Staying in a hotel across the street, had an Uber Eats credit to burn and could pick up to avoid the fees. Ordered a calzone with my preferred ingredients. The calzone was perfectly cooked and the ingredients of the flavor and quality you'd expect from a "not a national chain" pizzaria, meaning clearly fresh vs. canned or frozen vegetables. I wish it had some kind of a wash or even olive oil on the surface - the crust was very dry but not overly thick/chewy, but that's just a personal preference. The only downside was the "marinara" or pizza sauce. It was completely cold (I'd much prefer it warm to bring out the flavors) and very, very sweet. For a meal in a hotel in a city that isn't my own, it was perfectly fine and I'd have no problem ordering again. I just wouldn't seek them out otherwise. From what I read, they're much more of a "local chain" and depend on their bar, bar food and pizza for the bulk of their operation. That makes a lot of sense and I could absolutely see this as a neighborhood joint for a beer, some wings and a slice. read more

The pizza is good, but everything else about my experiences has failed me. Now back to the pizza review. Out of all the a pizza marts, these guys make it the best if not top 3. Some times, The vibe here is also a bit better than the other locations I've been to also. The worst part about the pizza experience is the pizza by the slice. At the other locations I've never had a problem walking in and getting a slice or two and drinks with friends. Literally every time I've come here for a slice it's always the wrong time or they just flat out don't have it. Even when I come back at the time they tell me they seem to be all out or on their last few dried up mangled pieces. Literally my favorite part about visiting any other a pizza mart has been the ability to just come get a decent slice and a drink with friends. And I've yet to be able to do this at this location. With that said, I think it's the service. I can't think of a time coming when I've been happy with the service or even the simple conversations had with staff. It gets me no where and zero slices of pizza in the last 2 years of trying. The interior set up fine, but never clean enough for my likings. Feels like a dive bar that serves pizza. Came here on a Monday for their weekly trivia night for the first time and it was a great experience! It's a smaller bar type establishment, but the bartender was incredibly nice. I ordered my food at the bar, and tender told me to sit down and he'd bring me my food. It took maybe 10-15 min for the pizza to come out but it was delicious! Hot and really flavorful. This was a wonderful bar with good atmosphere, regulars and team. It was only a few blocks from our hotel and both my wife and I wanted some pizza. Multiple people told us to come here. The staff here was nice and attentive to our needs. There were not many people there when we got in but as we left you can see the locals (and tourists) starting to make their way in. This is not a pizza place, it is a bar and did not expect too much but.... The pizza was a tasty thin crust pizza with lots of sauce and cheese and definitely tasty. We went with a plain cheese and enjoyed it. SImple and tasty... a good mix. This shop was definitely worth the few block walk we took to get here. I am sure that it would be fun to come here when the place is packed and filled with electricity, but that will have to be next time. You treated the New Yorkers well. We arrived after the trek from the airport, after the hotel check-in dance, hungry in a mostly shuttered city. Two steps in we knew this would salvage the evening. A flannel-clad, heavily bearded bartender walked is through our choices of pizza slices: 1. Pepperoni 2. Meat lovers 3. Veggie 4. Ham and pineapple We tried several slices of the first three. Each had a very distinct flavor, was confidently baked, and was large. Satisfying. The menu is huge, including chicken parmesan sandwiches and calzones. Locals have a long way to go to exhaust this menu. The food, the vibe, the buzz, the music, the football game alongside the animal videos and the MTV-like channel, and the joy of the bartender had us smiling all the way back to the hotel. This is a straight up hole in the wall blue collar bar that serves pizza, nothing else. We were in town for a Kraken game and ate here among a few other places in this area. Lets get this straight right now, this is not a pizza place with a bar, it is a bar that serves pizza. Is it great pizza, probably not but it is good pizza that is worth the stop.They also serve until almost 2am, which you cannot find anywhere else in that area. If you want great pizza then look West about one block and go to Zeeks. We found the staff to be funny and super engaging. Anyways, we ordered the Indian pizza with raw tomato and it was cooked perfectly. OVERALL: 7/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 3.5/5 - rounded to 4/5). This place opens until 2am, so if you want a late night bite, this is the place to be. The late night happy hour (10pm to close) is nice since the small 2 topping pizzas are more than enough to feed two people. I will give a "plus" that this place is open suuuuuuper late (think 2am, or later), but it doesn't open until around 11am or noon. I would recommend this place as a late-night drinking spot, since a lot of places will close around 12am-1am, but even still, for Belltown, it's not a bad place to grab a drink and watch a sports game with friends. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 7/10. The primary item this place is known for (hint: it's in the name) is pizza, but this place has options for calzones, as well as some sandwiches, appetizers, and salads. I don't fault the lack of options on the establishment - it's meant more as a bar/pub/pizza joint; if you're expecting a full-fledged restaurant menu, you came to the wrong place. For what they have, it's decent. The midday happy hour / late night happy hour menus changed a bunch, but they've seemed to settle nowadays; the daily specials are somewhat arbitrary, but the late-night happy hour seems consistently good. 2) FRESHNESS: 7/10. The hot food is made "fresh", but I can never tell if the source is from a freezer (frozen chicken before being fried, or pre-made calzones that are then heated before being served). I know the pizzas are generally fresh as the small pizzas I usually order are custom (bacon and pineapple on the two-topping happy hour special), but they take a while to make (roughly 10-20 minutes). 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 7/10. Slices are a bit more expensive now at $3.50/slice (used to be $3/slice in 2018, but I haven't seen it that cheap since). Typically speaking the late-night happy hour, and the general happy hours are relatively well-priced, especially for individual small pizzas ($8, decently filling). This rating would have been 8-8.5 back when the slices were $3, but nowadays, I don't think the regular food menu prices are worth getting unless you're not worried about price, and even then, I don't think the value is amazing for the portion size (it's *roughly* as expected, or smaller). 4) SERVICE: 7/10. The food can take a while to come out since it's typically two people working - one working the bar, and one in the back making the food. This typically results in long-ish wait times for personal (small) pizzas or food that requires tedious preparation; for the most part, slices are the fastest (obviously - they're in the display case), and any hot food is probably the slowest. Sometimes it can be hard to locate the person at the bar, or order, since, as I said, there's typically only two people working (that I can tell). During busy periods you could end up waiting up to 15 minutes to order a slice, since the clear instructions at the front are "ORDER AT THE BAR" (which results in the bottleneck). 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 7/10. Ambience is great since they have two individually-controllable TV's for which to watch sports programs on. I watched the Leafs lose spectacularly to the Bruins last year in game 7 of the playoff series... That was not a fun night, but that's more due to the game result than of anything the store did. Pitchers of beer were great - selection is awesome, since the choices are all worthy of trying at least once (except for the light beers, but honestly I don't like light beer *anywhere* so yeah). Generally speaking the atmosphere used to be nicer, but I attributed that to the pinball machines along the side wall (which have since been removed in favour of adding more tables). The staple beer I'll get on tap is the Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, which is one of my all-time favourites anywhere in Seattle! read more

Would choose 0 stars if possible. Despite going in weekly to pick up a sandwich and occasionally have a drink, the bartender told me I was aggressive because I put my motorcycle helmet on the bar, stumbled a bit because I was wearing motorcycle shoes that don't properly support an injured foot while walking, and asked for a sandwich. Then I got to enjoy a patron trying to pick a fight with me because I parked my motorcycle on the sidewalk where nobody was walking at a time when literally nobody was walking around town. They had absolutely no pizza by the slice available which is basically the whole concept of this place. Two things you must know before I make any comments. 1. I grew up in town in x Massachusetts where the population was approximately 75% Italian-American so you either made pizza at home ate over your friend's house and someone in the family made it at home or you went to a pizza shop in town and you knew the family who owned the shop (and who was working in the kitchen that night). 2. I rarely order delivery since I'm a good cook and a creative one and I haven't found any delivery that justifies the exorbitant costs attached to it.
