Think I just found my new favorite pizza place. Customer service was polite. Pick up order was ready in 10 to 15 minutes just like they said. The shop is small not to sit down type of thing. Tried the meat lovers and the pesto spinach pizzas, but was disappointed with both. They both lacked any flavor. Also ordered bread sticks with garlic butter on them and a side of the strongman sauce that is used on their pizza, those also lacked any flavor. Just a basic 3 star pizza! Was looking online and the description of the pizza said "GARLIC BUTTER CRUST" However it was the complete opposite and the reason for the 3 star review. The pizza was decent. Had an ok taste. Nothing to write home about. Was a basic pepperoni pizza. Not amazing and not terrible. But when you got to the crust. Taste like you were eating the cardboard box it came in. Dry, hard and flavorless I saw a couple other reviews saying the same thing and I should have taken their word for it. It cost $20 for a large pepperoni. You'd be better off grabbing a little caesars pizza for a fraction of the price. read more

Strongman Pizza is strong on toppings. It was incredibly hot out and we decided to have it delivered. While it took a long time from order to delivery, the delivery person was very courteous and apologetic for the length of time. I might have missed it at time of ordering, but there is a $5.35 up charge for delivery. The order process is incredibly flexible and intuitive. The amount of options are tremendous - you can have it your way. There are more sauce options than at your usual place. We ordered half Meat Lovers and half Fungi. The outside crust is brushed with garlic butter. I couldn't taste the garlic but my wife could, and she thought it added flavor. The Meat Lovers side had a ton of meat toppings (see my pic). It had so much that, while I could tell the pie had sauce, other than the heat I couldn't tasted the sauce - which was fine for me. There was spiciness and richness from the various meats, heat from the sauce and the right balance of crust to hold it all together. The crust wasn't thin, but on the thinner side. There was ample cheese that gave a nice chew and rich gooeyness to the bite. Admittedly I was a bit overwhelmed by the Meat Lovers that the Fungi appeared to be simple and straight-forward. The mushroom flavors came through, yet the heat of the Strongman sauce complimented them and wasn't overpowering. We had pepperonis on this half, and since they were mild it also complimented the mushrooms. This is a solid straight-forward pizza. read more

Delicious!! We were camping nearby and one of our group suggested pizza. I wasn't part of the restaurant selection and with pizza that often means you're eating the cheap stuff. The perfectly filling but not very satisfying, warm calories kind of a meal. And that's what I was prepared for. So you can imagine my joy when I see a variety of pizzas with an interesting combination of toppings. And then I dig in and confirm "This pizza is amazing!!" The first slice was great so I tried a different kind for slice #2. And that was so good I tried a different kind for slice #3. And I repeated that process far past the point where I was full. Strongman Pizza is just too good and I love their easy ordering website. *This is only a takeout or delivery pizza place*. No dine-in. I have never had a bad experience at Strongman Pizza. Not a bad place to get some 'za! We had some issues utilizing a BOGO 50% coupon in a local ad, but the worker over the phone was super helpful guiding us through the process. Their mobile order UI is a bit funky so ordering via phone or computer might be the best bet. It's located in a strip mall plaza in Downtown Redlands with some other businesses like a nail salon and an acai bowl place. Lots of parking no issue there and when we arrived our pizza was warm and ready. PRO-TIP: You can ask for extra packets of red chili powder, parmesan cheese, utensils and plates for free! We got the: 1) Hawaiian Fire: -It's a Hawaiian style pizza with bacon, Strong sauce as a base with buffalo sauce drizzled on top, and crushed red pepper. -Has a nice decent heat that remains after a couple bites. -Not too spicy in my opinion, but my brother's gf said it was really hard to eat a second slice so that might be dependent on how weak or strong you are regarding spicy foods. -I'd get this again or def customize a pizza with the Strong sauce base for sure. 2) Fungi: -Alfredo sauce base, HELLA mushrooms (very good), basil, and spinach. -For some reason, it was a bit to salty for me straight outta the box but microwaving the leftovers in the next couple days made it super good and yummy to me. -So very strange lol. We also ordered some extra Strong Sauce! It's a "spicy" marinara. Not super spicy at all but had a little bit of heat to it that made our pizza much yummier. We called over the phone and ordered a large veggie and extra-large pepperoni pizza. They were ready with our order within 15 minutes. We loved both pizzas and would probably come back. Had a dream about pizza& thought of Strongman Pizza. I haven't had their pizzas in a while. Ordered Pepperoni & the Fungi both med size. It's still the best LOCAL pizza delivery in Redlands. I ordered delivery but forgot the gratuity. I had to get into my quarters, and well, the delivery guy didn't mind. I also called Strongman to let them know. Their staff is soooo cool. Pizza! What can be more "American" than this Italian import?! These days, nothing says American Food more than pizza (with the possible exception of the hamburger, of course!). It's been a staple of the American palate for decades now and it's become more American than Italian. No matter where you go, almost every geographic region of the USA has its own variation of it (New York, Chicago, Detroit, etc). Some places, like the Gourmet Pizza Shop, for instance, turn pizza into an art form with over 80 different variations. Strongman Pizza, however, focuses on quality; and they do it very, very well. If any of you kind readers are familiar with (and love!) "Pisa Pizza" in Highland, I can almost guarantee you're going to be a fan of Strongman. They taste *that* much alike. How I discovered Strongman was kinda funny. Years ago, the wifey and I were weekend regulars at such places as Hangar 24 and Escape Craft Breweries and we would often see Strongman Pizza being delivered to customers to enjoy with their beer. I mentioned this to a dear friend and co-worker of mine who raved and raved about them, so we had to give it a try! The location itself is nothing special. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place located in a plaza in downtown Redlands. Their pizza is consistently some of the best that my family and I have had. They offer salads and sandwiches as well - but Pizza is their strong point. Their ingredients always taste fresh, and their pizza crust is *just* thick and chewy enough to hold up and complement the toppings but not so thick as to think you're filling up on just the crust. The crust is usually perfectly balanced between crispy and chewy. One thing that I LOVE about their pizza (and why I compare it to Strongman), is they have the PERFECT sauce/cheese ratio. That is to say, they don't drown their pizzas in the sauce. They are more cheese-forward, with the sauce in the background to enhance the taste of everything else on the pie. THIS RATIO IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! Some places don't seem to understand that and they turn their pizza into a gooey, saucy mess that is bound to ruin your shirt! Their prices are also very reasonable for the size and quality of their pizzas; and they have all the specialty pizzas that you'd expect (Meat Lovers, Veggie, Hawaiian, etc). And yes...YES YES!!! They offer cashews as a topping. Anybody who knows anything about the history of pizza in Redlands knows this is a must.. and a suitable homage to the long-gone Gay 90's Pizza Parlor, Seriously though, Strongman has become one of our "go-to" spots when we want to order pizza for home. We don't even consider places like Pizza Hut, Papa Johns's, or Domino's anymore. Plus, we love the idea of patronizing local shops so we keep our dollars local. Try them, I'm almost certain you'll agree they are among the best in town. read more

Overall, was a good experience ordering pizza delivery. The staff was very friendly over the phone and delivery was quick! We tried 3 things: Meat lovers pizza: 7/10. Loaded with toppings and cheese, this pizza doesn't dissapoint. The dough is a little chewy and it is light on the sauce Buffalo Wings: 8/10, great flavor and spice Antipasto salad- 6/10, came with way too many mushrooms which is unusual for this salad. This is a tricky review for me to write. Yelp offers 3 stars as OKAY and 4 stars as GOOD. The two pizzas we ordered were good -- but the sense I'd never order this pizza again unless in a pinch drags it down to 3 stars. Let's talk of the positive first. The online ordering process online was easy and the delivery faster than promised. By like 10 minutes faster. So yeah, if I were painting a house and just needed some pizza fast -- based on the high ratings of this place -- I'd re-order in a heartbeat. My problem is that this kind of pizza falls in the 'better than Dominos and Pizza Hut but not by much' category. It's not Italian pizza but American pizza, which makes it as blunt as it is ordinary. The cheese was generous and delish -- and the toppings just fine. But the Strong sauce? It tasted like ketchup with a ton of italian seasonings and some ground up red pepper. The bread was a little heavy -- which is nice if you've just done some yard work but a bit much if you didn't, you know? What was weird for me is that I started to get the feeling that this local chain was a national chain in disguise. For if I was Dominos one way I'd steal pizza business is secretly becoming my own 'Mom and Pop' 'keep it local' competitor. An exercise in top secret rebranding. If Blaze delivered to my door, I'd rather order their pizza. Which is weird because it is in no way the best pizza out there. This pizza place is one of my favorites in the area. They have a lot of good toppings, and ordering online is pretty easy. They almost always have some specials for discounts which is nice.
