I have been following Ashley around from a couple of nail salons. (She is the manager here.) She is just a very kind person who always gives me a great pedicure. I never have an issue getting an appointment when I call in. Ashley takes the time to ask about my family and remembers details about my son's lives. The basic pedicure includes hot stones which is always a nice touch. It's a relaxing environment and I just feel very comfortable coming in to Ultra Nails whenever I want to schedule my next pedicure knowing that Ashley will take such great care of me. read more

Black fungus warning! I went to Ultra Nails Spa last year for a French mani/pedi. When I removed the polish a few weeks later, I was shocked to find that half of one of my fingernails had turned black. I couldn't believe it -- I had never had any trouble like this before. Then I remembered what happened at the salon. After I specifically told the technician not to use a foot file on my feet, she picked it up anyway and tried to use it. I raised my voice and said "No!" -- the entire salon went silent. I quickly softened my tone and explained that my feet are sensitive. When she moved on to my hands, she began picking at one of my fingernails repeatedly. At the time, I didn't understand why -- my nails were perfectly healthy. After she finished, she smiled at me and patted that fingernail three times, as if she were "planting a seed." I didn't know what to make of it then, but now, after everything that's happened, I absolutely believe it was a very awful act. My fingernail has still not fully recovered. I've prayed for the technician and the salon, but honestly, I am still struggling to forgive them. I can't shake the feeling that it was definitely intentional, and probably others at the salon were aware of it. I don't know if they've changed ownership in the past year, or if that technician is still working there. I truly hope no one else has had a similar experience. The place is clean and modern, has comfortable pedicure chairs and a friendly staff. Lots of different pedicure choices to select from and a huge selection of colors. My first visit Ashley did not dip the color to my cuticles. When I went back she said it was a technique. It looked horrible. The second and last time 4-5 of my nails had big dark splotches on them that didn't match the color. I think the dip or one of the products was bad. I called and asked if they could just redo them in three weeks because I was unable to come back in. She said no, give you discount. I find that ridiculous! Let me just start I don't like leaving bad reviews however...everyone working was double booked, my pedicure didn't start until 30 minutes after my appointment... sat down for my pedicure and the lady helping me left half way through to go in the back and then came back. End result is jagged nails and terrible service. Love this place, been coming here for years. They are always kind and squeeze me in whenever I do a walk in. Ashley is fantastic. I have smaller nails and she is very precise and clean. She went very close to the edge of the nails and none of the polish went onto the skin. I haven't had any problems with any of the other employees. Awful service I was not told about using only cash when I made my appointment then they charged me to use my card then a week and a half after my dip powder is chipped off that's never happened dip powder is supposed to last longer I paid $70!!!!!! And tipped and I came to ask them if they could fix it and they said they would do a fill do not go here I don't like dishonesty and they are not good quality for their prices ! **LADIES: CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS AFTER LEAVING THIS PLACE!!!** ...how many people is that happening to that DON'T notice?! Before this week, I would have given this place 5 stars! ...I've been going here for over 2 years... then this week.... not only did my nail lady (someone I had never had before) hurt me (woke up a day later to my finger throbbing and a huge sore on the side of my nail) but I checked my BANK ACCOUNT and had been charged for a tip (at 35%) that I had NEVER authorized! (I tipped the lady,even AFTER she hurt me, over 20% IN CASH at the time of service!!) When I went in to inquire about the "over charge" the manager proceeded to tell me that I was lying and that they would never have done that... he flipped through his receipts, found mine: clearly marked with a slash through the tip section and the total the same as the subtotal.... he then claimed I must have been the one to make the "mis-charge" (...uh, how could I have done that?!) and that I was still lying. He wanted proof, so I pulled up my bank account statement that showed it had cleared the day before..... "sometimes they charge and then fix" was his response (which, had it been pending... maybe I'd believe... but the charge had POSTED).... after insulting me some more ("it's just $7.50") he finally convinced me to let him figure it out and call me later.... Hours later he called to let me know that the "company" (whoever that is) did IN FACT charge me for the tip and no one knew how it could have happen...whatever... he said they could give me my money back right now, on my card or I could come in to get the cash. Uh, my card... right now....Ohhh, the "company" lost my information so I would need to give him my card number..... HAHHAAH. ya right, they'd probably charge me again! Needless to say, I had to go back in and get my cash. Only at the VERY end of the conversation did this a-hole finally say "sorry this happen". After being hurt, which went totally unaddressed by him, being "over charged" (to put it nicely) and then being told I was a liar... I am totally disgusted with this place and his attitude. Hasn't he ever heard of the "customer is always right"?! Had he started the conversation with "I'm sorry this happen to you" in the first place...I wouldn't have had to make a scene (I was shouting while client's were in the chairs) and would have been generally nice. As I said, when I stormed out the first time, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER... WHO KNOWS HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TO THAT HAVEN'T NOTICED!!!!!! read more

Avoid this downright awful, sorry excuse for a nail salon at all costs! I wish I could give negative stars, it doesn't deserve the 1. I went in for a fill, simple 20 minute procedure. Before I knew it, she had filed my nails completely down! I asked her what she was doing, I just wanted a fill and she said she was doing a fill, white and pink, and I yelled NO! But it was too late. I was forced to get the whole damn thing done. So just after she started, she was soooooo aggressive in filing my nails down to nothing, that she damn near made me BLEED! I literally screamed in my chair 3 times. :( She kept going though... I told her when she started that I don't want them too paper thin because they'll break in a day and lift on the edges. So what did she do? Made them paper thin - the absolute thinnest I had ever seen - i wish to god I was exaggerating. So I told her they were too thin, not right. She didn't acknowledge what I said though and kept going, did the next nail - I'm not even playing - 1/4 thick. I swear out of spite. I asked her what the hell she was doing, was that a joke? She said "it wasn't me." WHAT!?!? I made her fix it 3 times. The rest of my nails - paper thin. I told the manager the whole time she was messing up and causing me pain and he still charged me full price for the full fill. I went in for $20, 20 minute procedure. Left AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER paying $40 for a nail job I had made clear I hated from the start. I am in tears I'm so pissed off. This place can go to hell! I hope it shuts down. My review is based on the microblading procedure done by Tracy. I had my first blading completed in early November and just went back for my 4 week touch up. Overall my eyebrows look great and I'm very happy with the result however, it was an emotional process to say the least! For those people who say it doesn't hurt- they are lying. It was especially painful during the touch up appointment because the skin is still kind of tender. I don't know if maybe the numbing cream isn't very strong or I'm just a baby, but from what I read it should not have hurt very much. I do wish Tracy would have provided some in depth instructions on the after care process and maybe even a take home sheet because you're stunned when you initially see the result. I was in not shape to listen to instructions when I was more worried about the giant, dark "eyebrows" on my face. Of course, after a few days the color fades and around day 8 when the scabs flake off, you'll be so happy with the result. My advice- stay calm for the first week until the results really start to show. The worst part was not being able to get them wet for two weeks on the initial AND the retouch so plan accordingly. I'd recommend the procedure to anyone! read more

I have a couple complaints about this place. First they did not do my nails at all how I asked. My friend had the same experience. We went back into the salon and asked for a refund and were yelled at by the man that works there. They then told us they will fix them and we agreed but they still aren't how we asked in the beginning. If they couldn't do the nails they should've said no instead of the "yes" they gave us. It was overall a terrible experience. We felt as if they were talking bad about us from the start. They were just so rude. Never ever will I go there again. read more

While my friend has been here many times and likes it, I had a downright awful experience. One finger was chafed bloody from their rough treatment and frankly the cuticles of the rest of my fingers fare little better. The technician didn't bother to check with me on shape or length (probably because they were all going to wind up with different shapes and lengths anyway, as they did), the edges are rough, the color sloppy, and oh by the way I have a bubble in the gel of one nail.
