BAD. The technician did 2 coats of clear gel, 2 coats of chunky glitter, and 1 more coat of clear polish. My nails are already short, and now they super lumpy and messy looking. I don't have time to get them redone this week and I have a special event this weekend. I'm so disappointed. She tried to correct the lumpy-ness by using a nail file to even them out but ultimately gave up.

I have several places on my face where there are now open skin. My eyebrows look great but I have never had this happen.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was great I got seen quick[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but I got a full face wax today and I just think $50 for a full face wax should be a great experience but I have been getting my face waxed for a couple years now and I have never left a salon with this many issues. For $50 this shouldn't have happened and maybe I am being over dramatic but this will take time to heal and I am very upset.

I really wanted to like this place. I came out of state to visit and had been wanting to try this place with my boyfriend but was very unhappy and disappointed with the service i had received especially with almost spending $300.00 including tip just to have Crooked nails, horribly shaped uncured for the gel to open up and have it be wet still 3 days from visit including having a burning sensation on my cuticles. Not only that during the visit the nail tech. Burned me with the UV LIGHT twice and cut me during the process.NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!! Not worth the money I paid. Just to have a horrible time there.

This was my 1st visit & I am blown away by everything. From the cleanliness to the atmosphere, customer care & the variety of options they have. Tony did my full set acrylic nails with ombré/airbrushed paint. Maya did my pedicure with French tip & she did an incredible job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone is so friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back!!

Cut on middle finger. But, loved the way the SNS turned out!

My nails have officially survived the "two week test"! I told myself I would not review until I experienced if my nails held up for at least two weeks, and, here we are!! I tried this salon a couple years ago when they were under different ownership and sadly, did not have a sturdy manicure. A couple weeks ago, I was looking for a new place to try to get a mani/pedi and get out of the house! I noticed the new name, DIP, and decided to give it another go. I got a basic pedi as I wanted to splurge a little and get SNS for my manicure. The basic pedicure was even better than I expected! Loved it! My pedi has held up well over the last couple weeks also. Yay! For my mani, I got SNS. I personally love SNS because of the durability. I am a person who is rough on her nails, so SNS seems to hold up better for me. My only issue was I was cut and bled during the mani. I'm sure my technician didn't mean it, but still was a bummer and was sore for a couple days after. Salon was clean and open. I am thinking I will be back to satisfy my SNS mani addiction next week. There's just something about having pretty nails, and I love not having to paint them for weeks!

    Beautiful job on my nails

Gorgeous nails and great people is what you'll find here. I've gotten dip nails at other places but they never look as good or last as long as when I get them done here. On top of that, the lovely workers are so sweet and adorable. How lucky am I that this place is only a few minutes from my home (:

Last time I was there, I had a girl who did a very sloppy job, so I went back to Angela at Elite Nail Salon just off McKellips!

Cut my finger severely when preparing for nail service. Left salon because I was sick from severe pain. Did not even apologize or have any concern for my condition. Two days later my finger is still bandaged and I was forced to cancel weekend plans with family. Just praying I won't develop an infection from wound. Do not put yourself in this predicamen.

And they were texting back and forth while she was trying to do my nails. I wrote a review at the time and at that time was told by the owner to come in and he would make it right. I declined. So fast-forward to today, I thought I would give them another shot as I was next-door buying groceries anyway. I couldn't believe it, I ended up getting the mother again as my so-called technician. She still doesn't have a clue what she's doing, pulled up a very messy unorganized cart that she couldn't find anything she was looking for, not interested at all doing a good job, and constantly looked up every time a customer walked in, was more interested in the conversation around us than she was in doing my mini pedi. She haphazardly trimmed my nails, did minimal filling, did not trim my cuticles, and spent less than 10 seconds on each heel scrub. Got a wet rag, (not even heated), wiped my feet and said " your the special right" . I nodded yes and she said "your done" The owner was doing a pedicure on a customer in the next chair, so he has to be aware of the mother's limitations, but still chooses to let her work on customers. This is very unhealthy and unsafe. Most states require nail technicians to be licensed.

I went in today for a simple manicure and pedicure with regular polish because I'm growing my nails…read moreout. Unfortunately, the experience left me disappointed, and I don't think I'll be returning. The manicure was okay. It was pretty quick, but the polish was applied evenly and I was happy with it. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. The pedicure, however, was a completely different experience. The technician was an older lady, and from the beginning I could tell she was having some difficulty with the polish. Her hands seemed noticeably shaky, and although she was trying, the application on several of my toes was not clean. **Two of my toenails in particular looked really bad after the first application. The polish was uneven and messy, the edges weren't clean, and it looked like the nails had not been properly finished. There was polish where it shouldn't have been, and the overall application looked sloppy rather than like a finished professional pedicure.** I was sitting there looking at my toes thinking, *There is no way I'm supposed to walk out of here with my toes looking like this.* I was also concerned because she didn't use toe separators. Since I specifically chose regular polish rather than gel, I knew the polish would need time to dry, and without separators I was worried that my toes would touch each other and mess up the polish. Thankfully, they didn't end up rubbing together. The technician did end up having to redo the problem areas on my toes. That helped, but the fact that they needed to be redone in the first place was frustrating, especially after already sitting through the service. I'll be posting pictures of **the first attempt and what I was apparently expected to leave the salon with**, because honestly, the pictures tell the story better than I can. If I hadn't said anything, I would have been walking out with two toes that looked noticeably unfinished and poorly painted. The massage itself was fine, and I don't want to say the entire pedicure was terrible because there were parts that were perfectly fine. But for a professional salon service, I expect the polish application to look clean and finished, especially when I'm paying full price. And then came the payment situation. While I was sitting in the chair waiting for my regular polish to dry, I was asked if I wanted to pay. I said sure. I was then told they only accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle. I chose Zelle because I have it and have used it to pay businesses before. However, when I entered the phone number they gave me, the recipient came up as **"Ricky" instead of the business name**. I specifically said, "It says Ricky, not T Nails." I was told, essentially, that yes, that was correct. That really threw me off. I've paid businesses through Zelle before, and the payment information has been connected to the business. Having the payment come up under what appeared to be a personal name made me uncomfortable. Then I was told the total was **$65 for the manicure and pedicure**. At that point, I was honestly pretty frustrated. I had already been there close to two hours, the pedicure had to be corrected because two of the toenails were poorly done initially, and I was still charged the full $65 without any sort of courtesy adjustment. I wasn't expecting the entire service to be free. But given that there was a noticeable problem with the pedicure and I had to have part of the service redone, I expected at least a small discount -- even $5 would have shown some acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I've been to other salons where, if there was even a slight problem with a service, they would remove the affected service from the bill or offer some kind of adjustment. So I was surprised that there was no attempt to do anything here. The salon itself was clean, but very plain, and there were only two people there during my visit. The actual service was okay overall, but it was not spectacular, and the problems with the pedicure combined with the payment situation really left a bad impression. **The biggest issue for me wasn't that the service wasn't perfect. It was that I was presented with a visibly poor first attempt on two of my toenails, had to have them redone, waited nearly two hours for the entire appointment, was charged the full $65, and was then asked to send the payment through Zelle to someone named "Ricky" rather than the business.** I'll post the pictures of my toes from the first attempt so people can see exactly what I mean. **Look at the photos and judge for yourself whether that is how a paying customer should be expected to leave a salon.** Just be forewarned.
