He called back very soon and, at no charge, Facetimed to see how the computer was running. (He could have diagnosed through remote access but the computer was too slow for that). Mr. Barton figured out the crux of the problem at lightening speed. He explained that the problem wasn't something worth paying for repair. Not only did his honesty not earn him any money, but he gladly recommend some excellent laptops and even sent us the links on Amazon! By the way, we have taken that laptop previously to two local repair shops. We were totally ripped off at the first one and the second one installed upgraded parts but had no solution for the speed problem. Long story short, the company ended up buying two keyboards that wouldn't work for my laptop. And then after they told me they couldn't do the job, I found an hour later that my USB chip for my mouse was gone. I'll give them credit, they drove 20 minutes to drop off the chip and were apologetic throughout the process. However, this does not take away from the fact that I felt that my experience was quite the headache and I had the increasing perception that the company lacked competence. Again, maybe I just had an unlucky experience, but personally I would not recommend this shop.
