Considering the girl who added my toppings touched all the meats and veggies with the same gloves, I'm really hoping I don't catch any sort of bacterial or pathogenic sickness from it. It's a real sanitary issue. I watched her and got grossed out that she went straight from pepperoni to bell pepper. Staff is clearly not hygienic when it comes to food safety. Idk what's happened in the last months since I've been here, but customer service kinda sucks. Went to evening shift on Saturday October 29. We went in line, and there was a lady handling the order line at 7:30 who was taking people's orders and giving a lecture at the same time. She lectured the Latino family in front of me on making the order as a family and not separate... or something to that effect. Super awkward, we could all hear it, and I felt so bad bc they just wanted to enjoy a family meal... my turn in line, I then ordered the value meal and read it wrong to mean a pizza and salad plus drink, turned out it was pizza OR salad plus drink, and she did not hesitate to correct me LOUDLY. Later at the cash register, I forgot again because during the long line I had that narrative in my head, and the cashier, who was nice, forgot to ring me up for my salad, and I mentioned the value meal, and another worker, mentioned "we already explained it to her" again, quite loudly and with a tone. My niece and I were just trying to have a nice night together, and it's workers like these that just bring such negativity to an environment. These two workers I recognize as having worked here a long time. How they still treat people like this is beyond me. Would explain the exasperated faces some of the workers have- reminds me of when I worked in a toxic environment... Will go to Pieology, they're consistently nicer there... This was my first time trying this Seattle chain in California! The friendly and fast service is consistent across state lines, even during peak dinner hour on the weekend. There are a lot of customization options, so there is definitely something for everyone. The pizza tasted great: the ingredients were very fresh and perfectly cooked. The portion is big, so I shared one MOD pizza with my friend. The restaurant was also clean throughout. Overall, wonderful experience! read more

I will never be back to this location. There was a long line with 1 employee making the pizzas. In the meantime, they prioritized online orders ahead of customers who took the time to come in person to spend their money. This is a poor customer service model. I instead went across the way to Chipotle, and they had 4 employees working the line, and we got through in a flash! They have a separate area for online orders to avoid slowing down in person orders. That's the way to do it. read more

I've been to Blaze Pizza a dozen times, so I decided to try one of the competitors. Instead of a Build Your Own, I thought I would try one of the pre-designed ones - the Caspian (BBQ sauce and chicken). Bad idea. They put barelyyyy anything on the pizza. For example, there were only four red onion rings placed on the whole pizza. The only thing I asked to be added extra was basil, and they barely sprinkled any of the dried basil crumbs on it. Of course, you can ask for more to be added and it's all the same price. However, I just wanted to try getting one of the pre-designed ones as-is for the first time. Next time I won't... If you're going here, definitely just do the build it yourself option so that you can get as many toppings as you want, with as much of each as you want. I get the idea that they're stingy with all of the pre-designed ones. As for service... I went on a Friday night and it was veryyy busy. The line took quite a long time. The employees putting toppings on the pizza did not seem too friendly. They were just trying to get through all the people. EDIT: I decided to give it another chance, this time doing a Build Your Own. That was MUCH better, as I had as many toppings as I wanted. However, they still seemed a bit stingy compared to Blaze Pizza. The pizza size is slightly smaller, they give less of each topping, and even the crust is thinner. Both my pizza and my husband's were burned on the edges, and the crust was just very thin and crispy, with none of the slightly chewy texture that makes it good. My husband's had quite a few big pockets of air in the crust. All in all, Blaze is better. You get more for your money, and you don't have to worry about it being burned. read more

If I could leave no stars I would, I was in there enjoying my pepperoni pizza when the manager Nina lashed out on an employee who works in one of the surrounding businesses. She then hid in the back of the restaurant once confronted about the situation. I've never seen a manager act in such an unprofessional manner! First time trying this place today, we ordered the garlic cheese bread and Caspian pizza with mega dough crust. The Caspian pizza was great, the only thing about the pizza was the employee put red sauce instead of BBQ on it but thankfully we noticed before it got the toppings on it. Idk if he was new or if he just messed up, but after we mentioned it to the one putting on the toppings she fixed it. The BBQ sauce was delicious, definitely what I wanted it to taste like. The garlic cheese bread was ehh, I wasn't a fan personally, it was too doughy? Didn't have enough cheese on the edges either, most was just the "crust dough". I wouldn't order it again. The service today was pretty fast, maybe 30 mins with a line. Everyone seemed decent. My biggest issue is them touching the "paper" whatever it is they write the order on with a sharpie and then touching the dough, kinda grossed me out. They did wear gloves but what's the point if you touch other things and then the food? It's not as bad if it wasn't being cooked in a hot oven killing the bacteria but it don't make sense to me. I was in the area looking for a restroom. The public restroom at the shopping center was closed, so I asked a gal walking by if she knew where the nearest restroom was. She said there was one in MOD Pizza which was right near where we were. Turns out she was an employee of MOD Pizza. I was so appreciative that I decided to have one of their pizzas while I was there. You get to choose your pizza crust, sauce and toppings. I mainly went with recommendations of the employee that made it for me because I kept asking what toppings do they recommend. Great food, most of the staff was nice I wish I would've gotten the name of the lady today 11/16/2023, shes probably 30s/40s, had dark hair, beanie,and braids. She was very rude when I came in, she asked can I help you with attitude, I said my name she said did you hear your name? I didn't call it, AGAIN with attitude. 3 seconds after she gave my pizza, I asked about the sides, she said did you see the paper on the box? It says sauce so it's in the box, every time I've ever gone the sauce has been handed not in box. Her attitude was extremely rude and uncalled for. One of the worst services in California. Walked in and the lady with the green beanie immediately made suggestions towards me which could be seen as racially insensitive. She asked if I would like fried chicken on my pizza and if my Asian friend if he wanted any dog with his salad. It was a joke but definitely offensive and inappropriate. I was stared at the whole time while trying to enjoy my dinner and the manager yelled at my group for not paying. We paid. They forgot a pizza and they still insisted on a large tip. As I wrote this review in the eating area a worker approached me and asked what I was doing. I am very uncomfortable and upset with this service. Pizza wasn't good either. I love MOD pizza but the quality of the pizzas here have gone done. The past several times I've taken home the pizza only to realize the bottom of the pizza is burnt. It's pretty sad because this is my usual go to place for pizza of all the fast food chains. I think this is happening because of the new team. The old team 99 % were mindful and observent to take the pizzas out before they became burnt on the bottom. I really hope management sees this review and reminds the new team of this time sensitive step. I know they probably changed the process of ordering too so that they could speed the process but I really liked watching my pizza get made the way I want it to. This place is HORRIBLY ran, the employees touch your pizza with their bare hands. They shake the bottles with their finger covering the spout with no gloves on. Mod pizza has been a Sunday favorite before seeing a movie with our family for last 4-5 yrs. But most recently the last few visits we have been subject to long painful waits to order and sit down. This time we actually left to eat at another restaurant so we could actually make our movie time. FYI we arrived 2 hours early which all that time was not set to wait in-line to place a order. Sad to say the crew running the kitchen and register are less than qualified to be there. Our wait this time in line consisted of 45 mins and still 5 people in front of us yet to order. It would've been an hour wait just to order. We watched the orders be placed and pizzas set and no one was in charge to fire them. 9 pizzas on the rack for online orders and the ones being placed by customers were 7 deep. 16 pizzas on hold and you have hungry, angry customers waiting for staff to do there job. So we actually left... it's really the restaurants major down fall to not provide a staff and ambiance that reflects the name and reputation that it's been upholding for so long. If this is where the company is going your business with is no longer of value to us. I hope this will be seen by the owner or management so that you know the disappointment is not only seen by us, as well by all the customers in the restaurant tonight. Just recently moved to the area we used to go to pieology all the time but MOD is the closest pizza place like that to us now. My daughter is a pizza obsessed kid so we were excited to have a place like pieology. Every time i go in it's something. The first time i tried to brush it off they looked understaffed. It's just becoming a thing now every time i go in the staff is rude or just not attentive to the customers. It's a hit and miss if they even say hi. They are more worried about their own conversations. And god forbid you tell them while you are having your pizza made you want sides or ranch they get annoyed and tell you you need to tell the person making your pizza you want those. We went in the other day and i have a puppy that's in training to be a diabetic service dog (mind you she's in the first stages of training she's a puppy still) the what I'm assuming is the manager asked me if she was a service dog i said in training yeah she then she uh well okay since it's early and there's not a lot of people I'll allow you to go in with her..as long as she doesn't bark or anything. you are joking me right? I get her asking if she's a service dog totally fine i don't mind that but "allowing" me to go in with her? Then while we were in there she seemed super annoyed wasnt patient with me, and my toddler and my dog. It was like she was just wanting us to get out of her hair. I've had her help us before and it's the same service every time..awful! Oh and my toddler (who wanted to carry her drink) spilled i said I'm sorry my kid spilled her drink right here the two people working looked at me like are you kidding me? I liked the Mexican street taco flavoring concept so much I tried to replicate my own at home. Menu is easy to read. Prices are fantastic. Under $10 for a medium with as many toppings as you want and no extra charge for the toppings. Wow!!! Worth the 35 minute wait. I would recommend going during a less busy time of day or ordering ahead. Great vibe inside and wonderful food.
