The low score is for service. We visited Saturday, August 21 at around 8pm. The woman who 'greeted us led with a surly 'How many pizzas?' After we got a hang of the menu and said we wanted minis, she again asked how many, and we said 2. She prepped the dough, came back and started with 'Do you want red sauce do want Mozzarella.' I tried to interject and had to abruptly interrupt her to ask if I could have a classic rather than tell her every ingredient. A curt 'Wjat do you want?'. Then she went off to make our pizzas and another guy appeared. My friend asked who we ask about salads. He said he could do that for us. He very quickly got our orders confused. He only asked me if I wanted it mixed, but he was making my friend's salad, which we didn't realize until he finished. He handed it to me, and I asked 'Is this the Italian?' His reply was? It's your pizza.' I repeated, is this the Italian?' He said, 'It's the Greek,' which was for my friend. Then he said something about cucumbers for the next one, and I said that there are no cucumbers on the Italian, he said there were cucumbers on both. He finished my salad...with the dressing in the side. When I opened it, it didn't look right. I went back in and asked what salad this was. He said it's the Garden. Then there was an exchange about what I ordered, that they will re-make it, but I didn't want to waste. I was fine, I just wanted to clarify what I had, and I did eat it. I'm sorry. I really hate to leave poor reviews as I know eateries are trying their best. , I cater and am a "foodie", but these were the two worst pizzas I have ever had in 50 years! The delivery service left them outside my door without notifying me, so they were cold when I found them outside my door. The crust was white on both, undercooked without olive oil or something to make up for white, non crunchy crust. But it was the ingredients that were so poor. The garlic was old and strong, cheese the same..gogonzla should be distinct but not stinky. The drizzled barbecue sauce far too spicy, not sweet... The worst was the fresh, raw arugula sprinkled on top. Arugula is far too green and bitter to be a raw garnish on a pizza. When I chose it as an ingredient, I thought it would at least be sautéed. Tossed upon a cold pizza, raw, and bitter was awful. I'm sorry, I really hate to leave such a poor review, but I had 1/2 piece of the pie and had to throw everything away. we just ordered from the Riverdale park, MD Mod Pizza place and not only did they get the order wrong, the dough was not cooked all the way through, the toppings were wrong and the pizza was disgusting and inedible with a sticky gooey thing on top of a bunch of meat (which I didn't order). Two coworkers and I ordered lunch here on a Monday in October 2017. We placed our order online at around 11 and were able to set an 11:45 pickup time. The shop was very centrally located. It looked pretty busy when we arrived but there was plenty of seating inside, so probably most people just took their pizzas to go. We had our pizzas to stay, and there were cups for water by the beverage fountains. I ordered the mad dog pizza, although when I saw all the topping options, I did wish I had done the create-your-own. However, the mad dog pizza was really tasty and I enjoyed it a lot. The crust was thin--a bit burnt for my taste and the pizza overall was a bit salty for me. However, it was really flavorful and well made. I would be happy to stop by again if I'm ever working nearby again, as it is a very quick and convenient location to pick up food from. read more

With a heavy drizzle outside, we didn't want to head too far from our hotel. We were recommended to try out MOD, especially with wide options for vegetarians. We were not disappointed as we landed in MOD and chose the option to do a customised Pizza with our choice of sauce, and ingredients that go on top. I went ahead to customise a thin crust with some pesto sauce & ricotta cheese base. I did chose to throw in some mushrooms, sweet red peppers, some jalapeños, mozzarella, & oregano flakes. We've tried Morris east and piatto etc back home and paid triple or more the price for bad pizza. This was incredible. You can also get half and half to satisfy your tastebuds! Three of us came here during the PAX convention so it was pretty busy and during peak time, the line was out of the door. We all enjoyed our own pizza creation and mutually agreed that one of the staff members who was on topping duty did a sloppy job. I wanted a quick, light dinner and while i did search Yelp for pizza and had another spot in mind to try, i noticed and then had confirmed by my concierge that not many pizza spots in Seattle do slices. While I didn't hold them to the standards that i would at home, i knew as soon as i placed my order that i was going to be disappointed. The "dough" is already made, thin and flat and on the pizza plate. It is very cardboard looking, thin and lifeless. My heart and head said run but i stood there, feet like cement and placed my order. It was a seasonal pie with artichoke and other things that i can't remember because that is just it - this was not memorable. This might not be 5 star pizza (especially if you're one of those people who has a strict definition of what pizza "is"), but it is most certainly 5 star value and efficiency. In fact, this might be the greatest lunch value place that I've ever been in the U.S. I'm fairly certain if M.O.D. were in DC and near my office I would be dining there at least once a week. It was my first exposure to food in Seattle and remained one of my favorite throughout simply because the concept just works. The lines here are a testament to the quality, but also to the improbable speed with which they deliver their product. In less than 30 minutes and for under $10 you can get in line, get your whole pizza and milkshake, and have nearly finished eating it, if you're on a shorter lunch break. If you've got an hour then you're pretty well set. To make things even easier for people with compressed schedules they offer online ordering which allows you to skip straight to the pickup line and pay. I don't know how they crank out all these pizzas so quickly, but thankfully there's no lack of flavor and consistency as a result. Their pre-designed selections (all under $7) are pretty good, and that was my first option when I came here, choosing the Calexico pizza made with mozzarella, gorgonzola, chicken, hot buffalo sauce, and jalapenos. It wasn't hot, per se, but it definitely packed a little bit of a kick due to the freshness of the jalapenos. I could see people with a low tolerance easily being bitten by this pizza. I was surprised at the overall lack of grease, a pleasant discovery given that I'm actually not a fan of the runny New York style that East coasters are so accustomed to. At $2.50 a piece these things would quickly become a dangerous habit for me, so it might be a good thing you can't really find the fruit back home. If you want to create your own custom pizza your options are virtually unlimited, as the fresh topping base is quite large, and the price is fixed so you can load it up as much as you want. I decided to be rather hedonistic on my second visit and went for a pizza with Canadian bacon, artichokes, fresh basil, pineapple, gorgonzola, jalapenos, mozzarella, and parmesan. Wow, it was a lot, but it all really worked together. Junk pies are quite often the best, and this one was no different. As I sat there enjoying the street level view from their perch I had visions of a M.O.D. in DC and the inevitable line I would be waiting in, then realized that somehow we would find a way to make this inexpensive place cost $12 instead, and just like that it would be ruined. read more

The staff were friendly and really seemed to try to make things right. Here's the situation: We were in town on business. Went to an airbnb up on the hill - first time back since I'd moved a few years back - and needed a bite to eat while getting some work done. Instead, I sacrificed several work hours in trying to actually have food delivered as there weren't many open options at that time and we'd heard it wasn't super safe to walk around since covid! MOD ordered. MOD stated delivered. Now, my hubs went to the front gate 15 minutes early, and there were NO delivery personnel that came. 30 minutes AFTER I went to join him and called MOD. They said they would cancel the order, and I would need to re-order and have another delivery. We're super early risers, so tired and hungry.. we then order again. And once again, MOD states delivered (even though they have our cell and did NOT call), the same situation and we had to re-order a THIRD time. After it happened again, we took a lyft for $30 each way, to get pizza that was LUKE WARM to COLD. Here's the issue with that. We were PROMISED (on the phone) that they were going to re-make it fresh. However, since we'd told them (on the phone) that we were heading down, their manager decided to just have it ready for us. We were starving, as we hadn't eaten since earlier in the day and it was pretty late. We were given some extra cakes and drinks, but one cold pizza and we had to remind them about the other part of the (final) order. Interesting that they pointed out a guy they said was the (doordash?) delivery guy (each time). He ran out when I called out to him to find out what went wrong. Why did they give the same guy the same order, if it wasn't delivered the first time - we called straight away both times! They gave us a coupon (which we gave away) for a pizza, which was useless since we were heading out of town the next day and we were at the business until leaving. I lost HOURS of work, and sleep, and have to wonder if it truly was the delivery person or mod, since we were charged multiple times for the order that they promised would only be charged once! FIX - take ALL charges off our credit card, pay our lyft costs, and FIRE the delivery service (DOORDASH). CHARGE the delivery service for your costs, MOD, since they made fraudulent statements of delivery when NOTHING was delivered. You can also order and pay for your pizza online, so when you walk in, you go to the register, grab your pizza and go. aka MOD Pizza is not only cheap, but also really fast! I ordered my pizza online today, and I ordered the Lucy Sunshine (garlic, artichoke and dollops of red sauce) and I added mushrooms, tomatoes and black olives. I asked for it to be ready at 12:15 today, but I arrived at 12:10 and there it was. I brought the pizza back to work, and it was delicious! The crust was thin and crispy, just how I like it and the toppings were plentiful. I was full after eating half, so I still have enough for lunch tomorrow too! MOD pizza is thinner crust "personal pan" type of pizza. I have tried several kinds and have always been pleased. Plus at $7 per pie, it's a great lunch fix. What makes MOD standout to other pizza places is the option to order online. When you get there your pizza is ready to pick up. I use to go to the Bellevue location where the pizza would be on the pickup counter ready to pick up. I have been to this location once and I had my lunch around 11am. I expected the same thing but instead I came into a pretty empty resturant and saw no pick up location. I waited in line and let the woman know I ordred online. She took me to the right side of the little pizza island and pulled my pizza from around the counter. I am interested to go back on a busier time because I enjoyed the conince of the Bellevue location to be able to just pick up my pizza and leave. I love the idea of this restaurant. You can have your pizza/salad made/customized right in front of you like you're at subway but it's pizza/salad. I had a free pizza coupon to use up so my group and I decided to stop here after our day at Comicon. There was a line out the door but it went by really fast. We ordered 3 pizzas, that were all great, as well as 2 milkshakes and an ice tea. The bill was only $25 (would've been ~$35 w/o my coupon)! How reasonable is that? And the staff, they were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly! It may not have been the best pizza I have ever tasted in my life(I've had a lot of pizza), but it was still really good, fast, cheap, and I just love the idea how you can make it your own. I've had much better individually and freshly prepared pizzas. I am not sure if it was the crust I didn't like, but it is creative. I had the special Olivia pizza and added the spicy chicken sausage and arugula. I also got the garlic strips and an Alaskan White Ale. The service is great. The variety is amazing. This location is definitely a hit or miss depending on the day and today was definitely a miss. There is no reason why 8 people should be waiting in the pickup line and have NO ONE come and acknowledge us for 5 minutes. And another note, 8 people shouldn't be waiting for their pizza at the correct time and have it not be ready. My pizza was supposed to be ready at 12:53 PM and it is now 1:03 PM and I just received my pizza with 10 other people now waiting for their online orders. Pizza is one of my favorite foods. I came here for lunch with one of my friends and decided to order one pizza each and split a Caesar Salad. As I watched one of the cooks mix the salad in the zip lock bag, I wondered if that was our salad and if so, how on earth would they be able to split that? It was so small. When our orders were ready to go, I noticed that the box containing the salad was pretty light. Ignoring the voice in the back of my head to open the box, we left and headed back to work. I opened the box as we walked out of the convention center and cursed myself for not listening to that voice. The box was big, but what was inside was small AND the lettuce was wilted and brown. We thought about going back and ask them to remake it but we had to get back to work. When I got back to my desk, I decided to give the salad a chance. After all, I did pay for it. The lettuce was wilted and soggy and the little piece of bread that came with it tasted like plain dough and nothing else.
