I thoroughly enjoy MOD Pizza. When I'm craving pizza, I crave MOD. Apart from the juicy and delicious delectable pizza something caught my eye. When I walked in to the establishment, my blue orbs scanned the place looking for an adequate seating area but my eyes landed in something quiet different that day. I shuffled my badonkadonk up farther into the establishment as I get captivated by the fair lad who was working behind the counter. A tall man with nice broad shoulders, apricot skin and a nice shoulder tattoo captivated my gaze. This delectable man seemed to be working extremely hard behind the counter, he made my pizza rather quick and skillfully, naturally of course you could just tell from his slender and baby skin smooth hands. Came in tonight 1-11-19 with my family. There was one friendly girl working the POS and everyone else had a disgusting attitude. The girl at the end starting the pizza's and orders had an attitude and was very snappy. My sister comes here a lot and has never seen them act this way before. There was definitely something in the air tonight. The African American girl that had a "boot" on her left leg had the same attitude as well. I thanked her after she threw our plates on the counter after calling out our names and the tone in her voice was not professional and she gave zero eye contact to me, my family and other customers. All I heard from her was anger, she was pissed off for sure, leave your sh*t outside before you come into work and be professional. The floors and tables were dirty too. The staff could focus on the cleanliness of MOD. The other African American guy working tonight was just wiping trash onto the ground from the tables; where is the broom and dust pan? The counters where all the condiments are as they're building our pizza's were a mess too. They're work space should be clean at all times, never been to a place so dirty. The larger man working the oven was drinking his beverage and leaning against the wall and not wearing an apron. If he was thirsty he could drink it out of the customers view. Pretty sure that's a health code violation. Especially the venti Starbucks beverage sitting on the mantle of the oven. They should improve their customer service. read more

I was pleasantly impressed by this place. Its a little cafe. It was really crowded and I did not go in expecting a lot. But, the customer service was great. Servers were friendly. Wait times weren't long. We were able to find a table easily. I ordered the Mod size make my own pizza. I got the pesto and chose all the veggies I wanted and the pizza was ready in a few minutes. People have been talking highly about the MOD Pizza in Colorado Springs, but we've never been. It took meeting with friends from the Denver area to finally make it. We were blown away by the affordable prices, the friendliness of the staff, and the dang awesome food! All the pizzas and salads are custom-made just for you. So throw the hot chili peppers, or extra bacon on there if you wish. Dream it up and make it happen! The "MOD" pizza and a large salad was plenty of food for 2 people. Oh, and I'll mention again... Was so excited to see MOD coming down this way to Castle Rock! Have visited another location nearby, and love how you can create your own pizza, with plenty of fresh toppings. I do wish the jalapenos they use were fresh. You can also get a build your own salad, which is nice if you are being much more health conscious as the pizza, while it seems super healthy, is definitely not the best thing health-wise on their menu. The employees are very friendly and seem very genuine. I also love how they have a picture of Castle Rock inside the restaurant, with the MOD logo on top of the rock! My coworkers and I were so impressed by this business and one of the managers, that we actually asked him to come to where we work to talk about what it is like to start a business! He did an amazing job and really gave our students some wonderful ideas about financial literacy and economics. I have a feeling they will continue to do very well here. I'd read reviews for this place but no one stated the obvious difference in this place and any other pizza joint nearby. It's a design your own pizza place with a moving line and ingredients like you see at a Subway. Yes, they have a board at the front with some of their own concoctions named (eg. Jasper, Tristan, Caspian, etc.) but it's perfect to build your own with what you like - prices based on size of pizza, NOT ingredients. I got the mini which was perfect for me, though I noticed a lot of kids had that size. The crust is very thin and once loaded to your specs is run through the pizza oven. Very speedy process! Your pizza is called out by the name you gave when you ordered (they write it on the parchment your crust is set on). They also do salads, built the same way, so you can do either or both! They have a good choices of teas, lemonades and Coke products but they also make shakes (chocolate ,strawberry, vanilla). My only complaint for my first visit was that the ingredients didn't make it near enough the edge of the pizza, but were mostly all right in the middle. read more

I must say, thing have started to change here for the better (I was really hesitant). I ordered a MOD and got decent service and a great tasting pizza. It was a relatively slow evening, but service was much better than it was last time. I would LOVE to see someone more friendly on the register not just a perfunctory performance of duties, but I guess exchanges of pleasantries aren't a foodie requirement and no harm done. I want to start by saying that I love Mod Pizza. It seems that each time I go, the pizzas come out faster and faster. If speed is what it's all about than fine but the quality of the pizza is getting worse. Today I ordered my pizza and garlic strips. By the time I sat down my order was ready?!?!?! Usually it takes 5 minutes or so but not lately. The garlic strips weren't even golden brown :( and my pizza barley had the cheese melted. Both crusts were soggy. I will come back a few more times but if it keeps getting worse then I won't! Slow down pizza guy ~ and cook things a little longer so there hot and crispy. So sad!! read more

Grabbed lunch here before checking out the outlets. It's kind of like Chipotle or Subway for pizza. Really good pizza too. You pick the size, type, toppings, everything. They have some pre-picked types to choose from, but you can easily modify those as well. They have pretty great lemonade as well, I think it was blackberry. Delicious. It's kind of loud and busy (seems to be a popular lunch spot for offices in the area), so I don't know if I'd eat in the restaurant a lot. Best pizza for the price south of Denver. Pay a flat rate for your size pizza and add whatever fresh topping you want! So many unique choices to choose from or create your own pizza art. You choose from a couple sizes then can pile on any topping/sauce/cheese you want. They will then drizzle their own selection of delicious sauces after pulling fresh from the oven. They will cook however you like and even cut it however you like. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and clean. Selection of fountain drinks or bottled favorites such as San Pellegrino. The outdoor seating is covered and I would imagine very nice to enjoy the fresh mountain air...when not 95 degrees outside. Awesome spot. We went to get change and came back and she walked away from the register and made someone else check us out while she stood there and watched. Sign says they close at 10 pm. So I'm use to MOD pizza in where I live, and the customer service and pizza making skills are AWESOME! So I thought while visiting I would give the one in Castle Rock a try. A BIG MISTAKE across the board. The first time I tried I learned that they were not taking walk in orders......weird but okay! So I had to stand outside and place a call in order. The rep on the phone took my order, gave me a total. I'm literally standing in front of the store so when its my time to go pick up my pizza they do not have my order. Not sure where and why the ball was dropped there, but I left with no pizza. It was the worse feeling to be in a new city looking for food and everything is close especially having to walk over to the pizza place. It was a multitude of inconveniences. They could not make my pizza because they were closing. Not sure why the person on the phone even took my order, and gave me a total and time to pick up. Okay so I said, it's not their fault let me try them again despite their previous poor attitudes and poor customer service. So I order a pizza through Uber Eats. My pizza is $13.00, the company or Uber charges $4.00 for service fees, and I tip the recommended amount. My total comes up to $26.00. It takes one hour for my pizza to arrive, so its no longer hot and fresh. They should have better packaging for pizzas that are being delivered. Also there are I know for sure two toppings missing from my pizza. It wa not worth the almost $30.00 I had to pay for this piece of crap! The only good news about this is I would NOT dare eat there again and soon I will be going back home to the MOD I love. The one in Castle Rock definitely needs some work. Very disappointing. I should have learned my lesson first time, I would rather not eat if I have to order from there again.....Like the first time I tried to order. read more

I've lived in Castle Rock for about 17 years, and the last thing this town ever needs is another dry cleaner, liquor store, church, or pizza place. But the pizza selection here in the rock, while plentiful just isn't very good. The service is usually worse- but that's sort of an Castle Rock constant when it comes to deliver food. I've tried to support all the local owned pizza places and some had their heydays for a short while. The last thing I expected when I tried this chain pizza shop was to love it. I have not ordered pizza so many nights in a row in decades. Partially because they always forgot my drink and I kept hoping they would make good on it. ( they did in the fourth time). Terrific pizza, I don't know why it's so much better than our other options. I've not craved pizza this much and often in ages. They are clearly putting drugs in the pizza to make it addictive. We loved this place when it opened several years back, but it has been a steady slide into mediocrity ever since. The pizza is still pretty darned good (but very inconsistent I presume due to a lack of training) but the place is filthy. The last straw for us came when we went there last week (after avoiding it for a couple months due to how dirty it had become) and walking in to see all of the tables on the patio had been taken away, most of the tables inside were blocked off, and although the menu sign still showed their beer options, the young girl at the register told us they no longer sold beer because of the pandemic (we'd been several times during the last 18 months of pandemic and got beer each time....strange). I pointed out that the menu still listed beer and she shrugged her shoulders saying "I know, it's irritating to us too". She then said this all stemmed from the fact that they couldn't get enough folks hired so they took several toppings off their pizza offerings, scaled back the menu, and did away with beer, while also scaling back on business hours. We've not been anywhere in Castle Rock where there wasn't a help-wanted sign on the front door, but we've not run into any instances where they took out seating and cut out menu items, at least not since the beginning months of the pandemic. That was the straw that broke this camel's back. We were leery already, but we'll not be back to Mod - certainly not this location anyhow - ever. Too bad because there are very few good artisan-crust style pizzerias in Colorado.....but we can't afford to get sick from unsanitary conditions, plus I like a beer with my pizza! I mean, everyone else was going there and the line going in was steady compared to the other eateries in the area.....so it has to be good right?!?! I had the Dominic....white sauce, fresh basil, sausage, asiago cheese. Delicious!!!!! I love all of the choices that aren't your standard fare, though if you're looking for just a cheese or pepperoni pizza you can have that also. They make it fresh for you, put it in the oven, and a couple of minutes later you have a hot, bubbly, yummy pizza. I like the concept of ordering also, compare it to a Subway or Chipotle as you walk down the line having them add toppings as they build your pizza. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Second time to Mod, first at this location, and first with my 8 year old son. In his words, which I agree with completely, this is not good pizza. Just because something is fast doesn't make it good. Everything, from the service to cooking time is rushed and it shows. Walking in there's the menu, which could simply say "here's our toppings, tell us what you want", but no, there's all these pre-designed pizzas which I guess are supposed to give you ideas? For those of us who want our own thing, the menu is confusing and unnecessary. Then you order, and if you order a custom pizza they look at you like you're being difficult and slow. Yes, I'll tell you what I want on my pizza, don't treat me like an idiot. Good luck communicating your order to the staff though as the place is so loud you'll be screaming to be heard and IF they are paying attention to you and not trying to rush you down the line MAYBE your pizza will be made correctly. For a place that makes a big deal out of being fast, it is sorta quick, but that comes with a downside. The pizzas could clearly use a couple more minutes in the oven. The center of the pizza, where you want that first bite to be perfect, is soggy crust that just hangs limply with the cheese and all your toppings sagging and sliding off. So much for that perfect first bite. I was actually relieved to be taking some leftovers home that I could grill and improve the crispness of the crust. Not a good sign if your customers are looking forward to taking food home and cooking it more. Some credit is due for being able to pay the same price for a pizza regardless of how many toppings you throw on it, and the toppings do have a fresh taste, but these two positives do not make up for all the other shortcomings. Sad to say, but I would much rather wait a little longer and get something more edible from any of the other large chain pizza places. read more

Came here with a friend and left before we finished eating. It was painfully loud. We couldn't even have a conversation. There were kids screaming and the chairs against the concrete are so loud when being moved. The music tries to compete with the volume of everyone talking and screaming. You can't even hear when they call your name for your pizza. They need to have some kind of buzzer or loud speaker for when your pizza is ready. Truly one of the most annoying things I've experienced. Maybe if this place was a bar, I'd be able to tolerate it. They need to figure out how to fix the echo in the building.
