I initially had my kitchen backsplash done by someone else who was absolutely horrendous. He was basically the contractor from hell. The tile had big gaps, not level, and had scrapes and chips all over them. Mike had to tear down all the tiles and start all over from scratch. This review is long overdue. My husband and I are first time home buyers and moved into our new build a few months ago. We discovered that our builder did not adequately seal our master shower grout and missed an entire row of caulk/grout in the step of our shower that goes down to the floor. I frantically scoured Yelp to try and find a reputable tile company that could seal our grout within a short period of time (we were on a time crunch as we had already put in our 30 day notice at our apartment). It's been challenging to find a tile company that will service our home living in the Florence/San Tan Valley area and the several companies I reached out to denied me because of our location or were completely booked and were weeks out just for the consultation. Thankfully, Mike responded incredibly fast (on a Sunday too) and asked to see photos. Shortly after communicating by text/messaging thru yelp he came out to make an assessment. We got to meet his wife too and they are both incredibly nice and professional . We did try another tile company before reaching out to Mike. The owner came out and provided a fairly cheap quote. He sent out two workers to attempt to reseal our grout. Long story short, it was a shotty job that still did not properly seal the grout and actually caused more cracks/repair work. We knew something was off because our walk in shower has a lot of surface area to cover and the workers were finished in less than an hour...terrible experience but it was at least a learning lesson. That said, our issue wasn't fixed and we were back to the drawing board. After explaining our surprisingly common situation, Mike was really understanding and advised he could fix our shower within the week. He was extremely knowledgeable about the process and assured what he could do would last. He took a few hours to get everything done and even left us a bottle of some of the caulking/sealant he used to seal the corners of our shower. My husband asked if people could use that stuff to seal the entire shower and Mike said yeah but it's such a time consuming project not many people do. It's been three or four months now and the shower has held up beautifully!! We actually ended up buying a few tubes of the product he left us and sealed the entire shower with it. It's incredibly durable and when you run your fingers over it, it doesn't smear the grout or break off. I shower multiple times a day and have yet to see any discoloration or cracks. Ultimately, I can't recommend Mike enough!! His experience and expertise is legit and extremely hard to come by nowadays. Also his pricing was even better than the first company we went with.. he really did help us future proof our forever home! read more
