Quick summary: Very competitive pricing, excellent customer service and great product. We were in the market for some new LVP in the house. We shopped local based on the best reviews we saw in Yelp/Google/FB/etc. Narrowed it down to about 5 vendors. The product pricing across the board was fairly similar, but the installation costs were what varied quite a bit. Due to supply chain constraints, finding a product that we loved that wouldn't show up 6 months from now was difficult, and where we could find product that was in stock, either the price or the install wasn't a match. With European Design, we got it all and within the budget we intended. Not everything in life goes your way, and most of the time it's how you react to it that defines your experience. The same could be said here. We set the schedule... ended up getting the product and availability early! The install was awesome - the gentlemen who did the install were so gracious and sweet to my 3 year old daughter who was curious as to what they were doing, along with our French Bulldog who was equally as interested. The finished job was exactly as expected within the scope. Getting to things not going our way, the transition pieces had a longer delay than we had hoped but as soon as they arrived, they were out to install. Here's where how we react defines an experience.. We have 1 transition piece that's a little finicky, not wanting to stay planted. Even after coming out to re-install, the little bugger just doesn't want to stay put. Rather than make excuses, EDF re-asserted their commitment to make sure it's right and replace the transition till it's perfect like the rest. I'm writing this just before they come back out to address it - now a lot of people would probably wait till everything is sorted to write a review but I'm so confident in these guys, I've got no problem putting it down now. So hopefully this review is helpful for you as you make decisions. We get compliments all the time on our LVP (even from other contractors and builders!!!!). They were able to order my flooring even though it wasn't in their showroom. I am extremely happy with working with John in the office. John also followed up with me during the install to make sure everything was going well. The installers were amazing. European Design just completed our floors - wood style pircelain tile, carpet and baseboards. We began working with Jonas in the showroom. We visited a number of times; deciding between wood, wood tiles and vinyl flooring. Jonas was very patient and knowledgeable, guiding us through the decision process. Once we decided, we worked with Marin for the estimation and installation. A few weeks before the holidays, we agreed on a start date about 3 weeks in the future. The demolition started on time, and the job finished on time. A few times, we met with Marin to make decisions, and we stopped by almost daily to see the progress. The tile crew was great, explaining what they were doing, making us comfortable with their skill and ouri decision. We were also getting the house interior painted.Marin worked with us to make the timing work, scheduling the carpet installation after the painting was done. Marin's knowledge of flooring was vastly more superior. They install what they sell. You see the same faces throughout. European Design Flooring ...Can we award 10 Stars? Having made the decision to replace 3 rooms of carpeting with wood floors, we carefully went comparison shopping, not only for the actual wood flooring, but for the installation costs, some of which one might not be aware of. Since we had considered doing wood in one of the rooms about 10 years ago, contracting with one of the big box stores, we knew that the floors had some leveling issues, so we simply re-carpeted. Armed with all this past knowledge, we were able to ask relevant questions directly as to the added costs of leveling the floor, moving furniture, carpet removal and disposal, etc. We targeted 3 other well known wood flooring vendors in the Scottsdale Airpark area, before finding European Design Flooring at Cave Creek & Loop 101. The other 3 were not forthcoming on the potential added costs. One of them charged extra for moving the furniture (and said WE would have to make those arrangements separately!), and they all charged more for the identical brand/type of actual flooring. European Design gave us a top dollar figure they would charge for prepping the floors, and it was ~75% LESS than the other places were estimating, and they ended up charging us less than half of that quote. Let's move on to the installation, which was accomplished flawlessly in 2 days. The installers were beyond wonderful! The floors are so beautiful, and the house was left clean and back together, and they did "round-trip" furniture moving with no extra charge, and with great care for our stuff. You really don't need to shop around... Just go directly to European Design Flooring! read more
