I finally got tired of treating my laptop like something out of Jurassic Park, so I decided to have a professional take a look. It took the gentleman at the counter about two minutes to figure out what was wrong with my computer, explain it to me, and get a solution started! Turns out I need an original Toshiba charger, and they could order one for me right then. (Don't buy replacement chargers, it's not worth it!) I can finally use my laptop like a regular person, and it charges great. They were friendly, fast and solved my problem perfectly!

The Mac Service Experts guy seems to have very thin skin, insecurity issues and/or a serious dose of narcissism (he literally claimed that "no one with 50 miles" could address the computer issue I had - WRONG!), and dealing with him was like dealing with one of those unloved get-off-my-lawn neighbors. A hard drive swap and few minutes later and I was out the door. More importantly, the laptop is in near-perfect condition with specs I couldn't find online or in person at the price Jack quoted. Well worth the drive for a blindingly fast, RAM-stocked, clean Mac machine. Big thanks to Jack and AmpleBay/Macs!
