This is my mom's favorite restaurant when she's craving fish and chips, and our recent visit did not disappoint! My husband's burger was flavorful and the meat well done, while my own strawberry fields salad was incredibly tasty with extra crunchy pecans and fresh fruit as a topper. The fish and chips was a massive hit with mom, with proof found in the rare lack of leftovers. We left with empty plates and full bellies, after experiencing phenomenal service from more than one worker. This location is not only well staffed, but above and beyond attentive to the needs of their paying customers. I had boys opening Culver's doors for my mom with her walker, as we both entered and exited the building. It's refreshing to realize that chivalry is not dead. I shouldn't have expected too much for a fast food chain but have heard rumors of Culver's legendary buttery burgers for some time, so I decided to give them a go. First of all, they have WAY too many items on their menu. Do a few things right vs trying to do everything sub-par! Also, $11 for a burger and small fries is too much, and it wasn't even that good. For me, Culver's has always been a "go to" option for good quality fast food. Always clean and attractive, they have a great dining area. Born in Wisconsin, I have a natural affinity for their menu. The pork tenderloin is a favorite of mine. Last night, I ordered the pork tenderloin while going through the drive through. A wonderful young woman, Taylor, took my order. She was at the window when I got there to pay and pick up my sandwich. Taylor was simply delightful to interact with. After multiple delivery orders where we have constantly been missing items paid for, I issued a complaint directly through Culver's. I received a call from the new manager to discuss the reoccurring issues and was assured that this location is under new management and new training will be provided to avoid these issues in the future. I was offered coupons to make up for it but I politely declined. I said we would try again after a little bit. Welp, it's been a few weeks, we tried again, and this time we are missing a chicken finger (only received 3 from the 4) and the cheese sauce we were charged extra for. DoorDash has already denied a refund for the missing items so we just have to eat the cost. This isn't the first, second, third, or even fourth time this has happened. I'm reviewing because it's my favorite fast food restaurant in castle rock. We go about 3 times a month. The food is great, we especially like chicken and fish selection. The burger's are great also. It's always clean and nice inside. The service is good, not fantastic but good. Some days very friendly and fast and others it can be slow but I would rather they get it right than fast. My food took longer than expected, which meant my ice cream decided to start its own escape mission on the ride home. So, I left a polite review explaining what happened, figuring it would vanish into the customer service void where so many reviews go to die. Instead, I got Izabella. Izabella called not once, but twice, leaving friendly voicemails before finally catching me live. And what followed was one of the most genuine, pleasant customer service calls I've had in ages. She listened, laughed with me about my "melting custard catastrophe," and then went above and beyond -- sending a thoughtful letter and some coupons for more Culver's goodness. In a world where "press 1 for disappointment" is the standard, Izabella and her team reminded me what real hospitality feels like. He asked if I wanted some ice cream for a treat. It was sweet and I do love ice cream so we drove down. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant and I was impressed with the bright, clean interior. There are a lot of menu items so I had to look at it a minute. He knew what he wanted as he's familiar with this chain but I don't often eat there. I decided on a chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone. He went with an Oreo concrete mixer. His concrete mixer was a much better consistency than the one he had at Sonic the other night. Soft enough to eat but not runny. My chocolate ice cream was tasty. Not vanilla with chocolate sauce mixed in but actual chocolate ice cream. Thank goodness. The waffle cone was nice to munch on and the contrast of crunch and soft ice cream a mouthful of goodness. I have been a loyal customer of this location since it opened. Usually there once a week with my little dog. Last week when I went through the drive-through, they did not get the order correct so I went back through the drive-through and they corrected it. Today I went through the drive-through and again my order was incorrect so I went back through the drive-through to correct the order. I was explaining to the young lady in the drive-through just to let her know that there had been a mixup last week and one this week so that she could let management know. I was a manager for most of my career before I retired. We always listen to the customer so that we could address issues and make our service better. As I was explaining to the young lady and not complaining or yelling, the manager came over and was speaking over me and giving all kinds of excuses as to why nothing was correct. I tried to explain to her that customers appreciate being "" She handed me the original bag back with the cold fries in it and said they're not going to give you new fries. I looked at her and said my fries are cold now because you got the order incorrect and I had to come back and wait in the drive-through to get my burger corrected. While trying to explain that she walked away. The young lady told me to pull around the corner and they would bring my new order out. The manager brought it out and stood there with her arms crossed, holding my meal and looked at me and began with excuses again on being shorthanded, and they were trying to going on and on, and I looked at her and I said can I please have my order and she handed it to me and said don't you wanna talk to me? I calmly said to her you didn't have time for me before so I took my order as I'm driving away she yells at me don't come back. You're very rude. Really? I never raised voice once I was only trying to give constructive criticism so that they could watch for things that are happening continually to make their service better and I was treated like that. They just lost a loyal customer. I will not be returning to that location. I will now give my business to the Parker location it's a shame that a Castle Rock resident has to drive to Parker to eat at Culvers. This manager needs some courses on management skills. I truly love them cooking to order! I had always a great experience and quality food. Recently, it has fell off. Their Butterfield has crumbled in 10 minutes after ordering. I don't understand how you can mess up a pre-made menu. I've been to this location a few times now and every time the drive-thru line has been extremely long. This location is super understaffed especially around 1-2pm. The first bad experience I had, there was ice in my custard. I used to work at a Culver's, so I know it was clean water from washing off the scoops, but still unpleasant. The ice was probably the size of the spoon! They also forgot my cheese curd that time, which I just went around and they fixed instantly, but you still don't want to miss anything in your order. This time around, I was in the line for a total of 30 minutes from start to finish. I had to wait 10 minutes to place my order and 20 minutes until I could eat my food. This does not meet the expectation of under 10 minutes for food. I did have 2 fried foods which I know takes longer, but that's a MAXIMUM of 8 minutes when I'm the only person left in line. And even then, 2 people behind me got their orders faster than I did, one of which being a HUGE order that was in one of the large plastic bags. I simply had a crispy chicken sandwich, onion rings, and mini custard. This is absurd and I can't come back to this location until you hire more staff. Not to mention, my bun was cold! How do you mess that up, the instructions are on the wall. At least this time they put no pickles like I asked for. Unlike the last time where I got ice in my custard and pickles on a sandwich that had no pickles written alllll over the receipt. I will say though, the interior of the restaurant is very well kept and I had a pleasant experience when I came in around 10:30, but that's because no one else comes in that early so I didn't have to wait 30 minutes...
