UPDATE: I must admit customer recovery and communication from MOD has been excellent. I received messages from 2 different people and they both seemed genuinely disappointed in my experience. Both offered to send me a gift card. As far as the pizza itself- I still don't know because I haven't had the chance to go back. But my friend thought it was good so I will update my star rating to reflect the excellent customer service from Nicolette and Ron. My bestie heard about this place and wanted to try it out. So we went on Easter Sunday. We arrived to see the line out the door. We patiently waited for 45 minutes. There were lots of families and kids so I'm guessing that's why the line was very slow moving. That and the fact there was only like 2 people working on the "assembly line". The employee said this was completely normal- the line out the door. So we finally get to the counter and the employee says give her a few more minutes. She picks up a stack of call-in/to-go orders and starts on them. So I whisper to my bestie quietly and half jokingly that this will be a 1 star on Yelp. She must have had heard bc she immediately apologized and took our order. We make our way down the line adding toppings and we pay. I was STARVING by this point. So we wait another 15 minutes or so for our pizzas to come out of the oven. The young lady calls my friend to come pick up his pizza. I go with because they put our pizzas in the oven at the same time. My pizza wasn't ready so she said give it a few more minutes. I wait another 5. My bestie is half way through his pizza which he says is quite tasty- but I really wouldn't know would I? Why? Because my pizza just disappeared. So she wants to remake it for me but by this time my bestie is finished eating and we have other things to do. At this point we've been in this place like an hour and a half. Still no food for me. So I'm irritated and I just want a refund. The young man "attempts" to refund my $11 but says the computer isn't letting him. So another guy comes, apologizes, says this doesn't happen often- but obviously someone took the wrong pizza. He offers me two free pizza coupons. I didn't want the coupons because honestly I don't ever care to come back to this place. It's not like there's a shortage of pizza places in the area i.e. Russo's. With no choice really I took the coupons and left. It seems to me this system is flawed. They're mixing in pizzas to go with dine in, with nothing more to go on besides my name on the paper. Then the pizza is sitting on the counter after coming out of the oven- with no paper underneath so no name to go off of. It's easy to see how someone could take my pizza by accident. So I've slept on it a night- and decided to give 2 stars instead of 1 bc even though I didn't want the coupons- they gave me 2. Will I use them? Maybe if I call in the order because I sure as hell won't ever be waiting in line there again. read more

Staff is friendly and fast. Gets busy early and there is a line sometimes. Seating is limited but if you time it just right like we did, you will get a table inside. Line was really long when we arrived of course it was at prime dinner time. We order 4 MOD pizzas, a mini and a salad. Everyone thought the food was excellent. I think the one thing that would benefit the store is more seating room. With a long line and most seats taken most people were taking their food to go. This was my first time trying MOD Pizza. I heard about MOD Pizza from people in my small group at church; they gave the place great reviews. I ordered 3 minis and a MOD size pizza. The food was hot and cooked very quickly. The lemonade was homemade and had a very good natural taste. Some places make lemonade too sweet; MOD made a perfect tea and lemonade. Also. the pizza is artisan style which has way less bread than other styles of pizza. The artisan style pizza allows one to actually taste the sauce and meat on the pizza. The only thing that prevented me from giving MOD Pizza 5 stars is the limited seating space. The line was long but it moved fast. But, the seating is very limited inside. There are some outside seating areas but in Cypress (suburb of Houston) it can be VERY hot outside. Overall, the prices are reasonable and the restaurant is family friendly. So disappointed. Limp salad and burnt pizza. I wanted a Dillon James (basically a margherita pizza) with olives and sun-dried tomatoes added to it. When we brought it home, I discovered not only was it burnt, but they left out all the margherita pizza ingredients. The romaine lettuce in the salad was super-limp, like day old already-dressed salad you might have for leftovers in your fridge. The only up-side was my kids' pizzas weren't burnt or wrong. (Then again, one was plain cheese and two were just pepperoni, so there shouldn't have been much to mess up.) We usually eat at the Mod Pizza in Vintage and have always enjoyed it. We were excited to have one closer, but I guess we'll keep going to Vintage. I don't like it when businesses give you sub-par food just because you are taking it home, and they can get away with it. read more

We go back because the pizza is excellent and I just discovered they have Karbach on draft. Wait times feel shorter with a Karbach in hand. Hate doing this because I LOVE MOD and this won't deter me from coming back, but my customer service experience tonight was wildly subpar. The guy who got us started asked what I wanted and he just stared at me with a blank face for about 20 seconds before asking "name?" Now I get that I don't have the easiest name in the world, but he asked me to spell it for him which I was happy to do, then after I did so he messed it up and said "well you were going way too fast". Okay, whatever. Maybe I was. When we go to pick up our pizzas the girl hanging the orders out (glasses and winged eyeliner.. no name tags here) had our pizzas on the wrong paper. Not a big deal at all. But then she looked up at us and said "is this for Corinne....or however you say that" as she scoffed and rolled her eyes. I work a similar job at a coffee shop and deal with difficult names every day, but would never dream of treating a customer how I was treated today. Zero effort to make a connection and try to make things right. I was really disappointed tonight by this location of a chain that I typically love for their energy and customer service. It is priced up there for the experience but you would get more pizza elsewhere. Would try here once in a while since more bang for you buck elsewhere, but if you like the gourmet style pizza and customizable meal then you should try it out. Really unique pizzas in a great atmosphere. Your pizza is the same price despite the number of toppings, your price is determined by size. They also have custom pizzas, one of which is what I ordered. I got the Dominic and their homemade lemonade. I ordered to go. They were pretty busy at noon, with a line of about 10 people. They make pizzas in front of you and had my order out not more than 5 minutes after I ordered. Seemed a bit understaffed, but overall great place. read more

I also had a salad, which could have used a bit more dressing but otherwise, it was fresh and I watched her make it.
