I've been going on and off several years since they're close to where I live. However today will be the last. My gel mani took 20 minutes start to finish. I was going for a milky pink color look. The tech wouldn't use the 3 selections I picked, so she picked out a pale natural shade that is streaky and lumpy, so now it looks like I have nothing on my nails. Tech could not have been less interested in what she was doing and was more interested in her phone. Final nail in the coffin was when she went digging around in what appeared to be her junk drawer and under her money to pull out cuticle nippers...no cleaning whatsoever. They need to be more careful with hygienic practices...you never know who's sitting in your chair. As for me, I will not be returning...they've gone waaay down in the quality of their work. I don't know if it was just my nail tech that did a horrible job but I won't be having her again. She coughed several times with and without using her arm to cover it. She was sweating so bad that she wiped her forehead with her hands and then continued to work on me without washing them. I got a gel manicure yesterday on Saturday and today is Sunday and the polish is ALREADY chipping off. She did a messy job with my nails. I am disappointed in that woman. I am extremely upset with MOD. I had my nails done by Kathy a month and a half ago for my son's wedding and five of my fingernails fell off within a week and two of my fingernails got fungus. I called her and told her that this happened, and I scheduled to go see her and I assumed that she would repair and fix my nails for free. However, she did repair my nails but charged me $55. I feel that that service should have been free. I have never lost a nail since I have been going there two years very disappointed in the customer service. I was looking for a good local nail salon since i was visiting from California. I found MOD as my closes location, walked in and was able to get in right away. Everything was fine until she decided to cut my toe nails super short and without asking. I don't like super short toe nails, not my style. She barely cut my cuticles, my nails were not fully colored, she rounded my big toe which looks deformed,oh and she basically told me that my only option was gel in my toes which i've never heard of because she didn't have anything close to my color. My manicure was by far the worst! I told her that one of my real nail was cracked from the side and I asked her to put some glue and she said it was fine without it..... within 24 hours my nail broke when i mentioned it and knew that was going to happen! I have had my acrylic nails on for less than a week and I am so disappointed in the quality and care I received from MOD. The man with the mustache that works there glued nail tips on that are too big for my nails. Kim didn't fix it and put too much acrylic on. Now they are chipped on the sides because they were not properly sized. This was low-quality, sloppy work. The man with the mustache also didn't push my cuticles down like another reviewer mentioned. I've been going here for years and I won't be back. I don't know if they're under new management or what, but it isn't the same friendly, high-quality place it used to be. No one bothers to introduce themselves or learn your name. Not even a year ago I'd go in and be greeted by name and walk out feeling like a million bucks. No stars needs to be an option. Will NEVER come back! The lady was sweet but caught my cuticle several times with the filing machine and the end result is messy to say the least. After more than an hour for your run of the mill dip without any cuticle work, I had to leave to get my kid off the bus. I don't know that I would have even stayed to have them clean up the mess on my fingers since I'd already been hurt several times. Lesson learned. Next time I'll just stick with my regular place even if they are closed for renovations. I'm going to go rub antibacterial cream into my cuticles now. read more

I recently had a nail salon that I had frequented often but they started to decline in their work so I embarked on the journey of finding a new nail salon. Which ladies, we know is difficult and daunting. So, I looked up reviews on here and found this place. While the inside is quite boring and could use some sort of decorations, their work is wonderful and the employees are super sweet! They even went above and beyond for my four year old, making her feel like a princess and got her Capri Sun. Try this place if you like Polished! Great place! We came in,four of us, and they were able to get us into chairs within 10 minutes. They offer complimentary snacks for adults and kids. Everyone is very nice and the prices aren't too bad. The second level pedi is $34. About average price. They also have a VIP room with 4 chairs and you can reserve it in advance. There are several people that work here from Polished, so you get the great service like there, but much closer to Home and not bad traffic. read more

I'll just go ahead and write a review while I'm finishing up my first appointment here. Long story short, they have the best massage chairs (a big check in my books ha!) and very friendly staff. They were very busy when I came in, but still were able to seat and accommodate me very quickly. Offered water, wine, coffee, cookies etc. I think it shows a lot of a salon when they keep their clients happy and coming back-- I could tell there were a lot of regulars walking through the door. I believe it was the owner who was very involved and interacted with a lot of customers. Just seemed like a very genuine establishment. I came in for a dip manicure. It was the most painful manicure I have ever had. All of my fingers were bleeding by the end. I kept telling her she was hitting skin with the drilling tool she was using and she said it was my fault because my hands had been washed. She also took the tool she used on my hands out of a box labeled clean and after she was done tossed the one with my blood on it back in with the others in the Tupperware, closed the lid and put all of the tools back in the cubby at her station. This place was recommended by another business owner. Glad I went! The place was clean and staff were friendly. Much better experience than another nail salon I visited. I had a pedicure and manicure. Color stayed on my toes for 2-3 weeks and French manicure (not shellac) stayed on for about a week. I have been coming here since the place opened and it is my go to nail salon. However, it really depends on who you get to do your nails. I recently had a TERRIBLE experience where a lady who clearly did not know how to do dip took over an hour on my nails and they CHIPPED 5 days later!! Unreal! However, I called and the manager said to come in and they would fix my chipped nails for me no problem. If you come here... I recommend calling ahead of time and requesting either Jimmy or Kim. Jimmy does a fantastic job at everything, especially Dip. He will work efficiently and my dip usually lasts a month (if I let it grow out that much) and won't chip or break off at all. Kim has been doing nails the longest out of all of the employees here and is the one who fixed my 5 day old chipped nails. She is extremely sweet and caring. Place is ok and appears clean. I just went to get my polish changed, as soon had days before gotten a manicure. This place is close to my job and so I gave it a try. I literally was asked 20 questions. Many of them repeated after I answered. No music and no sound on the one tv that was on, so the overly zealous question asking manicurist's questions were met with stares from the two other clients as it was deadly quiet. I've waited to write a review till I had gone several times. I had never been one to get my nails done but after being maid of honor in my best friend's wedding, I fell in love with manicures. So once I returned home, the search began to find a salon. I tried two different nail salons before finding MOD. Out of the five times I've been here, only once has there been any flaws. However, I pointed it out before leaving and they completely redid my nails to fix it. They regularly get new colors in so the selection is fairly large. Reasonable prices, super sweet women, and great work. I'm definitely a regular. Very important side note: only salon I've been to that trims my cuticles and they consistently don't split or peel! I think I've had my nails done here probably 4-5 times and one pedicure. They do a nice job and the prices are the usual. They take the utensils out of the autoclave bag so hopefully that means they are sanitary. Pretty standard dipping powder manicure and I feel welcome when I walk in the door. I have been getting a mani/pedi from Hanna every two weeks here for about a year and a half. She does an amazing job every single time and I have never left disappointed. I usually get a single color, but the few times I've asked for something trendy Hanna has always gone out of her way to make it exactly what I wanted. I've never had a bad experience here and everyone on staff is helpful and kind. If I've ever needed anything touched up or fixed between appointments they've been able to get me in and out quickly. Went here a few times as it was very close to our home....... gave it a few chances but honestly the service was terrible..... don't bother to make an appointment as they do not adhere to time whatsoever and the only reason they are getting a two star is because their work is good. There is not a better place to get your nails done in the OKC area. I knew this was my new favorite after my first visit. Both the gel and dip manicures always last for WEEKS. The environment is clean, bright and relaxed. I will gladly make the drive from downtown OKC because I know I can't get this level of service anywhere else. Love Mod! Went here for the first time sunday. Pedicure was amazing and everyone was really nice. My manicurist, on the other hand, didn't seem like she was having the best day. She seemed a little annoyed with me for some reason. Everything was fine until when i wanted to take my wedding rings off for the scrub. She offered to take it off for me and then promptly dropped my engagement ring on the table diamond down. It bounced a few times and that is my grandmother's stones in the ring so it's very important it be handled nicely. She saw my facial reaction to that and took the band off gingerly but that's not a way to handle people's rings. I didn't complain but the more i think about it i get upset. I'll be going to the jeweler to check if everything with the ring is ok. I'll come back but probably only for pedicures. read more

I am dying to find a nail salon in Edmond that I can give 5 stars!!!! MOD was just okay. First off, when my daughter and I walked in the door (for pedi's before my wedding) they asked if we had an appt., since when do u need an appt. for pedi's?? They did fit us in and we appreciated that. I also appreciated the fact that the employees spoke English instead of their native tongue. It's so rude and annoying to go to a nail salon and all the employees are speaking a foreign language! ! I just wish I could find a place that would actually put some effort into getting all the yucky hard calloused skin off my heels AND actually take time to get the dry yucky skin off around my toenails!!!!!! Yes, they may feel soft at the time (because they are wet and you have slathered then in lotion BUT you have to actually scrub that stuff off or by the time I get home they are hard again!!!!!!)
