We were going…read moreto have home depot do our carpet, but their "professionals" didn't seem to have experience and couldn't do basic math. Jack has over 40 years experience in the flooring business. We went over to his showroom (by appointment) and he showed us all kinds of flooring and explained everything. (He really knows his stuff.) He is easy to work with and the fee includes everything, materials and installation so there's no confusion or extra charges. In the end his fee was about half of what home depot was asking. The installation went smoothly and we couldn't be happier. Now i feel like i have a friend in the business. Thanks Jack!!

We came across Dan from a roundabout recommendation from a friend. At the point we met him, we…read moredidn't have a tile picked out but knew what we wanted. He was able to organize the schedules of the tile removal and the tile installation within a week. First to comment on the tile removal. Our old tile was really ugly, and consisted of around 1200 ft.² of our house. The crew showed up at 6 AM and we're done around 3 PM. They did a ridiculously good job, even to the point where we could have used the same baseboards. They thoroughly sealed the areas where our furniture was, which was basically carpeted. They cleaned up everything and it was very painless for us. The only thing we did is wipe the walls to remove the settled dust and change the air filter's. Second to comment on the tile installation. Chris the installer showed up early in the morning, and worked diligently throughout the day. He was extremely meticulous and was able to put our tile in very efficiently. I would assume our job was a more complex than most, because we have a basement that is under only half of our house. The transitions from foundation to sub floor were done better than I could have expected. There were a lot of cuts as we wanted the tile to run east west throughout our entire house, even though some rooms were structured differently. Lastly to comment on the baseboard installation. The baseboards were put in and sealed very quickly. They are much taller than the previous, and seem to be of great quality. My kids already scuffed them and they wiped right off. Overall I would very highly recommend Dan and his team to handle Tile Removal and/or tile installation for even a complex job.

Quick summary: Very competitive pricing, excellent customer service and great product…read more We were in the market for some new LVP in the house. We shopped local based on the best reviews we saw in Yelp/Google/FB/etc. Narrowed it down to about 5 vendors. The product pricing across the board was fairly similar, but the installation costs were what varied quite a bit. Due to supply chain constraints, finding a product that we loved that wouldn't show up 6 months from now was difficult, and where we could find product that was in stock, either the price or the install wasn't a match. With European Design, we got it all and within the budget we intended. Not everything in life goes your way, and most of the time it's how you react to it that defines your experience. The same could be said here. We set the schedule... ended up getting the product and availability early! The install was awesome - the gentlemen who did the install were so gracious and sweet to my 3 year old daughter who was curious as to what they were doing, along with our French Bulldog who was equally as interested. The finished job was exactly as expected within the scope. Getting to things not going our way, the transition pieces had a longer delay than we had hoped but as soon as they arrived, they were out to install. Here's where how we react defines an experience.. We have 1 transition piece that's a little finicky, not wanting to stay planted. Even after coming out to re-install, the little bugger just doesn't want to stay put. Rather than make excuses, EDF re-asserted their commitment to make sure it's right and replace the transition till it's perfect like the rest. I'm writing this just before they come back out to address it - now a lot of people would probably wait till everything is sorted to write a review but I'm so confident in these guys, I've got no problem putting it down now. So hopefully this review is helpful for you as you make decisions. We get compliments all the time on our LVP (even from other contractors and builders!!!!). Again, it was the product we loved, at a fair price with install. Highly recommend John and the guys from EDF.

As I do interior decor work and renovations in Toronto, I said that I would take care of the shopping.
