Came here yesterday afternoon, im a licensed cosmetologist and I'm gonna put it nicely. this place needs to enforce stateboard health standards. The lady doing my pedicure used a single use nail file and buffer that were already used and very obviously dirty. Single use means they are supposed to be disposed of after they are used. If they feel comfortable using a tool that has already been used by who know how many other clients, that is a clear disregard for public health and safety. Every item that could've been disinfected was put right back where it was after she used it on me, they should have a bin for the tools that need to be disinfected after the service. After she was done using the file and buffer on me she put them right back to where they were before. I am so disgusted with the service I had today and will never return. She was being extremely rough to my skin with the cuticle nippers and trying to dig with her finger nails, getting a pedicure should not hurt at all. After she painted the French tip, she was trying to tell me not to move when I was just trying to make sure I liked it before she cured it. As a professional you should want to keep your customers safe and healthy. At the end of the service she kept pointing to the receipt and saying tip and it felt like she was trying to force me to tip even though I was extremely disappointed with the service and didn't feel as though someone who puts my health in jeopardy deserves a tip. French tips does not look good and any good nail tech know once you polish, you don't file the nail anymore as you should've done the shaping before polish, and that filing after polish can result in chipping and lifting. I have gone here several times. The staff are incredible! Always fast to help you make an appointment, very polite and professional. I have weak nails and I typically get a dip manicure here and it will last me about 2-3 weeks. Susan did my nails last and is amazing! I had a pedicure and manicure here. Best one I have ever had. My feet were horrible when I came in, bad callouses on side front and cracks on my heels. The services I had where a pedicure and a fill on the nails. Prices are comparable to what I am used to paying, also if you pay with cash you get a bit of a discount. I've given this nail salon two chances for a pedicure (about 4 years apart), and I will never go back. BOTH times they were digging into the sides of my toe so aggressively that I started bleeding. After each visit, my toes were incredibly sensitive and in pain for days. One of those times resulted in an infection that needed to be treated by a doctor. I don't know if I happened to get the same nail tech the 2 times I've gone in the last 4 years, but I won't risk another experience like this at Haute Nails. This nail salon wasn't outstanding, but it wasn't horrible either. Called in for an appointment because previous reviews mentioned that they don't really prioritize walk-ins. Even saw this happen when I was there: every tech was working on a customer and when someone walked in, they said they were busy and asked if they could come back later, essentially creating an appt for them. Got a deluxe pedicure but not super thrilled about the results. It felt amazing to get massaged, but the callus remover seemed useless. When I walked out and inspected my feet, all the calluses were still there and my feet were super dry. Also got a dip manicure. My natural nails were pretty short and I asked the tech not to cut it, but just shape it to be more round. The tech did 3 coats of dip powder and the end result seems a bit bulkier than normal. She used the dremel to file down the edges but that's about it. She got top coat on my skin and accused me of messing it up even though it was her mistake. After letting my nails air dry (in front of the fan), she basically just cut it so it separated from my nail bed and tried to cut it off using the cuticle clippers. Then she just suggested that I scrub it off when I go to wash my hands. I was left with dry hands and dry cuticles with polish underneath my nails. The manicure doesn't include any type of lotion or massage like I've had at other salons. My total came to $75 (not including tip). read more

This was my first time at this salon and I made an appt. They set me up with Julie. I got right in even though the tech that I had the appt. with was not in yet, they got started on my pedi right away. They were already filing my toenails when Julie showed up. I was also going to had a Gel manicure with the removal of the old polish. When Julie took over working on my nails she Just smiled at me. Even after several times letting her know that she was cutting into my skin beside the nail with the nail file and nippers she just continued to smile. She didn't start on my polish removal until the pedi was completed. The same was true of the manicure. I left with cuts on 2 fingers,( with one cuticle bleeding) and cuts to the side of one toe with a very sore toe. I won't go to Julie again but I will try another tech to see if things are better. I absolutely love this place and would not go anywhere else. They take really good care of you and everything you ask. They help everyone that walks through the door even if sometimes without appointments take longer. They are very good about getting exactly what you ask for. Being male this is not the most masculine thing I do but they make me feel welcome and I have no problems at this place. My girlfriend says they do all the dipped nails and really good designs. I've gone here twice. First time was a couple of months ago and I left in tears. I've never felt so uncomfortable. I wanted to try a second time to see if I would have a better experience. Unfortunately I ended up getting the same lady this second time and didn't realize it was the same technician until she started fighting with her co-worker about me wanting glittery tips. She filed the sides of my nails down so rough that she made me bleed. She argued with her boss about the technique I wanted and rushed through it the entire time. She was pulling my hands around and being incredibly rough. I was shocked that she used the brush to dust away the acrylic on my nails while I was bleeding. So unsanitary. My nails are in so much pain and I did not get what I originally wanted because she flat out told me no and another way would be better. Aka easier and quicker for her. I had an appointment today at 1:00pm for a pedicure. I got there at 12:50pm, picked out a color and the lady that usually does my pedicure told me to sit in the pedi chair, so I did.. She was giving the person next to me a pedicure. By 1:20 she still hadn't started doing anything with me. I figured I had waited long enough. I began to get up from the chair and leave. No one said I'm sorry or apologized. I have always been a good tipper and appreciative for the services I've received. They lost a good customer. Some of the staff are very rude. I flip off my crocs and present my talons to this nice lady. She gloves up and tackles these beasts like no other! I was very disappointed in the service that I received here. Staff was kind and prompt however my manicure was rushed. My fingers were not prepped before receiving my Powder manicure, nails were not shaped and filed at all, and my cuticles were removed using the drill tool, which was painful- and she caused them to bleed. My technician did not wash her hands even though my blood got on them. My cuticles are still sore from this manicure. My nails had so much gunk underneath them after my manicure also, I have colored powder stuck all to my skin on my fingers. Overall my manicure was rushed and painful, not relaxing at all. My go to place to get my nails done. May the owner is very sweet. I always get acrylic nails with a gel nail polish/design. My mom goes here and gets the dip nail powder(which helps strengthen your original nails). Lastly, my boyfriend and I both get pedicures. I go with the basic and get a nice massage with hot towels and he chooses the expensive pedicure to remove the callous from his soles of his feet. I used to drive 20 min one way to get mt nails done at Elite nails but Haute nails has officially won me over. This is my new nail home! Torn because the pedicure was great, but the customer service was poor. Despite a local ordinance requiring them, both employees and customers weren't wearing masks. There was a box at the front desk. Not sure why they were offering/thrusting them on customers or wearing them themselves.
