Name sake!
Becky C.

Never had our name sake before so you know we HAD to stop by. Missed the custard sadly, but the butter double cheese burger and crinkles were on point. Id come here again! This location has a ton of staff and they are super on it. Great job... 2 thumbs up from cooperate!

He asked if I wanted some ice cream for a treat. It was sweet and I do love ice cream so we drove down. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant and I was impressed with the bright, clean interior. There are a lot of menu items so I had to look at it a minute. He knew what he wanted as he's familiar with this chain but I don't often eat there. I decided on a chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone. He went with an Oreo concrete mixer. His concrete mixer was a much better consistency than the one he had at Sonic the other night. Soft enough to eat but not runny. My chocolate ice cream was tasty. Not vanilla with chocolate sauce mixed in but actual chocolate ice cream. Thank goodness. The waffle cone was nice to munch on and the contrast of crunch and soft ice cream a mouthful of goodness. It's a large space and they have an attached parking lot. We sat and enjoyed our treats. Very relaxing.

Location (3 stars) On a main street but parking is limited. There is a parking garage connected to the building that the restaurant is in. It is tiny with sharp turns to access. I wouldn't take my truck there and try to park. Love the walkable street and local businesses. Atmosphere (5 stars) Lovely decor. Comfortable seating options. Full bar with television screens. Service (5 stars) Staff have been a delight during each visit. Food (5 stars) House made chips are fire. Tried the brussels sprouts, pretzel & queso, chips guac and salsa (not feeling the salsa), french onion soup, jam it up, island style crab rangoon, short rib enchiladas, and the spicy peach. Everything mentioned except for the salsa was on point. Simply delicious. Cleanliness (5 stars) Nice restrooms

It definitely had a kick to it, even without using much of the sauce on the side. Vegetables were good, but when they put the chicken on top of the fries, those end up getting a little soggy. Wanting to try something different, one daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich. While she wasn't terribly impressed at the start, the more she ate, the more she approved, deeming it to be "fine" and something she'd likely get again. The other daughter, also wanting something different, had the green chili burrito. She wasn't as impressed with the dish, saying it didn't have much taste, even after adding good amounts of salt and pepper. The burrito was described as "mid", which I guess means 'not very good.' Doubtful she orders this again. Service was fine at the start, but somewhat sporadic as the meal progressed. We needed to flag the waiter down for refills and to get our check...which sometimes happens when sitting in the bar area.

We opted to try a couple of different appetizers that include included the chips and queso as well as the knots with a side of jalapeño soup for dipping. The knots were also filled with a cheese and it was absolutely delicious, even without the mustard or soup for dipping. The chips and queso are basic and nothing special. I also opted to try the Sriracha chili burger and it had a great flavor, but felt it was lacking some type of salt. However, the fries were absolutely delicious. Overall, the service was great and I would definitely be back.

He was very nice, through and prompt. He was very patient with us and we really appreciated that. We were trying to decide on what we really wanted. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed ourselves.. Oliver came back and took our orders for the food... when I tell you everything was delicious, hot, and very flavorful. Shameka like her patty melt. Kenn and Antanaysiah grit that their steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. The Cajun shrimp and lobster linguine was mouth watering goodness. I loved that the Alfredo sauce was made from scratch, The pork chop was juicy and tender; so Asante had no complaints. The salmon was flaky and sweet so Vince liked the veggies that was with it. The bbq bacon wrapped shrimp was devine and sooo good. Josh and Candice really enjoyed them. Jade loved the taste of the couscous with the shrimp. The fries were hot and on point with the garlic Parmesan. KJ said his chicken wings were seasoned with just the right amount of sauce, The salad was crispy and yummy. They loved the creaminess of the mash potatoes and the texture of the veggies. The place was cleaned, neatly decorated and the bathrooms were clean too. Oliver was simply amazing. He took care of us and made sure everything was great!!!! To the young lady who took our picture Thanks....

As I have the past several times here, I went with the egg and carnitas tacos. I added a side of fresh fruit...both the eggs and fruit were very good. As the Benedict my wife loved is no longer on the menu, she had the avocado toast with eggs. She added a large size of the breakfast potatoes and was glad she did. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife. The other daughter tried the quiche for the first time and loved it. It is one of the better quiches around. Coffee is very good as well. Service was fine for the most part.

It's been our casual and fun go-to spot for a great brunch, lunch, or dinner to enjoy time together or watch a game! We know and enjoy good food and hope it will always be around! The owners are wonderful, and the staff they hire reflect that. Beyond that, what really matters to us, at least, is great food--and Hideaway delivers every time. With the ever-growing Castle Rock food scene, we admit we've strayed from time to time depending on what we're looking for (fine dining, etc.), but we always come back to Hideaway when we want consistently good food, friendly staff, and welcoming owners. We've never had a bad meal. Unfortunately, that's hard to say about other comparable places in the area we have tried (but to each their own). Best onion rings we've tried anywhere (chicken tenders, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, the Hideaway Signature Pasta--the list goes on), but honestly, everything on the menu we've ordered has been delicious, and every time we go, it takes us a while to decide since everything is so good! Hideaway has become something of a standard we compare to other similar establishments, and we look forward to dining here in the years to come!
