Passion fruit green tea and guava green tea

Great tasting, friendly service and fast! Restaurant had clean seats and overall great spot to stop for a drink

The tea I got was okay. Got a DoorDash deal for bogo peach oolong tea. My friend's hot tea with 70% sugar which was recommended was less than desirable. The interior of the shop was nicely decorated. The pickup was quick and the staff was nice

Great boba, great service, and nice clean vibe indoors. However, The kiosk ordering process needs to be improved. When selecting items on the kiosk, not all customizations are available for all drinks that should be (like ice/sugar specifications). I usually like to put half sugar/half ice in my boba but only some drinks had selections for that (and not for the brown sugar boba which I wanted). Also the kiosk makes you put in your phone number to even order which feels weird and invasive.

This is my absolute favorite tea shop in Manhattan. They have a drink here that is amazing. It's the jasmine blossom tea. It's seasonal. Everytime I'm in NY, I stop by in the hopes they have the drink. Sometimes they don't, but today I'm absolutely thrilled they do. It's amazing. I come and get one or two a day while I'm in town. Casual. Kiosk ordering. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Stopped by after dinner to grab some boba at this spot since I was nearby and it definitely DID NOT reach expectations. We got the hot taro milk tea with boba and it tasted super artificial and powdery. They only offered large and XL sizes which I find odd lol. Overall not that great.

Peach Strawberry Shake and Black Tea Boba

I'm glad this shop was open late since my friend and I were craving bubble tea as a sweet treat after dinner! There's a good amount of seating for a bubble tea shop, and ordering was conveniently done through two touch screen machines. I was impressed by the options available; I went for a peach strawberry drink which I had never seen at other places. It took a bit longer to make than my friend's milk bubble tea, but the wait was probably only seven minutes or so. I love that my drink came with freeze dried strawberries on top of the foam as well as white boba (which did taste different from regular boba). My drink is perfect for strawberry milk lovers; it was a little too sweet for me but I chose 70% sweetness so I could have customized it to be less sugar. All in all, not a bad place to check out if you're in the area! Also, the packaging is very nice!

I love this place! I've been going here for years and they always have unique teas I don't see anywhere else. One of my friends grew up in NYC and moved to Sydney, and this is still her all time favorite and whenever she comes back to visit this is always a must visit. Took my partner here and he had the strawberry mango yogurt and he said he HAD to come back just two days later for the exact same drink. They have an easy ordering system with three screens. By pick up they have another screen that shows what order they're working on and what orders are coming up in their queue so it's all really easy to tell what the ETA is even when there are a lot of people. The cups are so cute and they have different designs all the time.

I came to Modern Tea Shop on a day closed for maintenance (signage affixed on the door), but returned two days later. Bubble tea was my method to cool down after a infinite exhaustive gruesome workday. The digitalized drink menu is hanging high above and behind the counter which I did not use. There is another digitalized full detailed drink menu located at the window before entering which is what I used to decide my order. Modern Tea Shop carries my default favorite grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 topping. Customer service is stolid, curt, rude and callous who produced a rude scowl look when requesting a receipt: "after you pay!" This directly exhibits avarice for a business. This male employee requires extensive customer service rehabilitation and corporate training reform for skills in the food service industry. This wayward behavior towards customers is untenable and intolerable. "After you pay" is unacceptable and a nefarious abomination for vulgar and horrific communication skills of customer service. Devoid of cognitive empathy for avarice exhibited. Despicable male cashier employee! The cashier is the front line in a traditional brick and mortar store business where first impression is a lasting impression. The screen projected suggested tip in intervals of 18%, 20%, 22% and 25%. Oh, hell no! I retaliate with zero gratuity! Peach Oolong tea $4.75 One medium 16 oz. drink 100% ice, 30% sugar and my default grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉. Again, it is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. The ice melted entirely during my one hour and ten minute MTA NYC Transit subway ride home. The grass jelly was chilled, delicious and quickly engulfed. I tasted Oolong, but absolutely no hint of peach flavor. The cup is pretty depicting a replica of traditional Chinese painting with a crane and abridged poetry. I admire this artwork for their paper cups and good graphic design. Will I return for another visit? For more grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉, yes. Indoor seating is limited and available. The order fulfillment counter is equipped with materials and fully stocked with napkins and straws. This business is located in Theater District, Midtown West, Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, NYC. It is very accessible via MTA NYC Transit at 42nd Street Port Authority A, E, and C trains. "It is your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude." - Zig Ziglar

Cute little tea shop in hells kitchen.Has a couple of tables for seating. The ambiance is nice with some kpop playing in the background. Ordered the winter special ginger milk tea with oat milk and boba. The drink came up to 9.64 with taxes ,which is atleast 2$ more than other boba stores around. The drink was good. The boba were soft and chewy. Got my drink pretty quick. I cant justify the price unfortunately.

There are better teashops in the city, but the interior is nice and has a lot of seating! A lot of kiosks so you don't need to interact with anyone lol, but the service is great! Very customizable with a lot of options. I don't think their whole milk is lactose free, since my stomach got upset, but the offer free oat milk!

Overall: 4.6/5 (take out) They had ipad ordering kiosks which I liked because we can look at the drink pictures and ingredient lists before choosing. It was empty when we came on a Monday late afternoon so the drinks came out right away. Pink Ombre Slush ($7.50): The pink ombre is a slush made from jasmine green tea with fresh lychee, aloe, dragon fruit, and cheese foam. I got 70% sweet which was recommended and the perfect sweetness level for me. This was so refreshing and tasty! I love the aloe bits as well.

Good boba shop. I enjoyed my tea here. They have tablets that you order on. It makes it really simple and allows for plenty of different types of customization. 8-10 people seats in the shop

I've never been to a yogurt store that makes you pay a set price first before selecting toppings, which also means toppings are limited based on the yogurt size (something I only realized later after looking at a picture I took in the store). The employee who was supposed to help me immediately gave me attitude, as if I was supposed to already know all the "rules" of the store. I said nothing that would have warranted that reaction -- I simply went over to the display. At the register, I scanned my rewards app then couldn't find the card reader to pay. After about 20 seconds, I realized it was sitting on top of a case of water bottles (pictured). The topping limit signage was also placed off to the side of the register where customers wouldn't naturally see it -- it wasn't even on my side and was partially blocked. I only found this out when I went up to the counter after I got my yogurt. While choosing toppings, I asked how many I was allowed, and she responded, "How many toppings do you think you're supposed to choose?" with a noticeably rude tone. When I chose cookie dough as my fourth topping, she only gave me a few pieces, dropped another on the counter (pictured), and ignored it. The cookie dough topping was stale too. I also noticed she did not seem to treat other customers the same way. I eventually went back to the register - I asked her if the yogurt was actually strawberry matcha because it tasted like vanilla. I also asked about her rudeness because I genuinely didn't understand why I was being treated that way for asking simple questions. She said the information was "on the wall," even though it was difficult to see. I actually ended up apologizing earlier because she made me feel like I was burdening her. The only personable thing she said the entire interaction was that I didn't need to apologize, but the tone still felt unfriendly. Two customers sitting nearby ended up leaving without ordering. I understand it was Super Bowl Sunday and she appeared to be working alone, which may have contributed to stress. Still, I left feeling extremely shaken and even spilled yogurt on my jacket afterward. I would not return to this location. I used to come to this location sometimes, but after this experience -- and a previous visit where I ordered a tea and received very little -- I would not return.

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.

There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil.
